I'm trying to remember - I think they would, especially laying with heads at opposite ends, feet towards each other. Another option if you don't want to do a pack-n-play or crib (mine were always out of them before 2) is that there is a chair with an ottoman in the room. My kids actually fought to nap in that each day, it was comfortable for either of them (mine were almost 3 and almost 5 at the time). They actually laid down on it with a pillow, using it as a bed, not sleeping upright if you KWIM. We only had 4 in the room, so plenty of bed space, but they still took turns napping in that chair, LOL!

Thanks!! Good to know!

I hope its not to late guys.....:rolleyes1 .

...

We would go back to the Poly in a heartbeat. And will be back at this special place in our hearts in 2009. This year its gonna be BWI.
Maybe this wasn't that short of a report after all.

Thanks for posting!! Every review and tidbit about the Poly is making me more and more excited to get there in less than a month!!!!!!

What are the patios on the ground floor of the Poly like? Do they have doors to the outside and chairs so you can go outside and sit? Are there any rooms in any of the buildings that are close enough to the pool to see from the pool from the patio or balcony? During DS2's nap time, grandma is going to still in the room while I take DS9 and DD7 to the pool. We would like to request a room close enough to a pool that she could watch the older to kids swim once the little one goes to sleep. What longhouse should we request to be able to do that? I'm just trying to figure out the best location for us.

Here's a photo from our room in Samoa Building facing Volcano Pool:

I am trying to determine what hotel to stay at for our 2009 trip and I was wondering how families of 5 fit into the rooms? There will be me, dh, DS 9, DS 8, DD5. We have stayed at POR and thought it was a little crowded plus the double size beds just arent big enough for DH. I am torn between the POLY and BC. My kids love swimming and I love EPCOT so I thought BC would be nice however, DH loves Bay lake (fishing trips), and I love the theme, food, and the fact that I can watch Wishes and the water parade. Any input from families of 5 that have stayed there would be great. Thank you,

We're a family of 6 (youngest is under 3) and we stayed at the Poly twice last year, and will be this summer. We stay in one room and we don't feel crowded. I think your family of 5 would fit perfectly! :)

Poly vets, will the little ones fit together on the day bed? They're average sized 2/3 and 5/6 year olds.

Not sure they'd fit next to each other, unless they don't mind being close while they sleep. But feet to feet-staggered-might work.

We have a ressie for 11/8 thru 11/19 at a garden view. We are DVC members and had alot of Developer points to use up so we decided we wanted to be at a monorail resort. The only thing available when I made the ressie was a GV. I will try to upgrade since we do have points to play with but just in case I cannot which longhouse/floors/rooms are considered "better" garden view rooms for a request?
It will be myself, my DW, DS (2) DD (4).
Thanks so much

That depends on your needs/interests. Do you prefer to be closest to the TTC, GCH, volcano pool, marina or quiet pool?

Woo Hoo! My ticker is now in days mode. DM picked up are stuff from the travel agent today. We have 5pm dinner ressies at Kona the 28th of May. I will have to try the coffee even if it is night.

I would say closest to the lagoon for firework views/pool views.
Thanks, love the input.

Can someone please tell me more about this photo shoot? Like the price and how I go about setting it up? Thanks a bunch!!!

It's $25 if you pre-purchase a PhotoPass CD (with proof) and $125 if you don't. They take pictures of your party around the Poly, GF or SS. They're not professional photographers, but it is a nice way to get a PhotoPass person to yourself for 20 or so minutes (the man I talked to yesterday said 30 minutes, but I've been seeing 20 posted elsewhere). There are different numbers to set up the appointments at different resorts. I posted the Poly number a few posts back, I think. I don't have it in front of me at the moment.

Thanks a bunch! I will go back and look up the number...surprised I missed it!

Awesome!

BTW, it is never too late in the day for Kona coffee. :thumbsup2 :lmao:

You have several choices that would fit the bill. Tokelau would be nearest the quiet pool, Samoa is between the volcano and quiet pool, and Niue is behind Samoa (a rather small longhouse). Tokelau would be my choice given your requirements.

Can't wait! Leaving for WDW on Friday morning. We will be staying at the Polynesian from May 2 to May 11th and then transferring to the Yacht from May 11 to May 20th. I cannot wait to stay at the Polynesian. We have never stayed there before. I have heard great things about it. We are staying concierge and I am looking forward to the wonderful lounge I have heard so much about. We spend a good amount of time at our resort and I have wanted to stay there so I am glad we chose it this time!
I am just so excited and want to be there now!:goodvibes
