Be careful of those birds; One time they did poop all over our patio; I will never walk outside without my flipflops.
I never saw a bunny, though. I think that would be nice. :thumbsup2

We had a couple ducks that kept coming back. I'm assuming it was because we had a mojito spilled on our porch. We saw lots of bunnies!! And lizards!

LOL Yes there are and they are not shy. The squirrels are a little scary actually with how close they will come to you looking for food.
We saw the ducks swimming in the quiet pool one night. Hmm hope no poop was left in there.

We saw a group of them in the volcano pool one night, and I thought the same thing.

I'm new to this board so if I am asking a question that has already been asked, I apologize in advance. We have just booked a night on the 4th of July GV (all they had) and was wondering if anyone has been there during this time. Do they do anything special for the kids that day or any activities for anyone? I know we will not be going to the MK that night but will want to watch fireworks from the beach at Poly. Can anyone give me some good info because it is getting close to the wire with time and want to know how to plan. Any help appreciated and is anyone else going to be there during this time? Thanks!!!

We just did the same thing and were wondering the same thing! LOL

We have been to Disney in the past but never stayed there during the 4th. Too crowded. My dad wanted to take my daughter to the beach but I think it would be safer to do Disney.

Can you get this anywhere other than the Kona Cafe? Thanks!

I know you can get it during the breakfast at 'Ohana. You *may* be able to get it at Tambu Lounge but I'm not sure.

BTW, we love Lilikoi juice so much I found a way to 'bootleg' some at home. :thumbsup2

A little known fact about WDW: it doesn't matter what resort you are at, if you don't like your mattress, give housekeeping a call and they will replace them :thumbsup2

That's great to know!!! PS (I LOVE the bird in your signature, cracks me up everytime I see a post of yours!!!:goodvibes )

I was wondering if anyone on here knows anything about ordering a cake to have sent to your room at the poly? Will they do this? What would my options be? It would be for my Honeymoon!

Thank You!:)

It's a blend of orange, guava and passionfruit juices. Yummy!!! At the 'Ohana breakfast we got told that Lilo makes it. :thumbsup2

OH MY! It does sound sooo yummy!!! I can't wait to try it!!! My kids will love it too! I may have to try the combo before we go and maybe add ice and make it a smoothie!

THANKS!

If you want just a basic 6" cake, room service can get you one. If you want something a bit fancier, you can call the cake hotline at 407-827-2253 with 48 hours or more advance notice :thumbsup2

I know some of you veterans on this site can help out myself and Daisylove with our questions. I know that they probably have something for the kids and adults to do that day, but I can't find anyone that has been during this time. Daisylove, have you noticed that there are a lot of rooms open on the fourth of July and the entire weekend? Maybe people are doing cheaper things to watch their budgets!! Please Poly lovers, help us out with our questions. Thanks.

Actually when I booked the GV room the castmember told me that it was one of 2 left. Contemporary only had suites and GF was booked solid. I thought it was supposed to be the busiest day of the year other than Christmas day.

We are going to Cirque during our stay, and need to know the easiest way to get there, and back again. We will be having dinner at the House Of Blues after the 6:00 pm show. I remember a thread that deals with this, but darned if I can find it now:confused3 I'm assuming it will be crowded considering we are going the week of Christmas. I would hate to get lost, and miss the last bus out:scared1:
Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much! :)
I did want something a little fancier. DF and I really aren't found of butter cream frosting so I was looking for other options, the Ganche (sp) looks really good!:hyper:

If you take the bus I believe you have to get off at Pleasure Island because they no longer have the bus stop at West Side. However if you have a car I would recommend taking it because for whatever reason the buses from the Magic Kingdom Resort - Downtown Disney seem to be the ones that take the longest. If you don't have a car then I would recommend a taxi.

I haven't been to cirque. But I've been to Pleasure Island (not far from Cirque) and never had a problem getting a Disney bus back to Poly around 2:00 AM or so...it is, however a long ride with a few stops along the way.

This is correct. The bus drops/picks you up at that intersection (for lack of a better term) between Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney.

Agreed! The buses to/from Downtown Disney seem to take f-o-r-e-v-e-r compared to buses for other destinations. Parking is plentiful at the West Side--right at the lot in front of the Cirque tent. Taxis are plentiful and much quicker than the bus if you don't have a car. :thumbsup2

I'll try to help out a little. I've been at the Poly for Christmas but at the MK for the 4th of July though. If the resort has any activities going on, they should have them listed in the Island Press or a schedule of kids activites available in the Keki Corner. The Poly has kids activites going on regardless so it's a good probability that they may have some geared towards the 4th of July holiday.

Now, they are showing the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks on the 3rd and 4th. These fireworks are awesome--especially to view from the Poly beach! :thumbsup2
