LATigger-Isn't Sturdy Branches now free if you're staying at WL? I would assume (but I don't KNOW, though others will, no doubt) that you could use it the day you check out, too.

RachelTori and ADisneykid-Looks like we'll be there at the same time! I'm so glad the clocks came back for our trips. Have a great time!

Dizneykid-Thanks for the detailed information. Good to know where to find them, what they are and how much before I get there.

Back to packing. I've got to take some stuff out to have room for souvenirs...

Sarah

Ronald Duck - you're going to have fun watching it count down!!!

Babybunrab and ADisneykid: I'll be looking for you at WL

Now, back to packing!!! :teeth:

Laura

To those going soon....have a good time and don't forget to print and fill out the room survey on page 99 of this thread. :)

Thanks!

Right now we have a Woods view for a long weekend in September...it is #20 anniversary and going to be extra special but we thoght we'd see what they could throw our way! Would you take a concierge over the honeymoon suite or that deluxe suite?? Have you ever given up a woods view for a courtyard view and lost the fireworks view from your room?

Also, has anyone joined the Sturdy Branchs Fitness Center just for the last day to have a place to shower etc. after checkout? I read it was a good idea for the last day if you just want to pool and Jacuzzi it.

LATigger,

Hello, and WELCOME to the DIS & the WL FAQ Thread. I agree that the planning is half the fun and I always have a group that says well whatever.

Now to try and answer your questions...If you have a woodsview the CM might offer an upgrade to Courtyard View. The Honeymoon suites are located on the 7th floor which is concierge level and has a king size bed..are you traveling with another group or is it just your DH and yourself? You may can upgrade to 7th floor Concierge for an additional cost...the deluxe rooms sleep six, there aren't many so they are usually booked. While I love the view toward the Magic Kingdom I enjoy the Inner Courtyard View more, I love to watch the activity at the pool and love to see the waterfalls and Silver Creek. But none of the Courtyard Views have a view of the Magic Kingdom and only a few rooms can see the higher fireworks from the south wing which have the Courtyard View. So if you want the MK View you will have to be on the North side of the Lodge.

Hope this helped...Good luck with your upgrade, it never hurts to ask.

I am already starting to think what to pack

I know we will leave Italy in more than two weeks, but we are going to stay away from home a long time.:wave2:

I am wondering:
How is the weather going to be in Florida this August?
I mean, on our last vacation I remember wearing just a T-shirt and shorts all time, even at late night in the parks.
The year before however I remember I had to buy sweaters, as it was much colder.:umbrella:

I see some of you "experts" live in Florida or nearby ... so maybe you have updated weather forecast and could give us some good advise - thanks:listen:

Is the Wilderness treasure box still around? If so, can I have directions? I'll be there the end of the month and would love to go hunting for it with my dd.
thanks:wave2:

Sorry. It vanished some time ago and was not replaced. It did last about 4 to 5 months though.

Make sure you have a good trip! ::yes::

So shorts and a cool shirt (white will be the coolest) a poncho for the rain, and a light weight jacket if it cools down after the rain and aboard ship, you are also going on a cruise this trip aren't you. I think maybe some capri paints and a few tops with 3/4 length sleeves would be good for nights at WDW and on your cruise. Remember light colors are your best option beige and white, no dark colors navy and black will zap your energy. If you must have a few colors darker colors are best for your shorts not your shirts.

Majestic,

 I have a few outside shots of WL that I took this past May that I would like to send you. How do i go about doing that??

Thanks :flower1:

Beckie,
your info are as usual so detailed and precious !!!!!! ;)

Your suggestions will be of great help: I was thinking to bring mostly shorts:D , but now I understand it's better for me to pack also a few capri pants and a light jacket.

:boat: yes , we are going to sail on the Disney Magic on the 14th of August ... after all we are celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary!:bounce:

:cloud9: now in Italy we have the same temperatures as overthere ... we remind an hotter Florida :sunny:

I 'll remember your advise about wearing light colored tops: maybe I now need some shopping ... !!!!!!

::MinnieMo :p

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!:bounce:

O.K., well, time to go! :jumping1:

Thanks to everyone for all of your help. We're going to get more out of WL than we would have without this board, that's for sure!

Have a good week, everyone. :grouphug: and I will be sure to bag a balcony picture and complete my survey for Fred.

Take care,

Sarah

Well, it is almost time for us to leave! (I wanted to see my countdown clock one more time!) I think I have packed everything. We will be sure to get all the survey info on our room for Majestic and a balcony pic. We'll be having too great a time to miss this board too too much this week! Hopefully I'll see some of my DIS friends there.

Bye! :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:
