Boswellnakia and Rat Pack-

Have a great time!

Have a safe drive/flight.

We'll see you next week. I'll be watching for lime green Mickeys.

Call the CRO directly. I've yet to see concierge offered on the Disney website. I am fairly certain you will get a room. I can personally vouch for the quality of service you will get there. THey are second to none on that floor. :)

Hi we have decided to stay at Wilderness Lodge the first week of Dec. Have thought about going with concierge but according to Disney's web page that is not an option. So does that mean that concierge is all booked up for our dates, or does it mean that it is no longer offered.

Thanks for the reply, and this is an awesome thread!
I could not decide and commit to WL until I read the first 30+pages in this thread. Thank you soo much.

Off for a few days per the admins. See the tech support board for more info.

Actually someone I work with stayed conceirge this past weekend. Make sure you call CRO. And by the way, he and his wife just loved it. Said "Service Can't Be Beat". :D

Have a wonderful and magical time. Pixie Dust coming your way.

To all who are going to the WL soon, have a great time. Wishing you all the "magic" Disney can give you.

By the way, my DH and I might be stopping by the WL tomorrow night, I will look for lime green Mickeys. I will make sure I have one on too. We need to pick up a pin that I have only seen at the WL. They do have a great pin collections. ::yes::

Just booked WL concierge for first weekend in Dec...just wondering do any of the rooms have bunk beds? I forgot to ask while on the phone.

Actually, I have received quotes for WL concierge on WDW website. I'm not sure if you know this, but at the bottom of the first reservation screen, when you enter your travel dates, there is a box to check to indicate you are interested in concierge services and or suites. It's real easy to miss. If you haven't already given this a try, it may work. Of course, It's just as easy to call CRO just as another poster mentioned. Good luck!

If you really want to get conceirge, I would try again at checkin. Ask about upgrading when you check in. You never know. Good luck. :D

Did you call the CRO or use that checkmark thing on the website? I would still recommend you call the CRO and see what availability they have for whatever dates. I never count on the Disney website for room info.

Hope this helps.

ATTENTION ALL WILDERNESS LODGE GUESTS:

I have been working on a new project for a room database at WL. I need some help here from all of you.

When you go, I need you to print out a survey and fill it out when you are at Wilderness Lodge. Then, when you get back, I need you to email the results to: wdwwl@majesticnetworks.net. This way, one of the database admins can enter the room into the database if it doesn't exist or they can try to update an existing room entry.

ALSO!!! Make sure you take a picture of the view from the balcony and send it over to wdwwl@majesticnetworks.net so I can link it to the database entry.

This will be helpfull for everyone new and old to WL. You will be able to search for rooms based on any of the criteria listed in the room survey.

As always, thank you, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Fred

Please, if you apply, I will need you to provide feedback as to what my be broken and if there is a need to add directions that are more specific.

If interested, send me a PM and I will get the info to you for testing.

Thanks.

Fred

Thanks to everyone who replied. I already have enough people working with me on this so please stand by for me to fix a few things (I hate bugs!) and open up to another round of testing. Special thanks to BabyBunRab for pointing out one NASTY bug! ::yes::

I am pretty sure that those that are testing and wish to chime in will tell you that it is a pretty cool system for all of us. :) ::yes::

More later.

Fred, I can't wait to see what you've cooked up now! It sounds like a great tool for everyone. Like right now, I'm saying to myself "Is room 499 a woodsview"????????

So will we be able to use this to find the area of rooms that we want, and add to our reservations "Please try to place me in Room XXXX or something close to it" ??

Thanks-

Sorcha

Yeah that is what I am hoping for. It will require the cooperation of everyone who goes to fill out that survey that I posted on the page before this one and send me the results for it to work.

Cool huh?

I've begun packing (do not laugh--I can hear you snickering out there...)

Snickering? Nope not me.

I am 70 something days out and I started packing TODAY!!!
We bought a new luggage set a few weeks ago and I was tired of seeing them just sit there.
Now mind you, I am only packing things that I have SPECIFICALLY purchased for our trip. Like special outfits for the kids, and extra bathroom stuff. Like soaps, travel shampoos, my mini bubble baths from Avon and my "just in case of blisters" stuff

I think I would be in a panic if I was 5 days out and was just starting to pack!
Many Kudos to you :teeth:

I too am an early packer. It works especially well when you are going in November or December, because you are packing a lot of stuff that you'd normally be putting away for the long, cold, NE winter! ::yes::

I have a question that I'm sure has been answered somewhere along the line...........but maybe somebody knows off the top of their heads, and I won't have to go "a searchin' " ..
Is FWC, specifically the Trail's End Buffet, a terribly LONG walk from the lodge? I've heard that it is about a mile walk, but it's a nice walk. I was thinking that our first day there, since we won't be arriving until suppertime, we might want to check in and give our legs a stretch and hit the buffet over there, since our beloved Florida Cat spoke so highly of it, and we have never been there. What do you think? Anybody??

Yeah it's about a mile walk but you won't catch me doing it. :)

I'd just take the boat.

As for the food, we had breakfast there one day and to be honest, it wasn't anything we really cared for but it could have been the day we went. Who knows. You have to try places more than once to be sure. :)
