we never herd any noise form anyone except the occssional toddler toddling down the hall way ... it was very private on the balcony .... we loved it.....

Can someone please tell me if we are staying 7 nights at the WL, how often and what do Mousekeeping do? I am getting my tipping envelopes ready. Do they make beds, leave clean towels daily? Change sheets? Vacuum?

Thanks!!

I know this is a dumb question - but what pond?

newholiday,

There is a smallish pond located on the north side of the lodge, and some northside woodsview rooms have a view of it.
Most of the regulars call it the "Otter Pond" because I hear there is a family of otters iving in it.Most enjoy watching their daily antic performances

Chris

I know this has been asked a zillion times, but.........

Are the bear face area rooms courtyard view AND open to the lobby on the other side?
And if so, would that mean all floors except 2?
Chris

PS.
Kimmar......you have a balcony photo in Majestic's Wilderness Lodge Balcony Views album.2nd picture, first page.Is that a bear face room?

Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to get from the Wilderness Lodge to the Campfire and movie over at Fort Wilderness. On the map it seems like its kind of far from the FW boat launch. We will have little ones with us and don't want to have to walk too far with them and all the gear that goes with them!

Howdy Lodgers!

I've searched all over the boards for a map showing room numbers of WL. Does one of these exist and where can I find it?

Also, with excellent help from this thread, we've requested an Inner Courtyard room, 4th/5th floor over lobby (Bear Face Room) Does anyone know if there any trees which block the views from these rooms? Looking at some of the photos from various websites, there are large trees, but it's hard to tell if they block the views when looking out toward the pool.

Thanks!

Sorry...I didn't see your post...I was in Room 4067..there is a small tree that blocks the lake, but after Charley, some of the trees did get blown around

Room 4067

Also..Majestic has some balcony pics in his signature

You should be able to easily jump the green flag boat over to FW. Sometimes there is also a blue flag shuttle boat (usually goes between the contemporary and WL) that does the same.

Lastly, someone may be able to confirm this but I believe you can take a bus over there. ::yes::

Good luck!

Fred

I am betting you are right :p

Thanks again - I am getting so excited!! Our first trip ever, and we are going to the WL! WOOHOO!! I have an excel spreadsheet with our info on it, plans, tips from the board - all laid out to take along. Our trip is paid off, now we are waiting on our 'extras' - luggage tags, etc. I have stuff to make goodie bags for DD(8). Time to go through that stuff and put things in per day, and for the plane ride and see what else we need.

Sorry, can you tell I am getting excited?!?!? :Pinkbounc :bounce:
