Thanks so much.

This was pretty easy.

North Wing, far end, as high as they get me with bunk beds.

I'll post a separate thread on the pool temp. question.

Fred

Fred and others- Yes, this map was adapted from a 4th floor map, and no, I'n not completely sure that the numbers work exactly the same for every floor. However, based on some exploring of the nonconcierge floors while I was there (and some things I've read and heard from others), I am reasonably confident that the room numbers work the same for floors 1 thru 6 (except that in some ares of the lodge there are lower floors "missing" due to elevation changes and common areas).

Use the map at your own risk, but it should be pretty darn close.

Thanks for the room map!!

That's just awesome!!

I'm leaning toward rooms probably on the 2nd floor from 004 to 030 even numbers (I have a woods view reservation). I looked at the Gallery but there aren't many views from this area there. Does anyone have any view photos they can share from balconies from a room ending from 004 to 030 even numbers?

Thanks

Sorcha

After 3 nights at Royal Pacific or Hard Rock, we are moving to WL for 4 nights between 11/28 to 12/2 with my wife, 11 year old son and 5 year old daughter. We've been several times but only stayed on property once (GF). Maybe this will be the start of something new.

At WL, I got a rate of $132 which seemed pretty good but it's a Woodsview...

wanna pm Aspiring Cindy about her experience at HRH before making ressies there. Also, $130 is a GREAT rate for a Woodsview ~ have fun!!

The server can be a little "touchy", so try again in a few minutes.

The first time you do connect and see the title, it will probably take some time before the map appears...but don't give up, it will appear!

....Ronald Duck, I will try again later!

TO all my WL Vets: send mucho Pixie Dust that I can plan (and carry out) a vaca to WDW [staying at WL, of course!] during Presidents' Week! You see, we were SUPPOSED to mebbe go during N. J. Teachers' Convention (like a 5-day mini-vaca) but, a week before school began, my 16-y-o DS decided that he DID want to go to a Catholic H. S. after all. So, $7,000 later, he is now attending Paramus Catholic! Plus, I am going to begin obtaining my Masters [in the Art of Teaching], so that is an extra expense. I figure, that this will give me at least 3 extra months to obtain Disney points (which mean, $, $, $!!) So far, we have about 650 points. I'm hoping for enough to pay my hotel bill COMPLETELY, and, since we will drive instead of fly, that will save an added $1,000 or so. Now, to convince my DH......only one prob. My DH doesn't want to leave my 18-y-o DS home alone [he is a freshman in college and doesn't have 'off' that week:( !]

Betsy - did you get that email the other day? Just wanted to make sure you got it ;)

The bags are packed (well almost). It's almost time to see the Wilderness Lodge that I have been reading so much about.

Thanks to all of you vets for all the information you have shared with me and all the other WL newbies.

Hi,

I'm home, hated to leave the Lodge and BWV, but one must return to the REAL WORLD, We had a great time and a marathon dinner at WCC Friday night...our server Tiny was a hoot and all the children had a great time. (adults also)

I didn't have a refrigerator in either room, but I have to admit I didn't remember to ask about the placement status...I had five children ages 11-5 so I was in a state of shock most of the time.

The pool slide was repaired and everyone had a great time using it.

The Lodge did lose some trees, but over all looked good. A few of the Bear Face rooms now will have a better view of the Lake as several of the large beautiful trees next to the Lobby where lost. The North side of the building (woods view) also lost some trees...so more views of the castle will be seen. The water levels of Bay Lake were way up the beach area if front of the play ground was under water, (our favorite area to watch EWP) but will return to normal in a few weeks.

The first part of the week-end was stressful, because everyone was nervous that Hurricane Ivan would visit. All the storm preparations where being done (very low-keyed) All the lanterns where still tied down. I was so glad Central Florida was spared yet another blow, you could tell which trees where effected by Charlie they where all bent one direction all the trees effected by Frances where leaning in the other direction. Blue tarps were covering many roofs on the drive in toward WDW but other then a few signs and landscaping WDW showed no damage.

I now have my Christmas timer added and can't wait to visit next in November for the International Food and Wine Festival. (NO CHILDREN)

I would recommend a room on one of the higher floors (5th or 6th) and towards the end of the wings. I am pretty sure that the end of the North wing on the 5th or 6th floor is smoking (someone want to clarify that??? I can't believe I don't remember...) so if that's not for you, I would recommend south wing towards the end. If you want REAL quiet request a view of the Villas pool. It's nice and peaceful sitting on the balcony. Not much of a water view but nice.

Majestic
The Sixth Floor rooms 6034-6004 Woods View, Rooms 6031-6005 Courtyard View are designated smoking rooms...there are no Jr. Suites (Deluxe Rooms) located on the on the Sixth Floor.

I also went by the Toy Store over at DTD per disneyfor3 and they also have the
Wilderness Lodge Lincoln Log Set $50.00 there, plus they had the boxes that you can get for $16.00 and can pack with as many pieces as you can get inside the box. I hate the plastic green roof sections on all the newer Lincoln log sets so I just picked the green roof slats (two sizes) and the Mickey cowboys and other little characters I packed that box all the way to the top... :p

Have fun.
