The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

Very excited...we received our Disney mail yesterday. My dd's text had 3 :) to tell me how excited she is. We will be there in 16 days. It is soooo hard to believe!!:cool1:

2 WEEKS to GO!!!

Have FUN to all of you starting your vacations!!:yay:

It sounds like the rest of us will be doing LOTS of laundry:laundy:

QOTD: This is our FIRST trip to WDW...We're looking forward to...
MK: Country Bear Jamboree (no longer at Disneyland & haven't seen it in years)
EP: Spaceship Earth (sounds like my kind of ride)
DHS:Lights Motors Action (boys are excited)
AK: Expedition Everest (love those coasters:scared1:)

I didn't know DL lost their CBJ!! I thought the rule was no getting rid of anything that Walt did personally?
You'll love Space Ship Earth, and did you know that when you get off the ride, it puts you in a large room with lots of games and things to do. My DD8 loves the "energy game" where you use special pushers that look like shuffleboard to get energy needs to the right locations. Its a projection on the floor (game board) but you can push the energy... its cool. And then there is a 3D game where you put the organs in a skeleton, and then he gets up and talks.
We loved Lights Motors Action... not something I expected to love, so we had never done it before, but in August, we saw it and its amazing.
I never do EE because I am not a coaster person, but I've seen the pics my DD22 took in the que and there's lots to see. On your way back from EE, stop at the drink stand in the QS part of Yak & Yeti, they have a tropical drink called a Yak Attack!! Yum!!!

YES!! First time to see Christmas decorations & first time to stay deluxe & first time to stay Premium. Soooo, we'll be doing these things for 1st time: golfing, parasailing, horseback riding, boating, carriage riding, & LA NOUBA!!!!!!!!!!! Another first: No new trip in sight. :sad1: Planning on staying away from WDW for 5 years. :sad2:

WHY??! Say it isn't so!:guilty: Oh.. and what does Premium mean?

Very excited...we received our Disney mail yesterday. My dd's text had 3 :) to tell me how excited she is. We will be there in 16 days. It is soooo hard to believe!!:cool1:

WHY??! Say it isn't so!:guilty: Oh.. and what does Premium mean?

I know. :sad2: Sad, right? But, we've decided to budget in an in-ground swimming pool this spring, so we feel like we can justify it if we give up WDW for 5 years. (Of course the past 2 years DH has said "this was the last trip for awhile."!!) He loves it WAY more than he'll admit! :rotfl2:

Read this thread...it's what gave me the idea in the first place! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2404255
It was around $1500 for 4 ppl for 1 night, but when you add it all up, it makes sense! We get a THEMEPARK view room at Poly + each person gets: THREE TS meals (can all be signature), 2 snacks, 1 refillable resort mug, all the tours, & most of the activities that you can fit in for your "check-in day" & the day after. DH has always wanted to golf at WDW & I've always wanted to see LaNouba. This is our 5th yr in a row to go & we wanted to see something different this time around. PLUS we didn't want to be in the parks on Thanksgiving or the day after.

We leave tomorrow..... packed DS today... and did get my stuff out and on the bed... just not in the suitcase yet.... ahhh... but the golf clubs are packed... important things..lol...

looks like it will be chilly first couple of days.... thats okay.. they are expecting snow here...

Rainy and cold Thursday in NJ just reminds me this time next week I'll be in warm and sunny WDW - more exactly Animal Kingdom

:dance3:6 days!!!:dance3:

Oh - isn't it AWFUL out? This time tomorrow, if all goes well, we'll be checking in to our Downtown Disney hotel...and Sunday we'll be at AKL!:goodvibes We're leaving in 6 hours!!!:dance3:

Today I hit single digits, 9 more days!!! So I took DS to the doctors this morning and sure enough he has the beginnings of a sinus infection and allergies so he is on an antibiotic and claritin. I also have a sinus infection and am on antibiotics.....hopefully this will mean that by next saturday we will be healthy again.:goodvibes

Same here...me sinus infection and meds, Kipp, strep and meds, and today dd has been weeeeeepy!! I just wheedled out of her that yeah, her throat does feel kinda scratchy! So, If she has a HINT of anything in the morning...to the dr we go AGAIN!!!!

We adore our in ground pool!! Best thing we ever bought...hands down!!! And do salt water!!!!! no comparison...and in Texas where we are, the heat just absorbs the Chlorine waaaay to fast and is a constant job. Salt is easier, cheaper, and better on your body!

CBJ was replaced in 2003 by Pooh. So when I stared planning this trip I was excited to see it at MK. It will be very nostalgic for our family:grouphug: Thanks for all the tips! Yak Attack is now on the to do list:thumbsup2

That's definitely what we're leaning towards! What's odd is one of the guys who gave us a bid was trying to push us towards chlorine. (I guess for residual sells of chlorine over the years?) Anyway, we all LOVE the water & I can't wait. :woohoo: DD is the only one who would give up months & months of swimming per year for 10 days at WDW.

Sorry to see your still feeling bad :( And I'm really sorry about the kids too!

so now my 6 year old has red spots on the back of her throat and uvula. It could be viral or strep. She had a temp for 1 day an now her fever is completely gone so I am not sure if I should bring her in to be seen or wait a couple of days...ugh.

:jumping1:This is how I feel on the inside.

:cool2: This is how I look on the outside.

:laundy: This is what I have been doing for days!

:coffee: This was me working on TPlans while listening to christmas music on cable tv today.

:scared: This is how I look when I look at how many weekends left until we leave.

popcorn::This is me now soaking up the Dis.

 ...and this is how excited Im getting knowing we only have 18 days until we leave for Thanksgiving with the family, 22 days until we are in the car and on the road to Orlando, and 23 days until we walk into my favorite place on earth.

Oh Crud!! Yeah..bring her in..you know if you don't she'll relapse over the weekend...that is what happens if I try to skip it!!! LOL!! I am soooo glad we caught Kippers early!!! GEEZ! I can not imagine having strep on vacation...he is sooooo miserable!

I hope everyone gets well asap and the rest all stay well!

I have pretty much cut off all contact with the outside world in hopes to avoid catching anything before we go. Probably over cautious of me but I am trying to do the best I can to avoid germs! We are skipping playgroup, play dates and not going to any of my son's normal toddler indoor play places. Like I said totally over board but I have to keep my son well last thing he needs is another asthma flare up!

Seems like I just posted on here that we were IN the teens and already we are OUT of the teens.

12 Days...

Panic has started to set in, and the nervous tummy (I am famous for that.) I will feel better after the weekend when I plan to do the majority of the rest of the packing.

Feel better everyone, and everyone's kid-os. Better now then on your trips though.

I took DS8 to the dr. yesterday. He has bronchitis and STREP. She almost didn't test him for strep because his throat was slightly red. We were both surprised when it came back positive.

Shelley, duffy and Wendy, I hope you all have a wonderful trip!

I am doing the single digits dance!!! My ticker is off by one day...

9 DAYS!!!

Just checked the weather- it is supposed to be sunny and 82 on our arrival day- woohoo!!
