So sorry for your loss. I can't imagine that day, my grandparents raised me and are really the only extended family I have. So sorry for what you are going though.

QOTD: We are doing MVMCP on the 19th. We actually added a day so we could do it because we are there Thanksgiving week too. We are driving and leaving the 18th right after school is out. Get there in the morning and hopefully get a room not too late so that we can get a nap! This will be our 3rd time, can't wait!

We're driving in on the 18th and doing the same thing. Hopefully, my DH will let me help with the driving. If he is in the car he wants to be driving. We only have 6 hours because we're leaving from my aunt's house in Columbia.

vllygrl..I am so sorry for your loss. I understand your guilt over the vacation..I was in a very similar experience 5 years ago.

My mother's brother died suddenly (he was 50) of a suicide. I had been planning a grand gathering for 13 of my family for 5 days later..it included my parents, sister and family, brother, and aunt and uncle and my family.

We thought for sure that we would cancel and I was very upset and felt so guilty about feeling upset about a silly vacation. My mom decided that we should go...that it could be good for the family. So, we had the funeral 5 years ago today on Halloween and left for Disney the following morning.

It really was a nice vacation...I see can alot of sadness in people's faces, especially my mom in the photos but also there was some healing. Good luck and prayers to you and your family.

Well, there's my whole trip! Looks pretty good to me, but I'm still packing some jeans. Now, as long as Tropical Storm Tomas doesn't do anything stupid . . . I know, I know, Florida needs the rain. But how about if we get the rain at night and not in the form of a storm or, dare I say, hurricane?

No rain please!! I am a Floridian, but for this trip I'm in a tent for a week, so I REALLY need that Florida sunshine!

Good news for me! The golf cart rental guy finally called yesterday and is refunding the fees I had! He said that he has assistants that usually check the messages, but he does every now again to see whats going on and that no one had told him about my call. He apologized for the error and stated he would post me a refund immediately for the fees I had. Needless to say, I am a much happier!! So.... if you are ever in Orlando and need to rent a golf cart, I know a good company

I'm getting nervous about MK. I just read a compaint that someone had and it said "half the MK is boarded up." I dind't realize that much was boarded up, hoping that is an exaggeration. MK is my favorite, and I know this are in transition this time and while I wish it wasn't, I know things have to be that way to make improvements, but I hope it isn't terribly disapointing. Anyone been fairly recently to know?

Sigh, we had awful news this morning. My grandmother passed away last night, and was found by my aunt and uncle this morning....as they were moving in. She was an amazing artist, and truly loved my son, who is 6, her only great grandchild. He was hysterical crying this morning, so his daddy took him out to breakfast and to watch the trains go by.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Since we added a day to the start of our trip, in 2 weeks at this time, we will be finishing up our snacking around the world for F&W and getting ready for the HDD!

I still have so much to do! Does anyone have a day-by-day to do list countdown? I tried to brainstorm last night, but I just feel like I am forgetting something...

I'm back! Had a great weekend on retreat discussing the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the peacefulness was just what we needed after the trials of last week. Now just six more days until we leave again, this time for Orlando!

For the person (don't remember who it was) who asked about Photopass, yo ucan combine multiple cards at the end, that is what we do, you never know when people won't be together and a god photo-op will come up.

Yes you can use both Photopass card numbers on the same online account.

Sorry about all the woes you have had this week! Isn't it amazing how they all seem to come at once!!! I am a firm believer though that God does not give us more then we can handle, even if WE don't think we can handle it! So just think of it this way, we must by mighty strong!!!!

I just wanted to thank you all for the kind words of support. This is affecting me a little more profoundly than I thought it would, possibly because there was no warning. There are so many feelings stirred up right now - she had sent my son a new train calendar earlier in the week, and I was going to have him call her to thank her yesterday...I'm just sad.

I'm also feeling a lot of guilt right now, because we're supposed to be leaving Thursday night. I can't help but try to determine how this will affect our plans, and then I feel horrible for even entertaining those thoughts. Sigh. I don't think there's anything to be done today, so I'll just focus on my son and Halloween.

Thanks again, everyone. It means a lot to me that there's a place I can come to to get a little of this out.

I really don't get the whole "pump it yourself" deal.... the gas isn't any cheaper (at least between Oregon and Washington prices) and you end up smelling like gas....

It is kind of funny to me to hear people talking about how they cannot stand the thought of pumping gas. It has been several years since I even saw a full service station anywhere near my town. And when we did still have them their gas was $ .30 - $ .50 per gallon. So pumping gas to me is no biggy and not even something I really think about.

WDW Dining found our missing ADRs. I am so relieved. DH informed me last night he now wants to eat in the castle. I said, "!" He is such a silly man.

DME told me that they sent DS16s resort luggage tag on the 26th and 27th. Hopefully, I'll get them today. DME also said his SWA flight # was invalid. I called SWA and they said it has been that # for a long time and was certainly valid. My head hurts.
