The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

I was fiddling with my ressies (AGAIN) Sunday, and it had a notice that one day this week the online ressies would not be available. They will be upgrading or something and you will have to call in for ressies/changes...did anyone else see that? Just wanted to let you all know..I think it's Thursday.

I believe it will be down from 4 o'clock today 10/12 until the morning of 10/14 , the way I read it I thought it included everything related to making reservations and changes , resort and dining online and on the phone with CRO

We could use all the prayers you could send our way right now. Friday night, DH lost his job. There was no reason. No warning. No Nothing. He was called at 10:30 at night and told they weren't happy with him. Which is really funny since not even two weeks ago, they said he was one of the best Blaster they have ever seen! Yes, we are going to look into Wrongful Termination. We believe he has strong grounds for it.

Jobs lose aside, we are okay. We know God has a plan and that everything will work out in the end. Financially, we are okay to. Atleast for a little bit. But, if he doesn't get a job soon, we are going to have to cancel our trip. I really hate to, but we have to be responsible. Disney, regardless of what my brain tells me, isn't a requirement. And it isn't like this is our first (or last) trip. But it was going to be a special trip. And it hurts a bit to cancel. But as life, poop happens!

And since we finally told the kids and told them the surprises we had planned, I will share with you all too. We changed our resort back in July to the Poly. Both DDs really have wanted to stay there for a long time. It isn't my fav but this trip was suppose to be special, so I really wanted to surprise them and stay there. We also changed our ADRs some. We changed arrival night to Grand Floridian Cafe. It is DD1 favorite place on property. We ordered her a bday cake to be made by the GF bakery. It was going to be a Alice in Wonderland themed Mad Hatter shaped cake. We moved our Yachtsman to Friday night and canceled our Candlelight Processional Package. And for DD2, we canceled Cape May breakfast on Thanksgiving and changed it back to Chef Mickeys. We had literally made this the perfect trip for our kids.... Oh well, if things don't work out, we can do it again next time.

It sucks. But life goes on. As the saying goes, "If he brings you to it, he will bring you through it!" I keep repeating that. And "Theres A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow...."

So sorry to hear that but you are exactly right...The lord will take care of you guys and bring ya through it. {{{{hugs}}}}}

So sorry to hear this. I pray that he will find a job quickly. You have a great attitude about it though and those with faith will be provided for.

Doors must shut for other opportunities to arise. May something better for your family come soon to put your family back at ease.

My DH was laid off for 3 months last year. Luckily he was called back to work but I know how it feels to be so unsure about what is in store for the future.

Oh Jessica, I am so sorry. That really sucks. Unfortunately I am able to say that we too have been through this. :sad2: Back in 2004 my DH was off for back surgery. While he was off his employer decided to get rid of him. Just called him in one day and fired him. So there he was recovering from major back surgery and had to look for a new job. With no luck for quite some time. And I was working part time back then as a bank teller. Luckily I was able to pick up some extra hours and between that and his unemployment we were able to make ends meet. We were very mad and bitter for a long time. But in the end DH found a much better job, which led to a move (only 45 minutes south of where we were), which led to more opportunities for him, a better school for the kids, my job at the school now, etc. So try to keep in mind that the Lord has a plan for you, even though it may be hard to see it right now.

Good luck to you. Keep us posted.

We got our ME tags and notification our waitlist came through! Now I have to keep it a secret from my kids, for another 25 days!!!!

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he is able to find something quickly :(

27 Days here and still playing around with the ADR's

Over the weekend after looking at the breakfast food I have on order from Garden Grocer I decided rather than it go to waste to have breakfast in our room 4 morning instead of 3 so I cancelled the Crystal Palace since it was later morning , not what I wanted anyhow and I cancelled a TH I had grabbed for our last morning a few days ago but since that is our last day and last chance to eat at Boma's even though we will be going to AK for the day.

One reason I wanted to stay at AKL was because of Boma's as my DH reminded me

I need to sit down and go over the detail park schedules of what we do not want to miss this trip

I called where we board bella to verify the vet faxed over the boardtella vacine record and of course they had not  so put another call into the Vet's office , will call back Best Friends tomorrow again to check on it.

I feel like the time is just flying by and I have so much to do I need to start packing !
