The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

10 days! Online check in day!! :woohoo:

Gotta wait for co-worker to let me use her PC, bc my dinosaur doesn't support Disney's website... :guilty:

Why oh why does my son have the sniffles?!?!? Please pleaseeeeeee don't ket this bother his asthma!!

Oh boy..I know this feeling! Maybe its just allergies. Is he coughing? If so, start the albuterol right away. Is he on an inhaled steroid? Make sure he takes it! good luck!:)

3 more sleeps:banana::banana: I went to Home Depot last night to get Mickey Heads to decorate our BWV door. I am not sure what I want it to say..I am thinking "Belle and Abby..welcome back! Love Mickey and Minnie"..inside the room I am going to have a surprise waiting for them on the bed.

I feel like I should be doing something else!! I have our clothes packed, an overnight bag packed for the train, snacks, activities for the girls. All I really need to pack up is our last minute toilletries and all...Hubby has to pack up his stuff but he'll do it Friday.

I guess I could do some light cleaning..but I usually wait til the day before because things get messed up if I do it too early;)

Maybe I'll get a pedicure today after I bring my preK kid to school:thumbsup2

btw..the weather for next week is looking FABULOUS!!!!! so excited.

he coughed like twice this morning, enough to make me panic and move our action plan to the yellow zone!

He gets flovent twice a day and singulair at night. I am going to increase his flovent to 3 times a day. I started up albuterol and depending how he's sounding I may toss in the combivent neb treatment in 4 hours instead of just albuterol. Hopefully it's nothing! I'll probably going to the pedi tomorrow for a reassurance for myself even if he sounds fine!

that sounds perfect!! My daughter is also on Flovent..we haven't needed to start singulair yet..but I am on it and I love that drug!!
I am a nurse at CHOP and treat lots of asthmatics and this is exactly what we would tell you to do. Just be careful if you take him to the dr that he doesn't touch ANYTHING!!! the peds offices are covered in germs;):thumbsup2

I was reading my Celebration magazine and there was an article about the busy holidays and it said that the parks often reach capacity and close. We are going to HS on Thanksgiving, but leaving to walk over to the Yacht Club for dinner and then hoping to return for the lights and now I'm nervous we may not be able to get back in!

We had no problem on Thanksgiving day in 2007 with park closure. And that was when the economy was good and Disney didn't have to bribe people to come?:eek: We were there this past spring break, and one day, it got to a stage 1 closure, which is when my son and his friends boarded a Disney bus, the bus driver asked them to show resort ID. The parks close is stages. The first stage is parking lot closure to outside guests (those not staying on property).. which is probably why the bus driver made sure that they were resort guests. If they close parking lots to outsiders, technically, someone could park closeby off property like an outlying lot at DTD, and board a resort bus. So they ask for ID. I don't remember what the other stages of closing are, but as long as you're staying on property, you should be fine. I also think that it is more likely for Magic Kingdom being the classic park, to close first. Not DHS. We will be at Animal Kingdom on Thanksgiving day... if everyone agrees to follow my careful plan. Then we have Chef Mickey for 3:30 Thanksgiving meal, then we're going to do another park. Maybe DHS. That part of the plan isn't set because we also might resort hop and look at decorations.

I have been all over the Disboards for the past couple of months (since booking our trip), but just now discovered this thread (duh!).

Anyway - we have 4 more days until our trip! I am usually so much more prepared than this time. I've barely started packing, and I'm still trying to to get a couple ADR's.

Have fun! You know, the trip I most enjoyed was the trip I had planned the least. It ended up being a nice thing to be able to be much more spontaneous than we usually are. Hope you have a great trip and welcome!

It's funny .... I think I have less planned this trip .. but more planned at the same time.

We have our ADRs set and that's great - so that impacts or rather falls in line with our Park plans, but we did opt for Park Hopper so there is potential to be all over the place when we are there.

I think we have really want to do's maybe a must do here and there but really just going to try to soak up as much of the atmosphere as possible.

Ok so maybe by the looks of it there is some planning going on here, but really it's not near as much as when we went Aug '09.

:yay::yay:"Tomorrow, Tomorrow..."
Flying out tomorrow evening and will hopefully arrive at Pop by 9 and head out to MK Friday morning.

This is our 3rd excursion to Disney this year, so we feel less of a demand to visit everything in all the parks. Last trip we spent more time at DHS than in any past trip. I'm feeling very EPCOT & MK this trip! lol We also are going to visit Ft. Wilderness, have dinner and do Chip & Dale's campfire which we never did. We also want to watch a boat parade, see fireworks from Poly's beach or maybe FT. W's if that works out after the campfire. We want to make sure we visit the resorts to look at the Holiday Decorations. We also are going American Idol as audience and Fantasmic dinner package.

We plan to do alot of pre-packing on Saturday. Just called member services and confirmed my requests. I can do online check-in tomorrow. :banana:

We were able to have time to go watch the fireworks from the beach at FW before the last show of HDDR last year which was nice, hope the timing works out for you

We have done thanksgiving '08 and '09 nad i am not aware that there were park closures either year. We are doing DHS in themorning T'day , and then hopping to EPCOT for dinner. I agree that the likely park to close would be MK. The only times i have heard of it getting to stage 4, which is the only stag that effects onsite guests who already have tickets, is Christmas day, New year's day, and Easter. Has anyone here heard a respot of parks getting to stage 4 on Thanksgiving??

It should because we're eating at 6:30 at Trails End, then at 7:30 is the camp fire and 8:00 starts the sing a long. I don't know how long that is, but it couldn't be more than a 1/2 hour to an hour. So we should have plenty of time because Wishes starts at 10 right? or is it 9?

3 DAYS LEFT!!!! AKV HERE WE COME!
we will arrive at 10:55am and have a 1:30 Teppan Edo lunch scheduled. Is it wrong that I'm way way more excited than my DH and kids? Or, is there something wrong with them?

:cheer2::cheer2: 6 more days!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

This is our youngest DD's first trip and our first time in Disney during the holidays! Can't wait to see everything decorated!!
