We had no problem on Thanksgiving day in 2007 with park closure. And that was when the economy was good and Disney didn't have to bribe people to come?

We were there this past spring break, and one day, it got to a stage 1 closure, which is when my son and his friends boarded a Disney bus, the bus driver asked them to show resort ID. The parks close is stages. The first stage is parking lot closure to outside guests (those not staying on property).. which is probably why the bus driver made sure that they were resort guests. If they close parking lots to outsiders, technically, someone could park closeby off property like an outlying lot at DTD, and board a resort bus. So they ask for ID. I don't remember what the other stages of closing are, but as long as you're staying on property, you should be fine. I also think that it is more likely for Magic Kingdom being the classic park, to close first. Not DHS. We will be at Animal Kingdom on Thanksgiving day... if everyone agrees to follow my careful plan. Then we have Chef Mickey for 3:30 Thanksgiving meal, then we're going to do another park. Maybe DHS. That part of the plan isn't set because we also might resort hop and look at decorations.
