They only practice 2 days a week each, it just happens that none are on the same day. Go figure! As soon as outdoor is over, then we go into indoor soccer and basketball. Then back to outdoor soccer. I am thinking DD2 is burning out on soccer. She only really played because her sister plays and a few of her friends. But most of them have quit. DD1 will probably never quit. Not to brag (okay, bragging alittle! ;) ) but DD1 is pretty awesome at soccer. We have had local college coaches approach us already. She already has her future planned. She wants a full ride to college for soccer, major undecided. She says she is to young right now to really know what she will want to be in 10 years! lol But she knows she is going to play for Team USA in the Olympics! She dreams big and we are right behind her encouraging her along the way!

I told DH if he deploys again or goes back to working all the time that I am leaving. Or gluing a kid to him. I figured the least he could do it take a kid! I am so over the single mom thing, especially since I am married! LOL

There you go! I was really lucky to have a great friend that I could carpool with. Congrats on your daughter. She may be the next Mia Hamm.

I was sitting here reading all the posts about school and sports starting up again for a new year, a big smile on my face filled with the memories of my own DS's.

I recall the relief of the school year starting anew and the running back and forth mine played little league baseball and lil pal basketball, winter baseball, then of course there were the cub and boy scout meetings, never a free weekend and of course my DH worked so many hours he hardly ever was able to make the games or activities unless they happened to fall on a Sunday his one day off.

I evny you all now that I am older , I had always thought I would have grand babies to be running after but it is not to be it seems.

Enjoy these times no matter how hectic they seem now one day you will look back fondly on the memories

Oh, Sheila:hug: That just broke my heart for you!

My kids start back next Wed and we have open house before, but I am ready to get back to some structure and a decent bedtime!! I miss my evenings of watching TV and being able to talk to my DH a little!
I also just got a phone call from my sister. Her friend works at Universal and she had asked about tickets. She just let her know that she can get us 2 free tickets and fastpasses for all of us for all the HP stuff! But now that my inlaws are coming, I don't know if I can fit it in. Have to do some replanning, I love HP!!

Now I am a bit embrassed, I did not mean to come off sounding so pitifull, it's just a hard week for me Sunday was 13 months since my DS :littleangel: passed away and Saturday is his b-day, spending today with my other DS did not help as we reminiscented while we were out

Thank You for your kind words

Wow, that is awesome about your DD!! :cheer2:

I hear ya on the single-married mom thing. For several years when the kids were younger and my DH was climbing the ladder at work he was gone all the time. I seriously felt like a single mom. It was like he only slept here. It has gotten better in recent years, but the high hours come and go now. It's not as hard on me now that the kids are getting older though.

Is it November yet????????????????? :sad2:

We're getting there!! :cool1:

Sheila

I do try to cherish these times even in all the craziness, as I know they are going by all too fast.

We're doing Chef Mickey's on the 13th but our ADR isn't until 7:55. I'm still hoping something will open up for an earlier time. I see you're coming from SC. We are from NC. Our arrival is the 13th also but leaving on the 20th. Where are you staying?

Thanks !
Several pages back, alot of us posted our park plans. Not sure what pages or exactly how far back they are since we are such a talkative bunch! LOL

I think my plans must have changed a dozen times since we originally posted our ADR's and daily plans. I I need to stop "tweeking".

Yesterday I picked up a pkg of colored index cards I forget who mentioned using them to write down the important items for each day, ADR conf. # and must do's each day but soon I am going to start writing them out maybe today, I "think" I made the final changes on my ADR's this morning

I talked to DH last night and I think we figured out how to get HP in. My MIL will be with us from Sat to Tues, and then SIL and kids come in Tues early afternoon. I think we're going to take just my DS11 and leave DS6 w/ MIL to swim or go to DTD (he doesn't like thrill rides anyway) and get there at opening at 9. We'll mainly just do HP and then meet up with everyone in the afternoon. And we'll only have to buy 1 ticket!

ah back to school talk....well summer must be coming to an end then...

mine go back next Tues/Wed...all 4 of my kiddos are in school and this yr it's juggling 3 schools  2 in 6th...1 in 2nd and 1 in pre-K...at least my youngest has the bus door to door for pre-K...

tomorrow is schedule pick up for my twins starting 6th and tonight we are hosting a back to school movie night for our 2nd grader and a couple friends....haven't decided on the movie...Disney for sure...maybe 'old school Hayley Mills: Pollyanna :goodvibes

non of my kids are in sports...but we'll have before and after band/orchestra plus private cello lessons, church clubs and choir and DS has Scouts on Mon...it will be busy but glad to have the schedule again...

Thanks !

Mine keep changing as well. :upsidedow I really need to get my plans nailed down and cancel the extra ADR's that aren't going to fit into the schedule. I'm just afraid that I will cancel them and then change my mind! :rotfl:
