Im up way too late, laptop battery going dead, havent been on Dis in days, cant read it all, but so glad to get my Disney fix before bed. Starting to pack for summer vacation has me stashing and shopping for Disney, because of course Im way more excited to plan for a trip over four months away than one that is less than three weeks away!!

QOTD Or I should say yesterday... I carry a cannon point-and-shoot. I have a canon slr but as much as I love to think I was a photographer in a past life, I just dont like carrying around a large camera when Im on the go. I got really good pics last year with my A2000IS. The flash delay is my only complaint.

Good to know I am not the only one that feels this way, I am very critical of the photos I take which stems from the days I used my manuel slr, I was happy with the pictures from my fuji bridge camera last year(it has manuel settings besides the auto ones) but found it still was a bit to lug around the parks , I just have to keep playing with my new point and shoot before vacation and convince myself about the picture quality.

I mentioned this just two days ago to one of my roommates! It'll be her first trip so I'm enjoying randomly say "X Months/weeks/days till Disney" Then we spaz for a few minutes before returning to what ever we were doing at the time

It seems hard to believe are counters are all headed towards 3! I think coming here is helping the time pass more quickly for me this time. It just helps to have friends who share the obsession!!

Can't believe we are approaching the three month mark!!!! So exciting.

QOTD: I use a Nikon point and shoot lil number. My dh uses a Sony something or another small camcorder. I'm camera illiterate! but i love taking lots of pictures. I take mostly pictures with my family in the shot where my dh loves to photos/vid of scenery and shows.

So I just remembered I need to cancel ADRs I had for Nov 7- 14th cause now we are going the 14th -21st. I had CRT dinner, 1900 Park Fare dinner, and Chefs de France lunch and a BBB MK location apt.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up so well the last few days. We have been away. I had a conference for work about 2 hours from here at Seven Springs. http://www.7springs.com/ We had a great time and learned lots. DH even attended the workshops with me! The kids had a blast at the Kid's Club they have there. Now we are home and tired. I just never sleep well in hotels, except for Disney!

So I'm getting caught up on things at home, but I just wanted to pop in and say -- Happy JULY!! We are one month closer to NOVEMBER!! I can't believe we will all be hitting the 4 month mark very soon!

The time is just flying by, I was thinking today I need to mark the calendar for placeing our order for the garden grocer and I need to make a reservation for the hotel by the airport for the night before we leave.

Yay for July!!! Shelly...glad you had a good time! I won't be on much for a while..only poppin' in now and again....laptop light finally did me in....had to take it to the shop. So...I am borrowing hubby's when I can. Hope you all have a great 4th of July weekend!!!!

Well we had a birthday in our house yesterday! Justin turned 9!! Ack, where does the time go! Jayda's birthday is on the 24th, so we did a combined celebration at Chuck E Cheese last nite. They both got all the special b-day treatment (crown, light-up glasses, time it the ticket booth....) and were thrilled at everything they got.

I also finally got to meet my great niece!! She is almost 8 months old and was born in Hawaii due to my niece's hubby being in the Army. Let me just say she is adorable!! (I will try to post pics from the party this weekend.) It was good to "meet" her and see my two great nephews as well. (Oh yeah, it was good to see their Mom and my nephew as well )

we had such a great time.. and then of course the week long cruise.. that was fantastic..but I can tell you this.. next time I go on a cruise.. it will be a Disney cruise!!!

I'm glad to hear you had such a nice trip. Awesome pics! (I haven't made it through them all yet, I am up to the CP pics right now) You have a beautiful family. It looks like your boys really enjoyed CBR's POTC rooms and the pools!

you know.. surprisingly, it wasn't that bad.. I mean it was hot.. but not any hotter than it was up here.. there was low humidity.. which I know helped..

Thanks! Yes, it was a very nice time. But it's good to be home. Funny how I'm always ready to come home after a few days of being away, except for when I'm as Disney and I'm NEVER ready to come home!!

I think I have issues. I am already talking about next Nov with DH. LOL Guess there is something to be said about set vacation times! We know we will be going to Disney, but I think we have decided to do something we never have before as a married couple. And that is stay at a Value! And go with no ADRs but Ohana breakfast on our first day (its tradition!) and maybe Thanksgiving dinner which we would pay OOP! We may even do Thanksgiving Dinner at the food court. I have heard they do a Turkey Dinner there too! The kids are loving the idea. They think we should change everything and do it this year. But that is not happening!

Any of you ever done that, gone from a Deluxe to a Value? I am sure we will be fine just doing QS. Altho, it might be a bit of a shock considering we have not went without atleast 1 TS a day since 2005! But I think it might be fun. Just to wing it. No real plans, no having to be somewhere on time. And I am sure our bank acct will appreciate the extra money in it!

You only have the same issues as the rest of us

I started talking about our trip next year because I wanted to plan on going to HP at US but DH wants to go back to Montana next year ok so I said how about driving and then keep driving to DL Hey a girl can try it worked the year we went to Las Vegas, I said hey we will be so close lets go to DL too and we did

We have never stayed at a value, DH refuses he just feels they will be too noisey etc, then my youngest DS stayed at ASSports in 2008 with his then GF and her mother and hated it, we have spoiled both our kids I guess by mostly staying at Deluxe resorts. Personally I would be willing to give it a shot and stay at a value especially with FD, I even worked out a few senarios for this fall but I know DH, DS and Ddil would all cry nooooo.

BTW I would not give up YC this year either

Not at all.. I am already starting to think about our trip in 2011 or 2012.. whenever fantasy land is complete!

This will be my first time staying at a Deluxe, I have stayed at a Mod and a Value.. but I can't imagine I would want to go back to a value for a long period of time after staying at a deluxe, I may be able to do a short trip there.. a few days.. but that's just me.. and its not because of the rooms per se.. its more of a noise factor for me..


I know we have to do it.. but it just killed me to book our flights.. UGH.. $918..
