I love those big chocolate chip cookies and turkey legs

I am just tickled! DH did the most amazing thing today. He made reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table for our anniversary! :lovestruc It was a total surprise. It is the same night we'll be at MVMCP.

I am so excited :yay: I had sort of put Cindy's table permanently out of my mind because why would DH & DS want to do a princess thing? Well, they floored me today

Now....what to do about a tiara? :lmao:

QOTD - pretty much anything from the French bakery

What is your favorite Disney snack?

Mickey Bar. I have to eat the ears first!

KSBelle-When are you going on the train tour? I'm booking it for Nov. for the guys in our group. My stepfather is in his 80s and I think he will really enjoy it.

Good morning everybody!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to any dads out there!!

QOTD--Pineapple Dole Whip----YUMMY!!!!!!

YUMMY is right!! :goodvibes

This morning I was able to book the Magic Behind the Steam Trains Tour. I had been trying for along time to book it but they kept telling me that they were not sure it would be running because of the expansion and now today they let me book it. I just hope they don't change their minds. Have any of you done this tour?? and how did you like it????

Nope, we haven't done any tours yet. But it sure sounds fun! :)

I am so excited to join the November group. It will be just me and my husband as my 2 teenage boys don't want to come. I went to the travel agent on Monday and they had no club level rooms available with the 40% off pin but when I called to book on Thursday, the wonderful guy at Disney said there was a room and it only cost me $94 more. Grabbed that room with a savanna view!!! I am sooooo excited as this is our first trip to Disney since 1998. With a dairy farm, not always able to find someone to cover for us but the boys will watch over things while our milker takes care of the cows.
I have booked Crystal Palace Dinner for 11/16. Thinking of doing Mickey Merry christmas party but not sure if it's worth the money. Also, what is people take on Mickeys Backyard BBQ?
Can anyone point out how I can do the ticker? Thanks for all the wondrful info I have gotten already and all the info I will get in the future :banana:Sue

:welcome: to our group!!

I see you figured the ticker out. Now you just want to go to your "user cp" and create a signature and put the ticker in it, then it will be there with every post! :goodvibes

QOTD: What is your favorite snack?

Like everything else, I can't just pick one! You are seriously asking way to much of me! LOL So here are my favorites!
Dole Whip Float
Cinnamon Bun from MSB
POPCORN! Do they have their own special butter there? Cause I could seriously eat a bucket or two a day on my own! LOL popcorn::
And of coarse, Mickey Bars! :mickeybar

We are taking the train tour on 12/2. Had it booked last Sept. but Disney cancelled all tours after the monorail accident so this is our first opportunity to go on it. I talked to one of the conductors before his tour in May and he really got me excited again on seeing the trains.

Found the perfect T-shirts for everyone and on Sale:goodvibes. DH was even excited. Everyone gets their fav char and the family name in matching colors:woohoo: No one will gripe, even DS 16

I have had some pretty yummy items from the french bakery too! :lovestruc I don't remember what the last thing was that I had there, but it had strawberries in it!

I can foresee lots of trips over there since it is just a short walk from the BWI!

Question of the Day. . . . .

How early do you start to pack for your Disney trip?

I usually get my suitcases out about 1 1/2 to 2 months prior and start throwing things in them!! :hyper:

Mornin' ladies!
Well...I too usually start about 1 month out....I try to make sure we have stuff accumulated before that tho.....Like when we are nearing the end of a shampoo, or toothpaste, or a can of hair spray-these go in a small rubbermaid I have marked travel. then if we go anywhere these go and you can just chunck it when you are through. So...I start boxing this stuff up, seeing what we need to buy out of the travel aisle at Wal Mart or Target and also small snax. All of this stuff I ship to our resort on the Monday before we leave. The trips that we do as a surprise are harder because I have to hide all this stuff and go ship it without them knowing it!!;)
Long answer to a simple question, right?! But for clothes, the week of! We are wearing what we will bring!! It's hot here too, so it's usually the same shorts and stuff...bathing suits too!

Yeah, we don't have that problem here when we travel in the off season. Usually by October all the summer clothes are packed away in their bins in the basement for the winter. So that was convenient last year - when I was putting the summer clothes away for winter I just threw what we wanted to wear to Disney in the suitcases!

See -- November is the perfect time for us to go!!::yes:: :goodvibes

I normally start about 2 months before but this year is a lil different since I started buying things in May, I took out the suitcase and started putting things into it.............but the jokes on me ............Yesterday I ordered a new suitcase so I will be having to start all over once it arrives ...........I have been looking at new suitcases since we booked the trip since my old one is on its last leg literally, it lost one of the legs for when it sits upright on my trip to DL then last year part of the supports inside broke , I guess from being tossed around by the airport workers

What kind of suitcase did you get? I really want a new one for me...I have a set that I got at walmart 13 years ago!! It really has held up well, considering the airport stuff...but it doesn't really have any neat little compartments inside or anything...and I am soooo tired of looking at the pattern on it!:lmao:

Those airport workers sure are rough on luggage! SW broke my handle off and ripped the back out of the suitcase. :sad2:

I always cringe when I am looking out the window at the airport and watching them heaving luggage onto the plain. :scared1:

We are usually packed a month or so out, except for out bathroom stuff. Even some of that will be packed a month out. We usually buy new clothes for our trip. Since we usually go in June, and we are buying summer stuff then, it works out for us. This year I am not sure what I am going to do or when I am going to start packing. I will probably buy some new summer clothes are the end of the summer and guess at the size the girls will be by Nov. My 10 year old goes threw crazy growth spurts, so it will be hard to have her anything for warm weather. And for cool weather, I guess they will just take some of their school clothes. Not sure. We were just discussing that. Because I am not going to go buy them new winter clothes so close to Christmas. I am a bit OCD, so it is a bit of a issue to me that I have no plan at the moment! lol

I know!!I really like the Vera Bradley rolling suitcase..and the Brighton stuff is georgous...but who wants to pay for such nice stuff if they are going to tear it up!? And you know they are not gonna pay for it!

My oldest just did that...and shoes!!! Man..that will be closer to Nov for sure...the little Disney t's I just bought dd are a bit big now...not a lot, just roomy, so she will be fine...it's the boys I worry about!!!!

SW's response was -- that they don't pay for broken handles. :confused3 And that I didn't report the suitcase being damaged/ripped out soon enough. Which I guess was my fault that I waited until we got home to report it, but it was very late when we got back to PIT because of all of their delays and we just wanted to get home!

So yes, it's very hard for me to spend the money on nice/expensive luggage!
