Hello fellow November travelers

Sorry I haven't been around much this week. My substitute job that was to be 1-2 days a week has turned into 4-5 days a week lately!! :faint: But hey, it's more money for Disney, right??! :yay:

Hopefully I am keeping up with the list here. . . . Just let me know if I have missed anyone!

10 days until ADR's!!! :cool1:

Just called and bought my tickets for the MVMCP :santa: I went with the first night November 8, since it is the day we arrive it will be a good start to a fantastic vacation I think :goodvibes.

Awesome!! :goodvibes

Well...I am at 28 weeks away!!! Actually it's tomorrow..but I may not get on here tomorrow!! That seems soooo far away! But, I only have 2 1/2 weeks until my ADR day!! May is a busy month, so it will fly by! My hubby's bday is next Monday (3rd), then the 9th is Mother's Day, the 10th is my ds10's birthday...plus, my dd has ballet recital on the 22nd, with weekend practices and dress rehearsal. Then on the 17th is my ADR morning!!! Woo Hoo! We have not got any plans for June,,my oldest one's youth group has church camp, but I think he is skipping it this summer...then my middle one has camp mid-July...which we will be nearby! It's out by San Antonio, hubby is driving the bus to & fro, so we are staying in SA and making a little looooong weekend out of it! July and August draaaaggg here..Sept does too..it's just so hot it is misery!!! So, after he gets back from church camp, we will be starting back to school. We usually have our first 8or 9 weeks in by the time our local school starts!!!;) So...do any of you have big summer plans, or are you just staying local and saving for Disney?

Wow you are busy busy!! We have a lot going on from now until the end of the school year, but then things will slow down for summer. . . I think we have decided to not take a summer trip and just save the money for Disney. We will probably do some day trips, but nothing major.

:rotfl2: I know! Even thinking of AK in the summer makes me want to turn my fan on.

i have noticed even in Jan that AK is the hottest park!!! I guess it's because it's all so close....don't know how people can do it in the summer!!! If my kids didn't like the dino part and the oldest wanting to do EE, we would skip it every time!! We did manage to skip it for quite a while! We are never there for more than a couple of hours...eat lunch and leave! I think it'll be our morning park for the afternoon we do HDDR.....
Shelly are you going to try to do Le Cellier again or forget it? I know we are skipping Biergarten, and maybe Nine Dragons...we do ND every trip...me and dh love it, but the kids are soooo sick of it! I like Le Cellier, but since we are right over at BC, I might try for the Yachtsmen Steakhouse. Any of you been there?Probably be a lot easier to get into than LC anyway! I am also wanting to skip Cindy's castle..dh loves it in there...hmmmm....what to do?! Def gonna try for the Cape May breakfast on check-out day!

I am at 10 days too! I am so excited! Going to make ADR's online, which I've never done before, so hopefully it will be easy. Online opens at 6am EST right?

We are planning a trip to NC to see my in-laws for a few days in July, then they are going to keep the kids while DH and I spend 3 days at the outer banks. We have never been there, but it looks really nice! It will be our 15th Anniversary trip! :lovestruc (Sorry if I've goofed up the post, I can't quite figure out multi/post/reply!)

TGIF!!

Well, I didn't have a chance to go online yet to get MVMCP yet, but I also need to talk to the rest of the family about going. We've never been before, but I hope everyone else wants to go. Ever since I started reading up about it, I SOOOO want to go! (And I am not above buying one ticket :lmao:)

This weekend I've got to firm up all the ADRs and park planning. I've been putting it off, thinking "it's only April", but my ADR date is FAST approaching!

They're predicting beautiful weather for my area this weekend, so I plan to do some yardwork and enjoy the outdoors!

I bought our MVMCP tickets today!!! :santa::santa::santa: Had to call, couldn't seem to do it online.

See you at MVMCP on November 11!

I know, I could totally skip AK. . . But DS11 wants to do dino and EE. So we will make the trip there for 2 rides. :faint: I'm sure we will do a few other things once we get there, but probably won't spend more than about 3-4 hours there.

Nope, we are not doing LC this time! That last experience there was so terrible that we just aren't interested. . . Plus we have been there the last 3 trips, so it's time to try something new. We are planning to try San Angel Inn. I know it gets mixed reviews, but I have wanted to give it a try for awhile, so we are just going to do it!

No we haven't been to the Yachtsman. It looks good though. I think we are going to try Cape May for dinner, since we are staying in that area. And we will probably end up at Big River one night. You don't need ADR's for that one, so it's nice to not have to be tied to a certain time there. Have you ever been there? We love it!

We got our November 1st MNSSHP tickets today.. wanted to him MVMCP as well but it starts the day we leave :( Oh well.. halloweens the most important one to me.. Our ADR day is monday.. SO EXCITED

Time will fly for me until the end of the school year anyways. Funny my oldest daughter has her dance recital on May 22nd also!! And my youngest turns 2 on May 15th.

Right now for me the countdown is on until June. I am currently a surrogate mom carrying a little girl for a very special couple and due June 21st. So getting towards the end of a pregnancy is taking up a lot of my attention right now!! But once the Little Miss is born and goes home with her parents I will be in full countdown mode looking forward to the trip.

End of June my daughter finishes Kindergarten and my son has his preschool screenings... then the summer will probably be pretty low key, we will basically be staying home saving for Disney. My other 2 kids will have birthdays my daughter will turn 6 in August and my son 4 in September. I think October will be the looooooooooongest month of the year!!

What is with everyone's aversion to AK? I have actually never been there, but we have planned 2 whole days there this trip because out of EP, HS, and AK we thought it appealed most to kids our ages for a second day (doing 2 days at MK too of course).... do you all think 2 days there is too much????? (Keep in mind my kids spend FIVE DAYS STRAIGHT at Sea World last year and never got bored watching the shows and walking through animal exhibits MULTIPLE times!)

AK is our least favorite park. I honestly think part of that is b/c it is UNBELIEVABLY HOT there. On our past two trips, we got there early & left by noon. If it weren't for EE, I don't think we'd go. BUT----I'm very interested in going in November! You definitely need to give it a try. Nemo is wonderful & FOTLK is something to see. My kids love digging for dinosaur bones. :thumbsup2

The first couple of times we went to AK were great as it was all new and we were excited but being all Adults now we just enjoy Epcot more. AK always seems to be more crowded than the other parks, I think because of the closeness and narrow pathways in some areas, but I do think younger children would enjoy it a lot. I know when mine were younger before there was and AK, we use to head over to the old now gone "Discovery Island" for a day.

Just noticed they have finally listed the line up for all the dates of the Eat to the Beat Concerts during the F&W Festival at Epcot, which runs this year from 10/1 thru 11/14

10/1-10/3: Taylor Dayne, "Tell It to My Heart"

For us, it's just our least favorite park. We have never spent more than about 4 hours there per trip. Usually less. Our kids just aren't into animals as much as some other kids. Then there is the fact that it is always hot and crowded there, and sometimes smelly.

We are just more Epcot/DHS people I guess.

But if your kids love to look at animals and love to sit through the shows, they will probably love AK! :thumbsup2

Awesome ~ Thanks for sharing! :cool1:

yay for May!!!!! Have always looooved May, and with my dh and ds10 having bdays makes it even better!!
Jen, AK just doesn't grab us...yeah, there are some neat things, and we could make it last a full day---if I let my kids dig in the dino area for 3 hours!! Which they would do!! It is a really good little play area...it's shaded!! But, to me the whole park is hard to navigate, and I just would rather skip the whole thing...in fact, one year dh and ds14 went over to ride EE while me and the younger two went to MK for character meet and greet.
And wow about you being a surrogate! That is so interesting!!! If I didn't have to have CSections, I wonder if I would do it? I have always had allergy problems since I was a kid, but each pregnancy seems to have diminished my problems with it...I noticed by child #2, they were unbelievably better than before my oldest was born...I always tell hubby we need one more to totally cure me!!LOL...That would be an awesome gift to give someone...

Thank you.... it has been something I have wanted to do since my first DD was born but I knew I wanted to complete my family first just "in case" anything were to happen to my own fertility in the process. So once my youngest was born and I felt "done" I finally went forward. Being someone who tended to get pregnant everytime my husband BREATHED on me it was definitely an eye opening and heart wrenching look into the world of infertility. Due to poor embryo quality it took us 5 rounds of IVF including 2 early miscarriages to finally conceive this little miracle for them :) I am just now finally starting to relax a bit at 33 weeks knowing that even if she were born now she would probably be fine.... it was most definitely the most nerve wracking pregnancy for me. Knowing how much time energy money and hope the parents had invested in me.

:) :)

Wow, that is an amazing thing you are doing.

I am new to this thread and actually this whole site! It is fun to browse and is keeping me up at nights learning all the new things and trying to get all the abbreviations straight! We will be visiting Disney November 3-10 and are so excited! Booked MVMCP for November 8 and were soooo excited we won't miss it. We saw it two years ago by accident (way before we knew how much planning Disney actually takes) and loved it, but our kids don't remember it well so hopefully this time around they'll be old enough to not only enjoy it for the night, but remember it!!!
Can't wait to plan with you all!

AWESOME!!! I've never had a chance to go to this before and the fact that Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is playing on my birthday (our Epcot day)... I foresee an AMAZING 28th Birthday for me! :woohoo:

This may be the 3rd Best Disney trip ever now! (only 3rd to my first WDW vaca and the last trip to WDW I got to take with my mom in 2008)
