DH had a torn meniscus. He had surgery on it in March and was kicking butt around Disney by June! It is a really quick recovery. Well, atleast for a leg surgery it is. By 8 weeks, your back to normal! He was walking the same day he had it. Only took the heavy meds on the first 2 days. He said that a dry socket from having a tooth pulled was more painful. He was "stiff" for about 4 weeks. But as soon as he started PT, he started to notice the difference. Hope that gives you some comfort! You should be good by November. But make sure to push for PT after. It made all the difference in the flexibility.
I wish mine was something like that. But no, mine is because the idiots who built our house put a vent in front of the toilet. Not sure why you need a vent literally right in front of the potty. Maybe they thought it would prevent a cold bum? I dunno? But they didn't put support around it. So the area around it has always been weak. DH kept saying he would crawl under and fix it, but never did. We just got in the habit of not stepping on it. Well, the other night around midnight I walk in there half asleep and boom! My foot went threw the vent with the rest of my leg following. Yeah, it was nice. I didn't break my leg or anything. Just really messed it up. But I put one heck of a beating on the vent and duct work! LOL DH said he just wished he had a camera so he could have seen my face. I wish we did too! I could be a million dollar winner on Americas Funniest Videos, I am sure.
