Trackey~ Well that is wonderful that you are so close!! I love the ddp!!! It's my best friend on these trips--I am so unstressed because it is paid already and it gives us more options than I would pay for out of pocket...I don't mind paying extra for soup or whatever, and the kids would rather get the dessert...we don't do that very often when we eat out,so they love it!! I pack granola bars for breakfast, then just some small snax and that's it!!

Snacks and such are a must!! The last few trips of course I have packed a lil more food than that to keep down on costs. I am excited this time to not have to worry as much with that. I am sure I will still bring at least one or two meals, just because we all get tired of eating out. And the cabins are so perfect for just plugging in the crockpot and coming back to a ready to go meal. If the cabins didn't have the dish washer I may rethink that, but it is so easy to cook and clean up this way it doesn't feel much like work. :goodvibes

QOTD: What's your favorite place to eat at WDW??!!! :goodvibes

For me that all depends on what meal of the day if it's for breakfast it use to be the non-charactor breakfast at the YC , I forget it's name and I believe they changed it now anyhow, but now it is Boma's after my last visit to AKL a few years ago.
If it is for lunch or dinner I would say Biergarten in WS, went there last year for the 1st time and loved it! :lovestruc

QOTD: What's your favorite place to eat at WDW??!!! :goodvibes

Gosh, another hard one! Hummmm....???? I really can't pick just one. Ohana Breakfast has become a family tradition. I can't say it is our favorite meal tho. I loved Le Cellier for the Cheddar Cheese Soup and Pretzel Bread. But again, probably not my favorite. I think the "meal" and I use the term loosely, is a mixture that we have always done on our first night in MK while watching Spectro and waiting on Wishes. Corn Dog Nuggets from Caseys Corner, a couple Dole Whip Floats from Aloha Isle and for dessert a Cinnamon Roll from Main Street Bakery! That is truely heaven right there!

It went better than I thought. I was able to get everything within 5min to 1/2hr of the times I wanted. It may have been easier since I wanted earlier dinner times. We are used to eating early because of DS. Figured I better keep the same schedule for WDW even though its about 6 months away...wait, wait 5 months, three weeks and 5 days :woohoo:. Here is the list that reflects several months of blood, sweat and tears: :rotfl2:

11/21 Whispiring Canyon 4:30p Arrival/Epcot WS Day
11/22 Le Cellier 4:35p Epcot Day
11/23 O'hana 4:55p AK Day
11/24 O'hana 10:30a Break Day (Wasnt jumpin' out of my seat for this one, but DD REALLY likes Stitch)
11/25 Whispiring Canyon 4:30p HS Day (Hopefully not too early for the 'show,' but wanted to have a relaxing afternoon at the resort and head back to HS after dinner)
11/26 Crystal Palace 8:05a MK Day (Really hoping Im not going to regret the mad dash through breakfast for rope drop)
11/27  Departure Morning

Thanks to all of your on the boards. Couldn't have done it without 'cha.:thumbsup2

Hello again my WV friend! ;) Looks like we will be spending Thanksgiving together at Whispering Canyon! *Gobble Gobble*

agreed..very sad..I cried like a baby after Harry Potter was done too...I can't wait to go to universal this trip to see the Wizarding world of Harry Potter.:thumbsup2

Sorry, never really got into Lost, but just had to agree with you and TinkerKell-ey on the Harry Potter books being over. I am hoping we can work in a day at Universal so we can check out the new Harry Potter area. Hubby and my three youngest wouldn't have as much interest as me and my oldest, but I don't see them getting to bored, hehe.:thumbsup2

QOTD: What's your favorite place to eat at WDW??!!! :goodvibes

Wow that's a toughy, there is so much to choose from. If I have to pick one for me personally it is the pastry shop in France! ;) I just love baked goods and that place is my weakness. For the kids I think it is Crystal Palace and for hubby I would have to say the 50's Prime Time Cafe.

GF is my dream resort but I do understand your feeling the need to change, one reason we have yet to stay there is I feel a bit intimidated by the resort :rotfl: , the other reason being the price since when and if I do stay there I want to be in the main building theme park view.

You will love YC it is one of my favorites and you can not beat it's location, :thumbsup2 now you have me thinking about wanting to stay there again :rotfl2:

Oh yeah, we weren't getting the Main Building! I priced it and thought I was going to have to do the heimlich maneuver on DH when I told him the price, even with the discount!!! LOL I reminded him he once told me once you hit $5000 that anything more then that really didn't matter.

I am so glad so many people seem to love the YC. It makes the decision so much better. It just really seems perfect for us. Clean lines, not frilly or girlie. Elegant yet relaxing.... Ahhhh *sigh* Can you tell I am thrilled with my choice? :cloud9:

My dream resort has been and probably always will be the Contemporary. I just remember going to Disney as a young girl and thinking "Wow, I'm gonna stay here one day!" I haven't stayed there yet, mainly due to taking a family of six there is way more than I can afford. Like you if I am dishing out that kind of money I want the room I want, with the view I want and until I can afford it, it will have to wait til I can do it right. ;)

The Contemporary is my favorite resort. Hands down. But no one else in my family like it. They like the rooms, but that is it. DH thinks that its way to busy. And I am not talking about themeing, I am talking about how crowded and loud it always seems to be. He has never stayed there, so I try to argue that he can't make a clear decision until he stays there, but then he gets the kids on his side and it goes out the window everytime! Maybe one day I will get to stay there again. Even if its a solo trip! ;)

I am lucky in that we all want to stay there. Of course my lil ones have been hearing since they were very very young how Mommy wants to stay there, so that could be influencing them, hehe.

Good Morning!!:goodvibes Yippee to all the ladies who were up and getting what they wanted on the ressie line this morning!!
I am about to go get a haircut and take my vehicle in for some work...mercy it's hot here!! We are already in the 90s and no cloud coverage.....geez.. How long is summer?

The Contemporary is #2 on my list but DH also does not care for it after going there to eat a few times, he also thinks it is too busy and nosey, He did suggest BLT for our current trip if we could not get our discount at AKV but we did so no BLT this year :)

I know it is way too early to be this hot already, I heard the weather man say it would be in the 80's and put the A/C on before the house became hot :upsidedow

I'm so glad it went well and you got everything you wanted!

It's hot here too Shawna! Mid 80's today and probably the rest of the week. I'll take it though. Just a few weeks ago we were freezing at DS's soccer games!!

I just happened to notice there are changes on the November Calendars for DHS and DAK for the week I am going to be there (11/8-11/13) not sure about the other weeks and did not notice any changes for my week for MK or EP , Yet .........

The posted changes for DAK and DHS were for the EMH (N)
Looks like it is back to the drawing board for me as the change in DAK hours affects my weeks schedule

I know there's probably going to be lots of changes before it's over with.

We really wanted to like the GF. As I said above, we do love it there. But we just don't want to stay there. We gave it a good 3 months before we switched. It just wasn't right for us. And I am a firm believer, when something is right, you feel it. The Yacht Club feels right. And it actually felt right to everyone of us. Which is a very rare in this household! lol

:)

Px4 - you will love the YC!! We stayed CL at the GF once, and honestly, i didn't care a whole lot for the resort - Don't get me wrong, it's very pretty (more so to me on the outside) and i did like the pool/hot tub -- but the inside "vibe" just wasn't us. And the food that they served CL was - "eh". Not my taste.. But, i can say we did it. ;) I however LOVE the BC/YC! :cutie: So, congrats on the switch.. you can't beat SAB for a pool either! And Beaches n Cream = YUMMMMMMM :cloud9:

This is the first time in years that I actually made my plans without really considering the park hours. We are not seeing FANTASMIC! this year. So, that wasn't a issue. The only EMH hours we are interested in is the evening of the 21st at MK. And we didn't want morning EMH on the 27 at MK. Otherwise, it doesn't effect us. And even if they did change those, it still really wouldn't make a difference. We just like late hours at MK. And were hoping to get a early viewing of MK before the park opens! :)

Now what did effect us?..... Changing resorts. DH is not aware of this yet. But I am going to change our Yachtmans to our arrival day around 9pm, Narcoossees to Sun around 5 and in place of Yacthmans, I am going to add Jiko. And do away with Grand Floridian Cafe. That is, if I can get the ok from DD1, since GFC was her dining choice. Oh and I already changed 1900 Park Fare to Friday at 8am and canceled Chef Mickeys. Then I booked Cape May for Thursday morning at 8am! We haven't done Cape May before!

So, that gives us a good mix of repeats (6) and newbies (7)! Really Really Really hoping DD1 agrees, because I really want to try Jiko!

Well, i booked all our ADR's yesterday - with no glitches!! Gotta love that!! :)

We are doing the HDDR for Thanksgiving - it's our "traditional" TG meal.. ;)
Also, booked :
Ohana's for breakfast (dd LOVES this!)
Sci-Fi (again, a fav of dd)
Cape May buffet for dinner (DH's fav)
Chef Mickey's
Whispering Canyon Cafe --- never been here - i have it booked for breakfast & dinner, will keep one and cancel one -- any opinions??

And i am sure the day we do Epcot early,we will hit Beaches and Cream for lunch... YUM!
