Hmm. . . I don't think I heard about the DIS Boards from anyone. . . I was just online researching everything I could before our second trip (May 2007) and happened to come across it some how. I read for awhile before posting, and then found a May 2007 planning thread and decided to post. Have been posting away ever since!!! :goodvibes

Darn it! SouthWest just pushed out their dates again :sad1:

According to the Travel Tips page: "We are currently accepting air reservations through November 5, 2010. On June 15, we will open our schedule for sale through January 7, 2011. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently."

They were supposed to open up sales past Nov. 5th on June 9th, then it was the 10th and now its the 15th! Bummer!

I too, just kind of stumbled onto it..I don't think anyone ever mentioned to me..I love it! Good question!

How did you hear about the DISboards?.

My mom was talking about a salad she got on Main Street years ago. But couldn't remember the name of the place she got it at. I tried google-ing it and guess what I found? The food porn threads! :thumbsup2

Still never figured out where she got the salad from tho! lol

I have never been during November before but from what I have read and from past expierence from visits in Jan,April,October(all of which had varied fluctuating temperatures) I will be packing shorts, jeans, and at least one sweat outfit and a light jacket. I remember one year I had to buy sweat type jackets for all of us (4) since silly me did not pack any jackets thinking it was April(Easter) and would be hot like our previous visit ....encountered a couple very chilly mornings and evenings :upsidedow

Thanks for the tips. We've always been down there in May, 85-95 temps, and never used the light-weight jackets I packed.

We were there last November (7th-15th) and the weather was fantastic. Probably the best we've ever experienced down there. We were there once in October and it was blazing hot, 2X in May and the one time was hot and the other time was miserably hot, and once in January and the temps really fluctuated then -- some days a high of 50 and some around 80. But anyway, to answer your question - November was a very comfortable 78-82 everyday, with the exception of one day when it was about 65. Perfect!! :goodvibes We were able to swim, yet didn't have to sweat our behinds off either!!We did experience some crazy winds a few days, because of Tropical Storm Ida, but luckily the storm missed the Orlando area. We had one evening of rain, it started around 7:30 and rained into the night and was done before morning.

November crowds (mid November) are pretty comparable to mid May crowds. Maybe a little less. Very light!

Hmm, 78-82 every day. I'll take that. Glad to hear it was warm enough to swim, but I counted on sweating a few extra Disney pounds off in all the heat. :lmao:

I also just sorta stumbled on the Dis Boards , I was googleing POR back in Jaunary after watching the vacation DVD and thinking maybe we would try it out since we had never been to it only to POFQ back in the day when POR was Dixie Landings and I have been here every day since :rotfl2:

I didn't see a QOTD so I'm posting one . . . . .

How did you hear about the DISboards?

Like a few others, I just kind of stumbled upon the boards a couple of years ago. Only got addicted though in the last year :lmao:

Oh and thanks to reading about Le Cellier from everyone on here, I have now added that to our reservation list. :thumbsup2 (Didn't get the ideal time for us, but from what I went through just to get a reservation where they wouldn't put us at seperate tables {there are six of us} I can deal with it.)

How did you hear about the DISboards?
I found out from another parent at my daughter's basketball game. I was telling the person next to me about our upcoming Disney cruise and Christine overheard the conversation and asked if I had heard about the DISboards. She then apologized in advance, because she had become addicted and hoped I didn't get that way :rotfl2: That was in February 2009 and I think I was on the boards daily right up until our cruise that April.

My TA told me about them a long time ago. I didn't get very involved with them, though, until we went on our first cruise. It's *essential* when cruising. Gotta have that FE list and fun meet ups! We met some of our best friends on our last cruise and still chat with the cruisers twice a week. :)

Brenle~ :welcome: we were there in 2003 before Tday..it was definitely shorts and tees weather..light jackets in the parks at night..that wind always blows and when the sun goes down, you feel it! Not cold...just reaaally breezy!
Momof2Disneyboys was there 2weeks before Tday last year and she said it was warm all that week too---both of us had 70-80 degree days...pools for sure. Have heard that cool fronts are always possible..just keep checking weather reports!

The last few times we were down there, it was cold and rainy (60s and drizzle). We loved it because no one wanted to stay in the park in that weather. We just trudged right on through it and had a blast!

Soooooo .... does no one know if the doors at the Poly are metal? I want to put magnets on them, but need to know if it's even possible.

Yeah, I'm used to cruising.

Just came up from the mailbox and my MVMCP tickets are here! It makes it feel a little more real. ADR's will too, but I still have 10 days before I can make mine.
My hubbies b-day is today, so I've been cooking, baking, wrapping.

Hello fellow November trippers!!! I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself, I'm Allegra and I'm planning a surprise birthday trip to WDW for my husband. We're booked for 3 nights at the GF RPC in a King Deluxe room! I was able to get 40% off with a PIN I got! As of now, I have planned for us to arrive on Thursday 11/18, which is his birthday. We'll hang out in the hotel, then head over to MK for MVMCP! We will hopefully be able to dine at CRT for his special dinner. He loves MVMCP and always wanted to eat in the Castle one time. The next day we'll lounge around the resort until it's time for our second night of MVMCP! We love it! Still no plans for Saturday 11/20. Thanks for letting me share!!

Oh and I stumbled upon the DIS while googling Disneyworld stuff back in 2005! I used to post under a different name. Loves me some DIS!! :yay::yay:

Allegra!! :welcome: I was not going to do the MVMCP..but the kids mentioned it (they don't know for sure when we are going...just that it's between Oct and Jan!!)...said if it was available this time they really want to do it again...haven't been in a few years....it's offered on Tue the16 and Thurs 18...I was leaning toward the 18th when I read your post. I just wondered if you picked the 18th just because or if you thought the Tues night would be more crowded? also, I went twice...first time, early Dec it was great...second time..early Dec..freezing and raining! Hopefully Nov will eliminate that and it won't matter..but should I wait and buy tickets when I can at least watch the 10 day forecast?

Sorry, haven't stayed there yet so I don't know. . . maybe someone else knows. . .

Shell,

I just found our door magnets a few nights ago! Brings back fun memories of all the times I passed thru that door last April. :cloud9:

I have never stayed at the Poly, though, so I think a call to the resort would be your best bet. Good luck!

ntheory...we stayed there in Jan of 09 ....can't say I remember taking note of the doors being magnetic....sorry! Call and ask the manager...they should know....I don't remember seeing anything on any doors tho'..

Ok. That's cool. I need to email the IPO, anyway. I will ask them. I think I'm going to check on the Osborne Lights, as well. I will post here when I hear back from them. :) :)

Ntheory... I forgot..are you doing the Christmas party? Just curious...i need to go back thru the thread and see who is going from our little group!!! I am torn on the tues and Thurs!!!!!! I am still iffy...but I think the kids are really wanting to do a late parade kinda night!!! If I do the MVMCP, I am probably gonna skip Spectro/Wishes....hmmmmm lots of choices....what to do?!!!

We are going too! I just booked it a few days ago. Nov 24th-Dec 1st staying at the CBR
