We have a couple names for Noah. We started with Little Man but he's recently moved onto Mr Man. My sister calls him squirmy since he never stops moving. I have to be real careful not to call him munchkin since thats what I've always called my little sister and she asked when we found out I was pregnant if she was going to loose her nickname. DH and I of course said no way so now I have to make sure I don't use it on him but sometimes it just comes out.

congrats Tasha ... Welcome Cohen!!

Name: Alexander Stephen

Age: 14 months and 1 day

Weight: 30lbs give or take a few ounces

Height: 34-35inches

Clothes: 24 months/2T and some 3T

Favorite food: chicken nuggets and any kind of potato

Favorite toy: Mommies Cell Phone

Bethany - what a great pic!!! Love it!! :goodvibes

Tasha+Scott - WELCOME!! :yay: I love the name Cohen!

QUESTION OF THE DAY What nicknames (real or "silly") do you have for your son/daughter?

Nicknames for Brady include.... Brady-boy, Bubby, Bub, Bubby-face (and I wonder why his favorite thing to say is "ba ba ba ba"!! :rotfl2: )

Favorite Pastime: my girl LOVES to dance!!! :dance3:

Oh my gosh, Alex LOVES dancing! He is a little dancing fool! :dancer: He mostly bounces up and down and spins in circles. My mom bought him the Imagination Movers cd, from the Disney Channel and he can't get enough of it! Sometimes he even tries to sing along! He also loves the free credit commercial with the guy dressed as a pirate! :pirate: :lmao:

QUESTION OF THE DAY What nicknames (real or "silly") do you have for your son/daughter?

I love reading everyone's baby nicknames; they are all so cute! :thumbsup2

Alex's first nickname was Tamalito, b/c DH thought he looked like a little tamale wrapped up in his hospital blankets! :goodvibes That has since evolved to Tamalero, not really sure why. We also call him trouble, goober, goomba, little monster & exorcist baby b/c he likes to "talk" in a growly voice sometimes, destructo b/c he likes destroying things, and stinky - I think you all know when & why ;) And he calls himself Alli or Tado which I think is him trying to say Tamalero.

Sam- Sammy, Sammy Bananas, biggie, wild thing, bubba

Zoe- Zo Zo, Zoe Zoe Aligator, little, twirl girl

This is soo fun!

My nickname for Brady is...
Captain Stinky Pants.

This all came about while he had chicken pox a couple of months ago. While he had it, he was pooping galore!! Not sure if the fever did something or that he was having so much yogurt cuz he didn't want to eat.

Well, after 4 poops in less than an hour..he became Captain Stinky Pants. I still call him that now.

Tyler (my 6 year old) was Squiggly Bum. From when he was first born, he always squirmed while changing his diaper.

I'm a day behind, so here goes :)

Name: Christopher Thomas

Age: 14 months tomorrow

Weight: 28lbs

Height: 33"

Clothes: 2T, and quickly headed for 3T

Favorite food: Watermelon, peas, turkey

Favorite toy: Anything yellow. And the dog.

And to catch up for todays... He has a bunch of nicknames: Boo (the first thing he said), Mistofer Christopher, goomba, and DH's favorite - Barky von Schnauzer (there was this wierd dog commercial, and Christopher would tun around every time the guy said that)

Well, we've had an interesting 24 hours or so. Yesterday, Colin was cruising along the couch and fell and hurt *something* in his right leg...so, off we went to Emerg. 5 hours, 2 xrays and 10 minutes with the doctor later and all we know is that he's done something, but it's not broken. He's crawling more today, but wouldn't last night. He's still not really putting a lot of weight on it when he stands, and he seems to be avoiding standing. I think we're going to visit our family doc tomorrow and see if she can shed some light onto the subject. I feel so bad -- he cries if it moves the wrong way and is generally not a happy camper.

And, for today's QOTD:

Colin often gets called: Stinky, Mr. Man, Little One, Monkey, Little Monkey, Colin Michael if he's doing something he's not supposed to or Colleen (my husband's nonna is Italian, and sometimes when she says Colin, it sounds like Colleen. Well, if he's being particularly screechy and whiny, we call him "Colleen" :rotfl: ) He was "Squishy" before he was born, since we didn't know if it would be a boy or a girl, and it was funny -- from Finding Nemo, with the jellyfishes... "I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy. Come on, Squishy Come on, little Squishy."

And, in other news, my little boy will be a year old 2 weeks today! I'm not ready for this!! :(

O he likes to "talk" in a growly voice sometimes, destructo b/c he likes destroying things

Oh, weird- Vaylie does that too- she growly-talks. It's hysterical.

And, even weirder, we call Vaylie "Destructor" or "Baby Destructor" when she's being crazy. Which is a lot.

We call her all kinds of things, usually not her name- my favorite (which I forgot to add before) is Crunchy Munchy. It evolved... I started calling her Munchkin. Then it was Munchykins. Then it was Munchy, then Crunchy Munchy.

She is also V, Princess, Cuddlebug, Moo, Sugarbutt, Sunshine, Miss V, Goose, and about a zillion others.

from Finding Nemo, with the jellyfishes... "I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy. Come on, Squishy Come on, little Squishy."

That is adorable!!! :rotfl2:

And I hope Colin's leg gets better, poor little guy.

i have some catching up to do- IT took my laptop over the weekend for updates at work, so i couldn't get on.

so first question i missed- new milestones:
crawling!!! he's been army crawling for about 2 weeks, but now he is real crawling too, although he reverts to the army when tired.

next question- bedtime routine:
pick up at day care/montessorri at 5:30-6pm usually

6pm- dinner- baby food/cereal

6:15- give him juice in sippy or wagonwheels to occupy him while i cook dinner, do dishes etc.

6:45- head to living room for playtime- let him jump in the jumperoo which he loves or just play on the floor with him and all his toys

7:15pm- daddy gets home and plays too!

7:15-7:45- gets his last bottle of the night- just depends on when he is hungry for it- but no later than 7:45 usually.

8pm- bath every other night- jammies, story and cuddle time, rock him and pat his back

8:30pm- put in his crib, turn on the music for him and last few nights he has cried it out- but is usually out in 5-15 minutes. tonight it was only 5. he doesn't take a binkie, never has (just doesn't care for it)- he sleeps on his
tummy too.

next question- STATS:
he turns 8 months this weekend, so i just have 6 month stats, since we don't have an appt until 9 months again.

NAME: William (Will) Reed Peters
WEIGHT- 6 months-22lbs
HEIGHT- 6 months- 28.5 inches tall
CLOTHES- 12 months
FAV FOOD- anything with bananas and any fruits- also peas!
FAV TOY- big piano he can play or kick and lately he is into rugs- he just loves looking under them and touching them and anything he can put in his mouth!

NICKNAMES- Monkey, Monkey man, and daddy calls him 'daddy's boy'.......also pirate (he used to close one eye when he was a baby! and his room is done in Peter pan/pirates!)
He is like 90th-97th percentile on everything almost everytime- especially head size. his head is bigger than my 2yo nephews. 48cm at 6mos.

hope Colin is okay and his leg is better.

Denise- i can't believe Mo is already trying to stand in his crib. We've had Will's on the lowest setting for a while now and so he can't really reach high enough to pull himself up yet, since the crib is so tall now.

Bethany- what an adorable pic of you two boys! :goodvibes

do you girls mind if i link your blogs to mine- those that posted? it makes it easier for me to read yours and keep up on it! :thumbsup2

so Will had his first pool experience this weekend. We head to the beach in 2 weeks, so I wanted to get him ready. He loved it! We went to a community pool that has the zero depth entry and kids stuff. we sat and splashed and he just had a ball and didn't care if water got in his face. he even sat on the fountain gushing up and let it get all over his face. So hopefully he will have a blast at hte beach too. we hope to go back this weekend for more sun/pool time. He really loves being outside. I might need to invest in a cheap baby pool for the back yard! here's a few recent pics.

Looks like he had a great time! Christopher loves going down to the beach. I usually sit right at the edge with him, and he tries to get away and go deeper. He has no fear of putting his face in the water, and laughs like crazy if he gets a mouthful :confused3

Ummm....Mo rolled right off the bed this morning! :faint: :scared1:  He landed on his hands and knees cried for all of a couple of minutes and then was laughing at mommy! :hyper: One of the stuff animals was on the side where he fell and I think that helped. :cutie: I was getting dressed sitting on the other side of the bed and when I turned to check on him, he was rolling off! YIKES! He's a resilient little boy...DEFINITELY takes after daddy! ::yes::

Oh, man- don't you just feel like you could have a heart attack when something like that happens? Then they look at you and laugh. Vaylie is a tough little chick too.

I have to go to the dentist today, and I really don't want to. I always gag and gag. But I have a cavity that needs to be filled and a filling that has to be redone. :worried: Blah.

Me too!!! Yuck!! I hate the dentist as well! My back right tooth is killing me....I'm so nervous that I will need a root canal, as there is already a filling there. :worried:
