The New,New Hotel Thread-Yes, We're STILL Waiting

I got a generic form letter back from them NOT addressing my concerns. I immediately responded they ignored my issue and I didn't hear back. I just emailed AGAIN.

If they're going to credit him they HAVE to credit us.

These people are seriously looking at a lawsuit. Mark my words.

OT - my dog, Kayla, has pneumonia. I've caring for her all afternoon otherwise I'd have been here, hanging with the losers. Probably won't be back on until after 7.

Who plans on hanging on until the end of the promo? I don't know if I have it in me.

I am going to try to stick with it.

I think this is more than a technical error. Technical errors happen now and then.. not consistantly.

I also pointed out nothing happened in a 24 hour period yesterday in my latest email.
 

So how many of us are trying to figure out where the camcorder is and how we can run it while entering our information on the screen?

mine is now sitting right next to me with my credit card and the room codes for DW resort hidden in their links.I am so pathetic!
 
Unfortunately they do not HAVE to do anything....it's sad but true. i spent a half hour with a CSR this morning regarding the fact that I got completely booked right down to the security code with 2 minutes to spare only for my credit card to be rejected. My credit card was not invalid....I even contacted my bank and I had no blocks on it or anything.....In fact my bank said it had never even been attepted to be charged......The LMT CSR even said a charge was not attempted....so how in the heck was it invalid??? The CSR was nice, but not authorized to do anything...."sorry" whas what i got....Oh and she said to keep trying the promo was not over....that remains to be seen....

Well, after more than a week of trying I have to give up (aka won't have access to a computer for the rest of the night or else I'd be here with you). I really want to but I just caught myself falling asleep at the computer...it is finally really catching up to me...however, I am going to give it my best.;)

Dear Sirs,

I have been following this promotion since last week and have spent more than 20 hours at some times waiting for this promotion to pop up for a $1 a night hotel stay.

This afternoon I was browsing your site and looking at other options for future bookings. Suddenly a pop-up came on and said to go to the home page as the promotion was starting. I did so and went through all of the steps. I watched the video and still had more than 2 1/2 minutes left to book. I clicked "sellect" on the hotel of my choice and it said "sorry... the promotion is done" (in so many words). I still had plenty of time!

I am quite upset and angry as I"ve spent MANY hours on your site and have gotten very excited for finally having the opportunity at your promotion then it ends in the middle of my entry?

I have been following other threads about your promotion and see this isnt' the first this has happened. Now I understand why all the talk of a class action lawsuit! I'm VERY upset and offended. This isn't a game and my time IS valuable. I feel it is worth spent on your site with a chance to win this but from what I"ve just experienced, I question the "Chance" we are actually offered!

From false emails to no standard of time zone you are sticking to (therefore last week being a few times that there were NOT 15 minutes of offers in a 24 hour period)... this sounds like QUITE a fraud!

This does not address my question. I WAS exploring the site. I was looking up your different destinations and price comparing. I was NOT hitting "refresh". I explained that in my first email. I'm assuming with the number of complaints you are receiving, this is a form letter but I do hope you answer *my* concerns.

As I stated in my original email my entry was halted and a popup said the promotion had ended when I still had 2 1/2 minutes on the clock. I had plenty of time to complete the form I was filling out.

You state we will be given NO LESS than 5 minute intervals however you timed me out LESS than 5 minutes in for NO reason.

I await your response addressing my specific concerns.

I am sending this again as I"ve not yet received a proper response. I've now heard.. and seen video proof... of this happening to others.

I also sat on the site all day yesterday looking at every square inch of the site which I feel I know by heart now and never once did the contest come up. Have you changed the rules yet again mid-contest?

I feel I DID win my stay in a 4 star or above disney resort for September 5-12, 2009, however your system booked me out with 2 1/3 minutes left on the clock saying the promotion was over.

Please respond to my concerns.

So even if it didn't go through, they go the rooms still?



Yes. They just kept calling and insisting the clock said one thing and it timed out well before the clock should have expired. For example, the clock showed 4:33 and they were timed out on the next screen, which would have been well before the 4:33 should expire.

Actually.... if you read that letter carefully, you'll see that Patrick, after that "disaster," was then able to book a room successfully at a later date. Philip mentioned they were PREPARED to credit his room... but I bet he could safely say that because he didn't HAVE to at that point because Patrick already successfully booked a room by the time of the email.

Much easier to say after the fact....."oh we would have credited it you... but now it's not necessary..."

so NO winners since this morning @ 6? I had to take a nap for work and not I got bumped back to 11 so I need to sleep a little more so I can get caught up from this lack of sleep due to all this! Call them and kindly request a supervisor and let them know that not only have you emailed, but that they have yet to address your problem. Be very, very nice. But firm.

I'm a great big chicken when it comes to phone calls :sad:
