I actually think this promotion had the opposite effect from what they were hoping. LMT wanted us to surf around their site waiting for the video, all the while familiarizing ourselves with all the site has to offer.
Not only have I found spelling mistakes (lastminutettravel?), now the site can't seem to calculate the number of nites in a weekend stay. I plugged in the dates March 6th to 9th and it keeps showing 2 nites. After literally counting on my fingers (just a little overtired?) and convincing myself I'm not crazy - it actually changed to 1 nite! What would happen if this reservation was confirmed? I'm booked from March 6th to March 9th, but sorry - only one night in an actual room?!?
I think I'm done. Right now I'm so frustrated I don't think I'll be trusting LMT with even a $3 weekend reservation.

I didn't get through at all today. I was hoping for another chance, but it didn't happen.

Also, I just spend the last 1 1/2 hours running spyware and registry cleaners and I think I got my computer back up to normal speed. I would LOVE to know where those bugs came from. Never happened before this whole LMT thing started.

For the who have won congrats. Just trying to figure something out. What are the dates of your vacation? are the dates for this coming summer or sooner? Maybe I'm trying the wrong dates and need to find some new dates.

10:23 I was driving my kids to school cuz they were 2 hours late today because of snow!!!!!! LMT knows my schedule! They don't like me! They are reading the DIS and they see my posts and they say "she just left to get her kids, quick do it now!" I came right back and looked here and didn't see that anyone had won while I was gone....who were the ones that won at 3?

IF I ever win this I wonder if I can get my husband to pay me for all the time I've invested. Like I was a travel agent getting him an awesome deal....LOL Let's see...so far I've invested about 35 hours. Should be worth at least $350??? Bet it won't work though.

I don't know why I would have to pay any taxes as income. There's no way for them to do that. They don't have my SS# and they are not going to get it either.

My confirmation says that if I cancel within 5 days of the trip I have to pay a fee of one nights rate. We will know long before then if we are going or not so I don't foresee any problems.

Found this on another LMT thread on a different board for those questioning the whole tax aspect.

Thank you for your e-mail. In regards to the taxes: The value of hotel rooms purchased during the World For A Dollar campaign may be taxable as income. Individuals are solely responsible for the payment of all federal, state and local income or excise taxes on prize. Depending on the value of the rooms, you may be required to provide a social security number for 1099/income tax filing purposes. If required, LMT will send you the appropriate documentation for tax filing. In addition, you are responsible for all travel/transportation to and from hotel, meals, beverages, phone charges, incidentals, or other expenses or costs relating to the prize not expressly set forth above. You are not responsible for hotel taxes.

What you would be responsible for would be resort fees, parking fees anything that is not hotel taxes and that the hotel is charging outside of the room price.

As far as the number of rooms you can book it is only one per sweepstakes and one per household.

Yep, from what I'm reading on that other board you need to be looking all over the website. But don't click around too fast, click like you're interested in all the other stuff - cruises, cars, deals, coupons, etc.

I even went so far as to pretend book a fabulous cruise! It was fun to dream. Not so fun not being a winner though.

Okay, after a really frustrating monday and tuesday, I stayed off LMT today. Yesterday though, I kept two windows open - one on ebay or the DIS and another that I'd open and close periodically on LMT.
Twice after leaving the LMT window open but while I was playing on ebay my computer blocked attempts to download unknown files to my computer. I didn't click okay b/c I've never had that type of thing happen from ebay before and I wasn't actually active on the LMT travel when it popped up. It wasn't a pop-up blocker type of thing - it said "file download". Anybody ever seen anything like that?

Could it have been the LMT video and I didn't open it? I thought the video opened automatically on the LMT page without prompting?
