I bet if you research expedia priceline etc. you will find bad stuff about those too. It is the nature of business these days.

I think a couple people have already used their free room and had no problems. (on some other boards)

It is a little more than simply bad reviews or something like that. Their BBB rating is an F. They are apparently giving away over 1,000 free trip - that's a minimum of at least $1,000,000. Given the current financial crisis, it seems a bit shady that these people would have $1M DI just sitting around to fund these trips. And those are conservative numbers bassed on last week's booking @ approx $1K/booking. Not to mention the tax liability. Who knows what they are going to "value" these as. The 1099's that go out for next year regarding this just might be outrageous.

The saying "it's too good to be true" exists for a reason.

Why is it that hundreds (possibly more) people are getting to the CC screen, entering the info and suddenly out of time? That's a huge red flag right there. Smells exactly like a scam.

Believe me, I truly hope all of this works out for everyone who was able to book these. I also hope the CC info isn't an issue and is merely a coincidence. I've been tempted - who wouldn't be dreaming about a free vacation. There are just too many unknowns for me to jump on my temptation

It is a little more than simply bad reviews or something like that. Their BBB rating is an F. They are apparently giving away over 1,000 free trip - that's a minimum of at least $1,000,000. just wondering... I see that someone did some research and found some nasty info about LMT but no one seems to be paying any attention to this. has anyone here ever booked through LMT before now? Did you have a good experience?

I have a friend (not an online friend) who did last year and had a great time. Again, look up Disney's various travel entities on the BBB for comparison. Cruise Line, I'm lokking at you.

Also, look up online ratings for hotels you know and read the reviews. Everyone's got a different opinion based on that person's perception.

The hotel price isn't what you think it is. Hotels make deals with booking agents (LMT) so I highly doubt they are paying full price for the rooms. They may even be giving them away, too. Notice that when the sale is on, a lot of the rooms previously available are now not?

Quoting myself as I left off one point.

We gamble in Vegas and elsewhere and we pay taxes on our winnings over $1199. If we have to pay tax on this room or not, we're not worried. It is better than paying full price. We also have a tax guy who is a Poker Player and kicked my booty in a tournament once. Talk about earning my trust with him doing our figures. Trust me, I'm not worried about the taxes being based on an inflated room rate. I have a print-out that shows my room at $126 a night for my dates.
