The New,New Hotel Thread-Yes, We're STILL Waiting

I've seen the video twice and still no free room The time runs out before I find a room. I had like 3 minutes and the room I wanted wasn't there so I went and did a search for my second hotel and the stupid video stated again all that was left was townhouses and thats not what I wanted so I kinda sat there like WTH with seconds to spare. I know from being on the LMT chatroom that you cannot refresh your page to get the clock. The site somehow knows how many times you have refreshed and if you refresh too much you will not get the clock. The other thing is that you have to be signed in and have to explore the LMT site and the video will pop up. Hope this helps. Maybe tonight will be my lucky night crossing fingers. I really do need a vacation after all this.

do you think they consider doing a search, then clicking on hotels, then doing the same search again, etc. etc. etc.... refreshing???

So maybe this is old news, and sorry if so but I just got back online, there's chatter on another website, yes, forgive me, I cheated on the Disboards, that people have contacted persons at LMT and the story goes ....

Everybody gets a 15 minute window, or some variation of such, only things is, you don't know when you're window is or where on the website your window is.

Meaning - I could sit here all day and at 6pm decide I need to reapply my deo, pee, grab some caffeine, a power bar and head back to my computer. My window could have been in the time frame. And, I would not know it because nothing on the website will tell me that I missed my window for the day.

You also don't know which part of LMT triggers for you to be able to see your clock. So I could be clicking on everything but cruises and bad for me, clicking on cruises would have triggered me seeing my clock. Or, by the time I do click on cruises I'm down to a mere few seconds. Again, I won't know if that was my last chance for the day since I get 15 minutes a day but not always 15 min all at once. I could be getting 3 clocks at 5 minute each.

How's that for frustrating, if it's true. I left for awhile today. My 15 min. could have come and gone and here I sit, waiting for it for the rest of the evening.

What do you think about that? Do you think everyone gets a chance or just certain IP addresses? I just don't get it either how some people have gotten it two, three times and I've never seen it once. It's just really bizzare. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm happy for my fellow Disers who have had it work for them but I'm also, seperately, frustrated because I'm just about living on that site. From what I read in the rules is that you can only win once a week, if you win more than that they will cancel ALL your ressies. So sometimes being greedy will not help but only hurt you.

My pop-up blocker was on when I won earlier today. The only times that I've gotten the videos were in the morning, yesterday, and I ran out of time. Today in the morning I was able to book it. I cleared my cookies, went to the LMT site, signed into my account, put my hotel info into speed book, hit search and the video popped up for me. HTH!

Heaven knows I've priced airline tickets to places I'll never fly, planned cruises I'll never take and looked at rental cars for an upcoming trip in May. I've definately been in the site.

I'm sorry to hear what your experience has been. DH and I talked about it and he says unless I can get like Poly or something then we're not going. How's that for beggars being choosers?

But the thing is, even though the room will be free, the airline tickets, food and park tickets aren't. We already own DVC and can go pretty much anytime as far as a room is concerned but unless we win it, I doubt we'll ever stay at the Poly or GF.

I have not even seen the video either. I have been on the site non stop and performed searches, refreshed, cleared cookies, etc. (these were all recommended and NOTHING) I am so confused why some get the clock and at the same time others do not. Am I doing something wrong??


Some people are able to book multiple times and then others do not even get the opportunity

I live in Orlando so a townhouse would have done me no good. I was trying for Poly because it is a place that I can't afford and really want to stay at. I was also trying for a room at Hard Rock or Royal Pacific for the same reasons the price.

Pop up blocker has nothing to do with it. I've had my pop-up blocker on when I saw the video. When you do a search the video will be on the next page like when you get your search results.

Me too, we must be living wrong. My DH and I sat from Sun. 10:30 pm through 3am on Tues. nonstop and nothing and I mean nothing. I can not let go of this bug though. Just knowing some on here have gotten somthing is so exciting.

I am right there with you....Sun from 10:30 to 2:30 on Tuesday and nothing...never a video either...HELP

Fellow obsessed Disers,

I'm back! After submitting myself to nonstop toruture (I calledd it water torture) all last Thurs night, and then not stopping thinking about it all weekend, and then my personal favorite time which was from midnight Sun. through NONSTOP for 25 hours until 1 on Tues morning, I am back. I passed out defeated, bummed out all day yesterday and did normal human things like took a shower , ate food, went out in the fresh air, and generally took care of my family. And now you are all sucking me back in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peopel are winning? I went through this thread and this is what I've picked up so far can someone please tell me if I have it all? or am I missing something?

I have my pop-up blocker on too and I was able to see the video....I don't think that would hinder you from seeing the video. There is something on the LMT website that triggers the video to go off.......

I've got chips left over from the Super Bowl! You probably don't want me here, though. The ONLY time is the videos show up is when I get frustrated and close the LMT window or am away from the computer. I'm controlling the whole thing I tell ya
