Not currently. My home is in a protected area by rivers anyway so I don't think it could happen. My town though is backed up to forest so house on the fringe have had problems but no losses in a long time.
But having forest in every direction and a summer that gets drier and drier as the snow melts and the water drains and dries up means fires can happen near by. Storms that are brief with little rain but lighting start them.
In the US fires on public land are left to burn until they threaten private property and structures. So hunting cabins are protected as an example. The fires are monitored and will burn until good snow falls.
I have a different sort of football downunder. 
Now, exactly how wicked is that though? I would give examples, however, I would not be able to keep it G then....
