Exactly.... and I never did retrieve it today. Because the weather was just too hot. So it will have to be tomorrow. Because Saturday in the am, I have to drop my cats off at the boarders. Then go and get my hair done. And that is an all day event. And I have to deal with gossipy hair people.

The time is coming soon for a bit of Nutella.... yum. I also like it with sliced bananas on a tasty bread, then lightly grilled (Paninni) then sprinkled with powdered sugar....

Home sick on Spring Break. No kidding I can now see ground in my yard, at least some of the tree wells have melted out around the aspens.

Your hot chicken broth is on the way, do you require any saltines?

I have officially seen grass in my yard! It is at the bottom of a 2" deep puddle of melted snow but it is grass... unfortunately there is another storm due in sometime this evening so it may disappear again.

Last year was nearly a tradegy. The ski area just eeked in with over 300 inches when it closed and the snow pack was measured at 60% of normal. Then it snowed over 100 more inches in April after it closed. So it was a really white spring that included the best skiing of the year but no lift service.

This year the ski area closes on Sunday, currently with over 550 inches of snow, and last I heard the snow pack was 110% but I'm guessing higher now.


Last year I had the last bit of snow in the yard in the shadow of the house melt in May. This year I'm hoping sooner.

Beautiful day though, mostly sunny, but any second now I expect that storm to come in.

We have strawberries on the north side of the garage past sprouting they are plants already grew to about 3-4 inches while still under the snow.

Beautiful here today too a little breezy but not bad... but that storm is coming.. maybe the change in barometric pressure will finally get the horse moving along probably will in the teeth of the storm would be just like my luck.

No doubt, at the ranch we lost a calf and heffer, sometime between 2am and 5:30am. Of course the other heffer to have one while I was there was between 1pm and 3pm with no problems whats over.

I'm sure you will get your foal when the wind hits 50mph.

Because nothing easy happens at a convinient time and everything difficult happens at the hardest times.
