And do hope you guys feel comfortable here on the CB. Not sure all that seems to have transpired (looks like a lot, very confusing, but sometimes the DIS is, LOL, but it all works out, good people here  ) The CB is a fun place for all the chit-chat, and do hope you browse around a bit, many good folks here, lots of ideas, opinions and all. Enjoy.

Absolutely, come on in. Here, you can take my seat. I don't mind standing since I've beens sitting for so long. I'll grab you a danish and latte. Which concierge have you done? I've stayed AKL and WL. My favorite by far is AKL. I'm looking at trying BWI and CR on our next trip. :teeth:

VALDAN That's the spirit!!
:Pinkbounc :bounce: Concierge isn't just a room category - it's a feeling  I just love the benefits of staying concierge and it makes for a completely different experience. I love feeling so pampered and well taken care of ::yes:: It's so much more than "breaking even on breakfast and bottled water..." You have personal, customized service that is worth its weight in gold. I love it!! Can't wait to introduce my little brother and his new wife to AKL Concierge next month. They're going to FLIP:Pinkbounc :bounce: And DD(8) and I will be so happy to be back there!princess: princess:
:wave2:

Johnsonet - I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I know others have. Anyway, you have one absolutely adorable little girl. I love your princess pictures. I didn't get a chance to meet any of the princesses while I was there so I'm opting for CRT on our next visit. I'm pretty sure it was my bad timing and locations is the reason I didn't get a chance, but I'll have another go at it! :teeth:

The more I look at Angel's picture, the more I need to be at AKL this January! Angel>> I am assuming the ankole family is still on the Uzima savannah? Usually hanging out in the back towards the Arusha fence? Hmmmmm might have to make a few changes to our resort choice then a few changes to our room location with concierge!

As far as the rest of this goes... I am just sick over this! Last night I really did have a headache that I attribute to this mess. I lost two very good friends from the board last night, one I met in person at the sorority meet and one I hoped to meet soon, but talked with on the phone. THey are both two of the sweetest most caring people I know. I am glad that we have a place to share our thoughts/dreams/worries. Thank you Donna for keeping us together. Please give my best to BT if you talk with her today.

Debbie

VaGal - you are very sweet to say that. Thank you! My little girl is darling -inside and out. I believe you are the mom of an "only" too, is that right? I'll bet he's a wonderful travel partner::yes::
Definitely take advantage of the IPO of whatever resort(s) you go with and get them to book you CRT. That's a HUGE perkprincess: You will have so much fun, as will your whole family. Once when we went, Aladdin was there:teeth: Also, we saw lots of princesses at Epcot in April and July: Snow White in Germany, Sleeping Beauty at the International Gateway, Belle in France and Mary Poppins (princess-ish - and gorgeous!) in the UK. Have fun! OH! And I really hope you'll incorporate BWI CL into your plans ::yes:: I switched over there from GF for our last 2 nights during our July trip b/c of rave reviews from KerryCM and a certain someone princess: and it was to die for!! I want to spend a week there this Spring or Summer!

You're welcome, and thanks to you for your support, Debbie I did try to call BT, but she hung up on me. I do understand how awful she must feel, and I will keep trying. I also want my fellow lizards to know that my original title for this thread was "The New Lizard Lounge (as originated by ******) but that was changed by the moderators or WM. A big part of my reason for starting this version of the lounge was to continue the wonderful thing that BT created, so that her efforts would not go down the drain. I'm sorry that you lost two friends, Debbie; I feel like we're all losing here and my hope is that after a healing time we can have all of our friends back "home" where they belong.

WELCOME to the lounge Valdan, and rest assured that it isn't usually in such a state of upheaval. I think you'll love it here - you surely have the right attitude!

*laughing* I was also the mom of an only... :) The last one just kinda showed up!

I love your pictures, Liz! I've been looking specifically for your posts every day to see what changes you've done!

Concierge is like having your mom back to do everything for you, that you've been doing for your family for so long. Ok, maybe that metaphor doesn't work, but I'll work on it!

Debbie

ack! We're typing at the same time!

Thank you, Donna, for giving us a home and making sure we stay together as a group.:grouphug:

Debbie I totally agree! I don't think you need to work on that metaphor at all:teeth:
Thank you re. my pics; I think I'll stay with this one for a while. I love it and it's good quality...
Since this is the CB, I don't feel bad about straying from the topic:teeth: How many years, if you don't mind my asking, between your DD and your DS? And what was it like adapting to your second?

Anyone been to MVMCP? I'm wondering how to best take advantage of the shows while also allowing DB and DSIL to experience MK. Thanks!

Yep, I only have one. ;) He's wonderful to hangout with, but definitely NOT into the whole princess thing. That would be ME that is princess:. I have my MIL and SIL to do the princess breakfast with me since DS and DH will not be willing to step foot in that door . It's fine by me since it's give me another opportunity for just a girlie moment.

VaGal, We've stayed GF for 2 nights. My favorite is Polynesian.
And I give my thanks to Steve and Donna. Your great website is why we decided to stay at the Polynesian for our first trip. My kids don't want to stay anywhere else! Next year we are staying at the YC for 3 nights then our usual 6 or 7 at the Polynesian.

There is nothing like falling asleep and waking up with the castle at your window. :D

I honestly wanted two, but DH was adamant about having one, affording one, yada yada... after a few years I realized it made sense, plus too many years had gone by in my version of "two kids" for it to work. Well, seven years later POOF! Guess what honey, pill didn't work again. We no longer had any baby items around the house so everything was bought new. Then again, we had more money this time around, so he received new where the princess received "used" the first time around. Natalie loved her baby brother to death in the early years...can't say the same now, although with any sibling relationship they would defend each other to the end if an outsider were to step in.

I've done 14 years of "bathrooms across America", but I've also had 16 years of someone believing in Santa. If we had a child between them, this would still be normal. I have run into many people with their kids also spaced like this, but they're on second and third marriages. This is our one and only marriage.

VaGal>> I dragged Danny to the princess breakfast last year. He loved the food so much he wanted to go for Easter and the following July! He just says he goes for the food and to make mom happy.

Another reason why we're trying out the CR. We have a MK view and her such nice things about 14th floor we had to try it. I secretly wish DH would be a Poly convert so I can give it a whirl. I'm going to keep on working on him.

Johnsonet - Talk about age difference! DH and his little sister are about 10 years apart. She doesn't graduate from HS until next year. So I'd say it's like raising another family. I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge adjustment, but an adjustment no doubt. I hear you can't even remember what life was like without a infant/toddler around after while. :teeth:

I don't think I can even con them into the food...they both said they'd eat in the lounge or go to Boma's/Chef Mickey's. We are on our own - LOL!

My father and his brother are 18 years apart! They literally raised an only child, put him into college and had another only child! I don't think I could do that, but it worked fine for my grandparents! My uncle is only a few years older than I am because of this.

Hockeymom, I just had to jump in here. I have a teen and a pre-schooler. 11 years apart. My dear son was one of those "suprise" children. So I had an only for 11 years, and when she leaves for college I will have another only. It does make for an interesting household, and I know all too well about having to rebuy all of the baby stuff (we had just finally given all of my daughter's to good will or sold it to Once Upon a Child just 5 months before I got pregnant again!! )

Hey everyone,

I have heard that some of you are wondering where the clip art in your signatures has disappeared to - good question!

The clip art you all knew from yesterday - which as you know was/is hosted elsewhere - had been somewhat, uh, modified by this morning and had become un-acceptable to us to remain on this site.

We concluded that it wasn't all of you expressing this sentiment but rather a 3rd party using your identities without your permission. Unfortunately we were therefore left with no alternative but to add something to our filter to prevent this.

If you need help fixing your signatures with some new clip art or removing the red X then feel to head over to the Tech Support Forum where one of the team will be happy to help you.

I appreciate that there are some hurt feelings out there right now and for that I'm sorry but circumstances dictated that we had no other choice.

Just wanted to keep you all updated!
