And here is a pic of the outdoor seating - taken from our room - also this summer.

Thanks so much for posting the pictures. It looks great in there and I am sure we will have a meal or 2 in there during our trip. I am sure my boys will love playing the games so DH and I can sit and relax while they play. That was really nice of you to get them for me. :thumbsup2

Loralie

Loralie I know what seating you were thinking about inside Gasparillas...they used to have tables with those chairs attached...they would slide from side to side...I didnt even realize that they changed them and I was there not too long ago...

Yes...the pics on the rate and review has a picture of those seats and that would not work for my DH. The new seating looks great so I am sure everyone will be happy.

Loralie

You're very welcome. I take a lot of resort pics... it's nice when they can help other DISers. Sounds as though Gasparilla's will be a useful spot for your family :thumbsup2

Even tho were going to be in RPC we always like getting Refillable mugs so how long is the walk from RPC to Gasperillas

Also are there stairs in the RPC to get out of the building? I am assuming that these would be key entry lol

Yes especially Vonnie and Joe!

Awwww...my Joey :goodvibes
Vonnie is pretty much the kindest person on the planet :goodvibes

I feel like I have a really cool brother and sister who happen to work in the best place on earth :cloud9:

2 funny stories:
1. One year they didn't leave any toilet paper in our room so while we were at dinner Vonnie came in and left like 20 rolls :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
2. One night during the free evening cocktails I indulged a little too much and was totally drunk at Joe's desk making the whole third floor laugh their butts off :lmao:
Now Joe insists that I only visit his desk when drunk :rotfl:

they are the best!!

Well, last year (during free dining) at POP I made a vow (even though it is my fave value resort) that I would return this year and stay at the GF. Thanks to the free room night promo...we are staying at the GF in May!!!!!:dance3:

It will be myself, my mother and my daughter (age 7)...we are beside ourselves with excitement!!! We are going for the full monty with DlxDDP and park hoppers.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I was wondering if the daybeds in the rooms folded out? I'm not sure why, but my dd insists that she will be sleeping on the daybed...afterall...it's PINK!!!!:rolleyes1 :worship: I think I have gone through every single page on this thread, but couldn't find anything about them.

I don't even want to do the online check-in as I want to experience everything (including check-in) at the GF!!!:rotfl2:

Thank you very much for your input!!!

Wendy :tinker:

The day beds are wonderful and fold out to a twin sized bed. My son loved it last year when we stayed there. We didn't think to us it until the last night. The standard rooms all have the day bed except the dormer room. I could be mistaken but I don't believe they have the day beds.

I hope this helps:goodvibes !

The BRAND NEW CORONADO SPRINGS FAQ THREAD w/ PHOTOS (PART IV) has been on this forum all day, but no one has posted to it since early afternoon since it slipped to Page 3. We have been attempting to "clean-up" the 100+ pages of the thread.

FAQ threads are very useful resources for this Forum and serve to provide a lot of great information to many DIS posters. We would really like to have a FAQ thread that provides maximum information so that users can find the information easily. With a thread this large "easily" is not possible. In addition, due to the good information and images posted in the thread, some of the "sock puppet" posts do remain. Unfortunately, it was not possible to remove them all without destroying the essence of the FAQ itself. Since most of the images are not hosted on the DIS, it might be necessary to remove images in the future should the links be changed by those who control them.

The thread has been pruned to attempt to maintain the essence of CSR and also allow easy access to the information. This was done by removing many of the "chatty", non-informational posts. At attempt was made to keep the photos, great questions asked in the thread, and the great responses to those questions. Hopefully, what remains will hopefully serve as a good resource for others.

We would really like to repeat this effort with the other resort FAQs - not to minimize discussion, but to provide a concise resource for those looking for information about each WDW resort. We would ask for everyone's assistance in minimizing the "chatty" comments in these FAQs. Feel free to use the "Resort Photos" and "Countdowns and Live Reports" boards for those comments.
The other CSR threads originally merged into the FAQ thread have also been moved and restored with most of their original posts. You can look for those threads on the "Resort Photos" board.

I do apologize for the confusion and hope our efforts will ultimately make the CSR thread a stronger presence on the DIS.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Just thought I would post it here for all of us to see. This is not dine to UPSET anyone but since there have been so many issues lately. We can all be on the same page and get along.

Thanks for the pictures

Is it very noisy inside? - I'd prefer to sit outside and it would probably be lovely at breakfast but the humidity in the summer might knock the idea of sitting out there at lunchtime on the head :beach:

Wendy5055 Your 7-year-old will be fine on the daybed :thumbsup2

TinkTatoo :wave2: YES. Gasparilla's can be very noisy, especially b/c of the video games. But so long as it isn't packed, I'm sure you'll be fine there. We don't eat in outdoor seating area during the summer months for the very reason you mention - humidity :scared:

My son didnt mind the day bed last August at all. The top folds down and it was very easy to do and once the mousekeeper knew we were suing it the set it up everynight at turndown for us.

I've slept on a daybed (when my sisters and I went and shared a room last year in SL) and it was fine for me.

When going to DS, how is the bus service to/from GF? Is it better to plan on a taxi if we have exhausted little ones? Also, what about transportation to the hoop dee do review? I appreciate everyone sharing their insights:) This thread has me so excited about our trip in May:)

Wendy5055 Congratulations!!:cheer2: You are going to love th GF!! How very nice a trip for you your mom and your DD...what nice memories you'll make... the day beds are very comfy according to my kids who have all taken turns sleeping on them...and they are teens...:)

I would take a taxi to the HDD, I think it is a pain to get to.
I also take one to DTD the bus from the GF takes forever.
