Anywhooo.....Here is a cute floor pic jazzed up a bit compliments of the WDW Florist.....That whole thing was very cute....

Our first night, we had a beautiful 2 bedroom suite at the Swan...it had three balconies...and just to mix it up a bit...here are some view shots....the Swan is a lovely hotel.

And..something kind of weird....we were up til almost 4 am...and there were NO lights on Spaceship Earth...I thought it was always illuminated like the castle...we could see it's silhouette in the distance..but it was dark.

They kind of seemed to cut back a bit on the offerings...but this was the only day we were around for the midday munchies...it just seemed light...although the place was empty..so I am sure they don't want to be wasteful, either....

As for your mention of the cutting back on food in the lounge, I was afraid it was going to happen...I just wish the company would cut the prices back more, if they are going to cut services. Especially in light of how much people pay to stay RPC. I would love to meet the great CMs you praise so much, such as Vonnie, but I fear I will not ever be able to afford those RPC rates unless I get a 40% pin code. They just sound like the best staff..

A food pet peeve of mine at the RPC is the fact that they start cleaning up and putting everything away 10-15 minutes before the posted end time. For instance , breakfast ends at 10:30am , but I noticed cast members putting food away at 10:15am !!! This annoyed me to no end I'm paying top dollar to stay at the RPC , let me enjoy what I'm paying for. I also don't like when they go 30-40 minutes at the time with no offerings and the food part of the lounge roped off....

I am so Excited! I am now 89 days from Check in at the GF!!!!

I made my ADR's Yesterday: Jiko, Artists Point, Narcoossee's, Garden View Tea at the GF, 1900 Park Fare.

I also booked the Cabana for our first full day there and will call tomorrow to book our 2nd day.

We are spending the whole trip at the Resort since we live locally and can park hop whenever we want!


OT- i moved to Orlando in September and haven't been able to find a job since but I got a call back on Monday and I start my new job on MONDAY YAYYY!!! Now I can really enjoy the GF! Even if I have to work some days how awesome to say I'm going home to the GF for a few days



I am wondering if I have made my room requests too general and if I should be more specific in terms of building? I requested a room on a ground floor or Near the elevator since my mom is mobility challenged. Luckily won't be needing the wheelchair like we thought her surgeon is holding off on surgery (yay, for now).

We have a Garden View and since we would like to be close to the main Pool, and the main building should we instead request a certain building?

89 days to obsess over it right?

Hi! Thanks we did have the most fantastic fun time!!!!

Honestly I don't think they pay any attention to room requests.....but from what you want....proximity to the main building and pool...I would request Big Pine. You will be farthest from Gaspies though....or on the farther side anyway but everything is aabout a 5 min walk or less really.

If you aren't happy with where you are assigned...ask what else is available. Have you seen the map on the first page? Maybe seeing that would help you decide what building might be best for you.

I hope you get one!!! My HUSBAND who never books a trip....my last name is different and our trips are always booked in MY NAME LOL....because I BOOK THEM...HE gets the 40% off postcard.. And he doesn't want to go. I hope you get that discount!!! The CMs at the GF are so wonderful. They honestly are a big reason why we keep coming back. They add the magic. The GF is a beautiful hotel but there are plenty of beautiful hotels....it's special due to the people that work there.

We could really tell they were cutting back on the evening treats....big time. It seemed that they would run out and not refill...that was the first time I ever saw that at the GF....i've seen it at YC and Poly and BWI...but not at GF before...so that was kind of odd.

Also..thye don't have as many and as lush floral arrangements...they have these urns all over...empty urns.... Well...lets just hope they are empty...they could hold ashes from the looks of them. I am NOT kidding.....
