I'm still new at the DIS. DGF and I leave Friday morning 6am flight through Nov. 21st at the GF We're going to MVMCP and I'm planning something special that you will hear about on our return. I will need help posting pictures! Thank you Alicnwondrln for starting this thread. It's helped me tremendously with some last minute tips and planning.

As for posting pics, a lot of us use photobucket & it makes it really easy.

Thanks! Earlier you told DLo that our dates or booked solid and to check in early. I was told that my room has already been assigned could that change if we stay out longer in MK and get back later than 3pm for check in?

Well, I know the resort is sold out - this I know for sure & I am just passing it on to you GF thread pals. Not to cause panic, it's just info. I would check in ASAP just from MY experiences, but if it's going to ruin your day or plans do what you need to do. I am just going by my experiences and what I know. The 21st is the day before Thanksgiving.....If it were me, I would check in ASAP. That's what I am planning to do.

This will be my first time at GF as a guest. I'm a CR and BW vet., but I have a feeling I will claim the GF as my new home in Disney. If you see a young couple with custom mickey and minnie shirts on the 16th that may be us!

Let the packing BEGIN!!! If it hasn't already!!

Congrats to all those who will be arriving at the GF soon!

I'll be checking in at the GF 2 weeks from Thursday (post-DCL cruise). I cannot wait for all parts of this trip - it has been so long in the making, that it's hard to believe it's almost here!

I am still working with Private Dining on arranging a surprise dinner for DH and me on the 3rd floor RPC balcony. The woman in PD has been a bit hard to get a hold of, so hopefully she will get my subtle pressure from my e-mail to her today. I have about a week to get this thing all finalized, and I want it to be a great experience for my DH.

Also trying to decide if I'll order any treats or not. Love the look of those strawberries with chocolate dipping sauce, as well as the individual cakes. However, I want to make sure I get my $$ worth from all the RPC "free" goodies!

Make sure those of you going soon bring back lots of pics to share. I promise to, too!

CInderumbrella... I am really intrigued by your COnch room pictures... NO wallpaper on the walls... Hmmm... I thought our room in COnch in Sept. was the odd one.. but now yours too. Was yours a ground floor room? Ours was and on the end closest to SL. Curious now is it just Conch with no wallpaper or are all the GC rooms like this.

Yes, we were a ground room floor. Room 7101 (Our room was right in front of The Grand One). We were there the last week in August through Labor Day weekend...

AHHH... I think I feel better now... We had the same room (see post #85 on pg 5 for similiar pciture). I guess we were there shortly after you... Sept 14-Sept 19. I hope you had better housekeeping they we did.... unfortunately we had horrible problems but in the end GF did the right thing and truly it didn't dampen our wondeful trip.

I loved the location of the room... I actually thought the ground floor was convenient, no elevators, liked the view, and I liked the little side exit door right by the room.

Our mousekeeper was excellent- and she always came in the AM so if we popped back for a swim right after lunch the room was done. Sorry you had issues though.

At first I was disappointed that we didn't get a dormer room, but after a couple of days I was really happy to be on the ground floor since that was one less elevator to deal with!

THANKS for the well wishes everybody!!

Yes, we are getting soooo excited. I was home for about 45 minutes today - spent the day getting my hair done (haha) and then just running all over buying last minute stuff and getting ready. Trying to pack, but I think I am going to have to redo it....just because I am that way, lol. I take stuff out, tell myself I can do without it, then think about it and wind up putting it back + more.

I print our boarding passes tomorrow morning!!!
