We were at the Sugar Loaf from 5th Nov to the 10th Nov, so we must have crossed paths. We too had a lovely time with absolutely no complaints about the level of service. The lounge did get a little busy at certain times in the morning, but no real problems getting a table. We were lucky enough to get a lodge tower room on the 2nd floor which was absolutely beautiful, and it is true that the new decor looks better in real life than on the pictures, I really liked it. The food offerings were lovely, especially the scones for afternoon tea!
IPO was great too - all our bookings made by Calvin were in place. We very much enjoyed the Wildlife Discovery tour at the AK and watching the fireworks from the CG - although very cold up there, and DH had severe vertigo! We ate at the GF Cafe one night with guests and the food was lovely (mini tiramisu dessert was excellent).
We hired one of the bigger sized boats from the marina which was very comfy and relaxing, and DS 6 enjoyed the Pirate Cruise. We stayed at the Poly last year, which we loved, but for me the GF beat it hands down and I would highly recommend the SL service (although have not stayed RPC, which I'm sure would be better again) The one thing SL beats RPC on though is its proximity to the quiet pool, you could step from one to the other quite easily which felt really nice. We enjoyed watching the Gingerbread House go through the construction phases, although left before it officially opened. Well now I've started, I can't stop, so I will end for the moment - will post pics when they are uploaded.
