Also, not that it's likely to be available, but if we could get an ADR at Narcoosee's would our 2.5 and 6y/o children be OK there?
Hello! This past trip in October/November we ate at Narcoossee and Citricos with my DD6 and DS3! They did great! We had earlier sittings at 5:20 and 5:40 and at Narcoossee the tables on either side of us had young children at them. When we went to Citricos there were some tables of children and a wedding reception with children. Absolutely bring them and hope for the best like I did! They are two of our favorite restaurants and I cant say enough about them!!!

Channing,I will repeat how jealous I am!!! Have an awesome time!!!:wizard: What will I do without your responces for 11 days??

Siobhan

Siobhan....here I am!!:thumbsup2 OK, I will have to post from the GF.:rotfl:

I am PACKED!!!!!!!! Now have to weigh them and make sure they're a ok. THAT might be an issue. :rotfl:

I am going to have to let you all know about 1900. I am actually looking forward to it jsut because it's different.

Take care,
Channing :)

We were over on both my big suitcases coming home and do you know that the nice woman from Southwest let it go!!!! In March I had to pay! Good luck with that! My extra bag that I brought came home with candy! Are the girls doing BBB at MK? There is a Disser that works there named Angela who was very nice! angiebelle is her name on the boards!
Talk to you when you get back- have a GRAND time!

We stayed at the GF in August of 2006. I absolutely LOVE the hand and body lotion that was in the little tan and green jar! But it's all gone and I'm soooo sad. When we were there we tried to buy it, but what they showed me in the gift shop did NOT smell the same. Has anyone been able to purchase this hand and body lotion anywhere??

Thank you so much in advance for your time. This would be the best Christmas present!

Channing, I hope you do get a chance to post from there, especially so that we can know that you've landed a great room! And enjoyed 1900...
And Mickey Maz, glad you enjoyed the YOMD upgrade. Lucky you...I'm paying for my first stay in concierge in a few days. And really looking forward to some good treats in the lounge.

Hi Grannyminnie!! Hope to see you around on Monday....is that when you arrive or is it Sunday?? We will have lots of fun and I will post how things are going. We are looking really forward to it...DD11 said she is "tingly with excitement.":yay:

Mom24girlygirls....It is supposed to smell the same....isn't it all the H2O stuff? I had the same issue w/some Bath and Body Works lotion. I bought more of the same or what I thought was the same & it just doesn't even smell close. :headache:

Hey, Tete, we are also flying SWA....maybe they'll cut me some slack.:rotfl: I got charged extra once on American.:sad2: Yes, my girls are doing BBB on Saturday morning. DD7 wants to wear her Mulan dress.:goodvibes

MickeyMaz
, glad it was a nice stay!! THanks for the review.:)

FYI, Kent Mitchell is no longer the GM of the GF. I am not sure when he left, but I just found out there's a new GM and I know I directed Katesdad to address his correspondence to K Mitchell. Oops. I am sure it will get to the exec offices just fine, though.

I am DONE packing!!!!:cool1: :cool1: Now I can play.:thumbsup2

Happy planning,

Lives4Disney :)

Channing, if you still have not left, we're arriving around lunchtime that Sunday. Might have on our Minnie ears, since my sisters and I are Minnie 1 (me, the oldest), Minnie 2 and (you guessed it) Minnie 3.

Channigng have a grat time!! Tell Vonnie I said hi! I will talk to you when you get back! Take tons of pics for this thread.

I leave tomorrow morning and will be back on the 21st with lots of GF pics including the christmas decor. Thank you everybody for your expertise and help! Disney in24 hrs and 5 min!!:cool1:

mickeywatch Have a great trip and look forward to your report!

Mom24girlygirls I have seen H20 products at my local Marshall's. I am not sure if they have them where you are but it might be worth looking into. I ak going to go back myself and look now that I know what I am looking for!

Hello all,

Just back from 6 days down at the World and my out of the blue upgrade from Standard View to SL Concierge. We had nothing to compare it too so everything was GREAT. We had a first floor room across from the Concierge area. The food was great. We needed to make some schedule changes to make sure we were there at least two nights for the evening food and drink. I thought I had read that there were no Wine or Beer, but there was. It is still a blur. While I get our trip notes together, does anyone have any questions I can answer? We were given the upgrade as a Year of a Million Dreams reward. One of three we got on this trip. If I had one complaint, it would be the noise level of where we were, but Beggars cannot be choosers, so we did not care that much.
One other quick note, the boat loading area at the Magic Kingdom for the Poly and GF has been moved since last year. It is on the far right if you are looking at the two hotels.

We were at the Sugar Loaf from 5th Nov to the 10th Nov, so we must have crossed paths. We too had a lovely time with absolutely no complaints about the level of service. The lounge did get a little busy at certain times in the morning, but no real problems getting a table. We were lucky enough to get a lodge tower room on the 2nd floor which was absolutely beautiful, and it is true that the new decor looks better in real life than on the pictures, I really liked it. The food offerings were lovely, especially the scones for afternoon tea!

IPO was great too - all our bookings made by Calvin were in place. We very much enjoyed the Wildlife Discovery tour at the AK and watching the fireworks from the CG - although very cold up there, and DH had severe vertigo! We ate at the GF Cafe one night with guests and the food was lovely (mini tiramisu dessert was excellent).

We hired one of the bigger sized boats from the marina which was very comfy and relaxing, and DS 6 enjoyed the Pirate Cruise. We stayed at the Poly last year, which we loved, but for me the GF beat it hands down and I would highly recommend the SL service (although have not stayed RPC, which I'm sure would be better again) The one thing SL beats RPC on though is its proximity to the quiet pool, you could step from one to the other quite easily which felt really nice. We enjoyed watching the Gingerbread House go through the construction phases, although left before it officially opened. Well now I've started, I can't stop, so I will end for the moment - will post pics when they are uploaded. :)

I'll get some more details and pics as soon as we get them uploaded also. I am glad you had a great time. It was a tad crowded but not overly so. And I liked the closeness of the Hot-Tub. Especially on those chillier afternoons. It was great. For all of those going have a blast. We did most of our planning with Robert, who also left us daily what is going on voice-mails. Very Cool.

mickeywatch33, have a fantastic time! We look forward to hearing your report. I'm there in 10 days!!!
JoeSam, appreciated your report especially since I'm booked in SL for the first time. Can't wait!!

I am relieved to know I am not the only one that wasted the week before my trip.

H2O has a website that you can order from, but I think you had the old lotion. That used to come in a green jar. Not sure exactly when they switched, we had the H2O stuff in December 2006.
