Ladies and Gentlemen...

This thread has been moving fast today... ofcourse I spent 4hrs..yes 4hrs fighting with Delta trying to make a reservation... from supervisor to supervisor no-one could seem able to make our flight resv with the credits we had. I can't begin to tell you the exasperation... then I call to see if we can add another day at GF and their computers are down!!!

Please give it up... what are the other sites for the clothes and did I see something about pillowcases? If I am going to get in trouble I might as well go all the way.... well not exactly as far as that Model... YIKES!

Oh... and Channing did you say something about dolls similiar to AG... Details Details... please...

Alicn... Awesome about the podcast... I am going to try to download it later tonight and give it a listen. I can't wait.

Well of to see if the computers at Disney are up again... probably another hour on the phone...

Big Groofy, I just emailed a GF CM friend about doing this for myself....

She said to address it to yourself C/O Grand FL and their address. You should state your check in date AND reservation date. I've done it before and it worked fine - I just needed a refresher.

Do you think it is fine to skip GF's street address (4401 Grand Floridian Way)? They don't even have enough space for me to type Lake Buena Vista!

OMG....I wouldn't skip that address. I just wouldn't do it. I would be sooo nervous that it wouldn't make it. Honestly, it seems like the more info the better just to be careful and the CM told me to put the reservation number on it.

Can I ask what shipper you're using?? I Fed Ex and UPS things. The only shipper I used to GF has been UPS. I just write my own label on the box & include all my ressie info and take it to the UPS store and they have me fill out their paperwork there & attach that too. I read on another thread today that UPS is the ONLY shipper that goes directly to the WDW resorts....not sure what that's about at all, but that makes me feel like I better UPS my Easter stuff vs Fed Ex which I was going to do.

Let me see if I can find where I read that AACKKK... give me a few minutes to look it up as I dont want you to have problems with feb ex.

I recently read that exact thing.....not sure which thread but it was recent. I don't understand that whole ups thing. Fed Ex is cheaper for my large box I am sure and had planned to use them. I wonder what the UPS deal is?!?!?

Biggroofy, I don't know what to tell ya. I would just be leary of not having the street address on it and your ressie number and check in date. And then I read that UPS stuff regarding the delivery to the resorts that Praline mentioned. I know you can't believe everything you read, haha, but having a CM tell me what I should put on the package kind of sealed it for me that that would be necessary info.

Praline!!! I won the outfit!!! That will also put an end to my Disney dress/outfit Ebaying. You got me so started on this thing. I am on a rush!!! I sniped it at the last second. Love that. I only won by a few cents, too. Whew. That was too close for comfort. But I am DONE. I just hope it all turns out to be super cute and well made.

Going from my bad memory but if I remember correctly only UPS goes strait to the resort for delivery? I just remembered the important parts... if I ship TO the resort I need to use UPS only

I wish I could find that thread now but i am not that good... maybe someone else will know.

I do this every single trip. Not snacks - but toiletries, etc etc. Less to take down whren I fly - and I dont want to have to check luggage at the airport.

They hold it at the Front Desk, until you check in - and give it to you when you do. It works out really well.

MAKE SURE you ship UPS (only carrier to go directly to each resort) and put a big ol sticker on it:

PLEASE HOLD FOR MICKEY MOUSE
CHECKING IN 2.20.2008
RESERVATION # 123456789

Send it TO YOU - in care of the resort:

TO: MICKEY MOUSE
C/O: POP CENTURY

Works out well, I love doing it. Then I save that box, and mail back dirty clothes for more room for souveniers. Just toss a roll of packing tape in your supply box!!

I don't know how this company would feel about this, but one way I've gotten around not enough blanks in the past is to put extra info in other fields. In other words:

First Name: (put both names here) Last Name: Arrival 3/1
Address: c/o Grand Floridian Res. #
Address: 4401 Floridian Way
City: Lake BuenaVista State: XX ZIP: XXXXX

You could get the tracking info, call the GF to make sure it arrives etc.

All the work-around is perfect except their system does not accept numbers (3/1) in the Last Name field. For now, I have emailed them and ask if I can follow-up (by email) with mailing instructions after making the order.

WDW lists among the amenities - UPS/FEDEX/USPS Package receiving for resort guests.

Sorry to jump in all testy, but wanted to support the company that pays my bills!

Thats cool! Like I said, I am NO expert on the matter. I just remembered reading it somewhere on the Dis and took note of it in case I had to ship something to the resort.
Where did you find the amenities thingy? That way Biggoofy can have it offically in black and white from Disney.
