Thanks for the info. Since i just got home from WDW yesterday, i ddid see the construction and i know it will more than likely be worse come late Aug/early Sept. That's one reasoon i was leaning toward the more rectangular layout rooms. They overlook the corurtyard pool area.

Thanks so much for sharing your photos. I have two weird questions for you.

First, does the lobby of Sago Cay have restrooms? I have two little boys - one potty trained and the other will hopefully be by our October trip. I'm just wondering if I could dash one downstairs if the other is purposely taking his good old time. The tinkle dance can only last so long.

Second, what kind of coffee machine is in the room? Does it take pods or k-cups? We were thinking of brining our one from home. I'm a roll out of bed and drink a cup of coffee kind of girl.

I checked about the bathrooms, the outer buildings do not have restrooms. There are restrooms at the pools if that helps!

Also, the picture k&a&c'smom posted of the Cuisinart coffee maker is what we have in our room. The coffee maker uses single serving coffee pods. They provide 2 regular and 1 decaf pods, but you can get more daily from housekeeping.

A very stormy afternoon. The first picture was taken about 3:30 during the storm. The picture is blurry because the the wind and sheets of rain!

This picture was taken about an hour later. The sun was out but the sky was so dark in the distance.

Time for Twilight Refreshers! Tonight's hot offerings are sweet and spicy chicken and Brie puffs!

Dh is down checking the luggage then we'll visit mk one more time before gettin on DME. Looks okay out now but there are supposed to be storms. Hoping our late afternoon flight is okay.

JungleCruiser I'm so sorry we didn't get to meet up. The weather the past couple of days messed up our pm pool plans.

PrincessShanShan - Welcome! Congrats on your BB to RPC, very nice!

I have only stayed in the rectangular deluxe queen, it was wonderful and huge! Could have played catch in that room, lol. I would definitely request this room for the upcoming year, as the others overlook the construction area, as coopersmom posted. I have a photo of the courtyard view from the rectangular deluxe - not a great one, one of my kids took it, but at least it gives you an idea of the view. Since they overlook the courtyard, they do not face the construction.

Jungle Cruiser - dramatic photos! Thanks for the update on the coffee makers, sounds like the change has been made in most if not all rooms.

So far they have been great and hopefully I'll get one of the rooms I requested. If not, I'll still be happy just to be there'

I agree, the view bethclayton posted doesn't look as bad as I imagined, I wouldn't mind that view. We don't see the crane she mentioned, maybe that makes a big difference.

Nothing is guaranteed, as they will likely tell you in their correspondence, but they try very hard to accommodate requests in RPC. Definitely great to be in any RPC room!

Welcome! Isn't the courtyard beautiful?! Love that view, in fact I rarely get a view I dislike at the GF.

Ok, I have some pics of the pool area where the construction is. You will have to "mentally stitch" these photos together to get an idea. They were all taken from my lounge chair out of laziness. Basically, sitting facing the waterfall, the view was not as bad as I expected. However, compared to what it used to look like, it is really a shame.

I'm home . We were able to squeeze in a couple of hours at MK this morning and they were kind enough to extend our check out until 1 p.m. so we could freshen up in the room one last time before catching our 12:55 DME. The forecast looked pretty grim for today so I was worried about our flight but everything went off without a hitch and we got in 30 minutes early. As of the time we left we didn't experience any of the severe thunderstorms they were predicting. I hope it stayed that way for the folks still there!

Am aiming to get some pics downloaded tomorrow so I can share! It was so fun checking in with you guys and sharing the fun during our trip! Thank you all for the help with our last minute planning. I'm so happy to have found this nice GF group!!

bethclayton - Thanks for the photos, very helpful in picturing the fencing around the pool. It is not very pretty, I agree. The beach pool looks kind of deserted.

We will have 4 in the room and DH and DSS can share one of each daily but with DD and my hair being long we would need our own bottle of shampoo, conditoner probably daily.. Is that too much to ask for? I dont want to be rude..

Yes and yes!! They do replenish daily, and you can ask for extra - just call mousekeeping when you arrive and they will send up extra. If you see your mousekeeper, mention that you need extra each day, no problem. In our experience, you will have more than you need.

Hello GF lovers!

We are excited to try out the GF on our upcoming June multi-split stay trip. We are currently booked in SL but are considering upgrading to RPC. I am really interested in TPV but unfortunately it isn't available, so I am wondering if there is anywhere in the lounge area that offers a view of Wishes.

Also, if I do upgrade what should I request to hopefully dodge a construction view.

OMG Im such a pain just when I think I have made a decision I root through a few more posts and then change my mind and rethink it again !! One more question from a King Deluxe Main Bldg can we see fireworks ? What about Sugar Loaf can you see fireworks from your room ?

They did replenish and we had plenty, although we didn't get any body wash while we were there, just shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I was wishing there was body wash because I didn't bring any.
