I need some help from GF experts! We haven't stayed there since 2003. Previously we've been in Conch Key and Sago Cay, both were very nice. This trip we are booked for garden view so I'm not sure what request to make for location. Can anyone give me some tips? Thanks so much!

On our last trip to the GF December of last year, we were in Big Pine Key and loved it. We were very convenient to the main building for the monorail and it wasn't that far of a walk to Gasparilla's. Plus it's right next to the courtyard pool (which was nice) and is close to the beach pool. But IMO, there's really no bad GV room at the GF .

Oh Big Pine Key was a wonderful view, we had "garden" but we faced the court yard pool so not only did we see garden, but pool, bunnies, ducks, other buildings you name it we saw it!

I want to wish everyone of my GF siblings a wonderful holiday no matter what you celebrate may it bring you joy, happiness and a little GF magic.

I like Conch Key...it's a smaller building... & my mom likes the Marina side...

TigrLvsPooh - as others have posted, it's tough to get a bad view at the GF. We love the location of Conch Key for its proximity to the courtyard pool, boat dock, marina and Gasparilla's, but Boca Chica and BPK are great, too. Our least favorite building is Sago Cay, as it feels a bit removed from the action, but many DISers like it for that very reason. Not to mention, it is quite close to the bus stop.

I hope you have a perfectly Grand trip. Love going that time of year. All the decorations up at the beginning and the crowds start to dissipate after the first. Are you going to the Candlelight Processional? Have fun!

The candlelight processional is still being performed the first two nights of the visit, so we are definitely going to see it. It is absolutely spectacular.

Just took all the Christmas decorations down , normally I would be sad...

I also promise to see what I can find out about the GF vacation club construction. Now that it has been announced maybe information may be more forthcoming.
