We stayed at Poly our last visit to Disney in 07, myself, DH, and 2 DS, and my parents. My parents are a tad nervous that they won't like the GF as much as the Poly. We had a great experience there but I have always wanted to stay at the GF and when we booked it was only like $100 or so more to stay at GF. Really couldn't pass this up.

We felt the same way about our July trip. As much as we love the Poly, we were not disappointed by the GF. It is a beautiful resort. I think I might like it more than the Poly! I never thought that I'd say that.

Oh that's awesome. To tell you that the GF spoils you for every other resort, my dd who just turned 10, doesn't want to stay anywhere else because her absolutely favorite thing is the turndown service, she rushes into the room at night and heads for the beds to see what's been done. Well that and Mickey bars.

I have a feeling this will be the ONLY place the Princess will want to stay. And her mommy

Funny how the time flies. We had such a good time last night. Finally it was cool outside. John Ondrasik, the lead singer, did an amazing job performing live. I think I got the concert bug again.

Heading to GF in just 38 days! Hope that the construction wall doesn't block walkway to Poly. If anyone hears that it does, I hope you will post it here, so we can all plan accordingly!

Question for you all. Have booked a Cabana for a 1/2 day to really take in the resort time. Do you get to pick what they stock the fridge with, or is it a mix of stuff?

Any other tips from past cabana renters at GF? Have done elsewhere, but never know how policies may change....

Our check out day, we are hitting the pool since we have a late evening flight. I know there are showers and a changing room by the pool. Are there lockers? We will keep our luggage with bell services, but I don't know that I want to keep my carry-on poolside. TIA for any info.

Hi everyone,

For anyone who has used the DME to get to the Grand, can you tell me how long I should plan it to take (I know that it can vary in time)? We fly in on a Friday morning, just before 10 a.m. This will be the first time we use it, and i'm not sure what to expect. Thanks for your help!

We have used the ME to the GF numerous times over the years. We take a flight from NJ that lands at 10:30 AM and are usually at the GF before noon. The variables are how long it takes to get off the plane (we are usually in front), are you getting your luggage yourself or letting ME get it (we get our own) and finally when you arrive at ME bus wait time. We have found the average wait time from getting into line at ME and leaving for WDW is around 15 minutes. The ME stops at the Polynesian before the GF.

In June we took the ME and were at the GF an hour after we touched down! The ME is a great service, we always feel good starting the vacation saving some money.

Getting frantic because there is so much to be done before you leave means the vacation is close!!! Good luck getting organized, so excited for you that you will be at the GF soon.
