k&a&c'smom- thanks for asking about my family. FIL is doing better. He and my MIL, married 63 years, just came back from Cancun!!! Dad is still a bit confused, but not bad for 86.

DD is off her crutches and is now without her ankle brace. As I said before, never a dull moment. I fell down the basement stairs today putting the central vac hose away. My feet got caught up in the hose and well, the rest is history. I have a nice bruise now. Can't sit without pain. Also, we have that "s" word mentioned in our forecast - yes - snow. I'm sure enjoying looking at all the GF pictures. Helps keep my mind off of things.

Keep all those pictures coming!!!!

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about your fall! That must have been really scary. Hopefully your bruising/pain does not last long! And what is this about snow?! Guess I should check the weather forecast more often...

I did it! We have booked a TPV concierge room for the Christmas parade taping weekend. I am so completely excited I can hardly wait.

Tell me how the concierge lounge works so I don't make a fool out of myself.

When we pull up with our car do we tell them we are staying in the main building?

So many questions!!!

How fantastic! Once you pull up to the guard, just give your name..they already know you are booked concierge, and they will meet your car as you pull up. (That's what happened when we pulled up at least) they will give you the lounge offerings schedule when you check in, you won't make a fool....and there are plenty of people ready to help you, so just ask if you need anything! Enjoy, sounds wonderful...

Yep we have snow for Halloween possibly But the temps are in the high 40s, we'll see....Stinks though! My Princesses will be chilly

I FINALLY got the TPV view today!!!! I have been calling everyday for eight months, I kid you not. I booked the garden view back in February and have been trying to get the theme park view ever since. I am soooooooooooo beyond excited. We stayed at the GF last November and the first thing my girls said when they stepped out on the balcony was we can't see anything. I had only booked the garden view and the year before we had theme park view at the CR. So I guess one could say they have been slightly spoiled by their views.

Should I make a building request, the only request I have right now is upper level?? We will probably never get to have TPV again especially after my hubby finds out how much it is

Congratulations on getting the TPV!!! You are going to really enjoy it. My DD and DS loved the fact that they could be in the room, in their pj's watching the fireworks at night from the balcony or even from their bed some nights!

Jungle Cruiser - LOVE your GF alcove! Yes, I do recognize the fabric, I so miss those old, whimsical rooms.

Great shot of the GF from Cali Grill - we love that view.

MAGIC...itis! - What a great upgrade! Sorry it had a sting attached, but I guess it was worth it in the end.

Ali - congrats on booking the main bldg. TPV! I think you will love it.

There seem to be photographers at all the deluxe resorts when the tree is up, at least when we were there last.

When you arrive at the gate, the security guard will let them know you are on your way up and a CL cast member should be there to greet you at the curb. If not, just head into the lobby and approach anyone at the desk - they will call a CL CM to come down.

The lounge is pretty simple, they will give you a list of service times and instructions (check out the list on the first page of this thread, post #3). The main rule is no bare feet, and you should have on clothing. Swim wear is OK, as long as you wear a cover up.

dukiephi - Welcome! Won't be long and you will be sharing the GF with your sister and family. Fun celebrating a birthday there with the little one.

glovergirls - YAY! Your persistence was rewarded, what a great feeling, huh?!

Many posters believe Sago Cay & Conch Key have the best TPVs, so you may want to request one of those buildings.

KC Mike - is that looking between SL and Conch? It looks like it, but I could have sworn there was a pathway there! Goes to show, your memory can play tricks.

OK, I am clueless.

And I just realized that whoever said several pages back about being more secluded in RPC and not getting out and about is right.
Never thought about it that way!
If we're not going to one of the pools, Gaspies, the boat or Narcoossee's, then we're in the main building. Gasp! Next trip I'm making a point of DISCOVERING all of the GF grounds!

Love your dirty little secret, Jungle Cruiser! I missed out on the pillows, I came so close to getting one of those yellow "Dream" pillows, or one with Alice & the teacups - but fiddled around and they were gone. I always forget I can have things shipped, phooey. BCV23 reminded me they had those needlepoint pillows, but by the time I was able to look, they were gone, too.~sigh~

Jungle Cruiser - well, I was trying to figure out where two buildings meet - with the fire stairs - and at first I thought it was the opposite of this photo between Boca Chica and BPK (photographer standing on grass, back to lagoon):

But there is a path there as well. Maybe it is taken at an angle that doesn't show the path? Looks like the pool house in between the photographer and the main bldg. KC Mike, you'll have to solve the mystery.

Thank you both I'm OK. Overdoing it a little. But down to 8 days until our quick weekend getaway. I'm trying to NOT obsess about the Grand. There is an RPC room available, but DH wants to try the Poly....plus promised my DD7 no Grand Floridian without her......enjoying all the pics

Just really looked at KCmike's picture closely again. k&a&c'smom, I think you are right. if you look closely, I think the picture was taken from so close to the ground that you can't see the path! That's what threw me off, when we stayed there last month I went out that door a few times, so I knew a path was there.
