In regard to the monorail issue, it definitely impacts GF guests more than those at any other monorail resort! I've read that the resort ferries have had ridiculously long lines after EMH and, as a result, guests are forced to consider not taking the resort ferry. While CR guests have the option of walking to their resort from the MK and Poly guests have the option of taking the much larger TTC boat and then walking to the Poly from there, GF guests only have the resort ferry as an option. If that ferry is too crowded, GF guests are forced to take the bus rather than another ferry/walking.

Doesn't seem to make much sense that guests at the "flagship" resort get the shaft in this situation.

We are big Poly fans. Been really busy lately and missed this announcement. What time is the monorail being shut down in the evenings? Thanks!

Not sure when it started but apparently it now stops one hour after regular park closing.

Have you ever photographed whatever is at the address of the Disney's Laugh-O-Grams studios in Kansas City?

On a driving trip through your area, I managed to visit Marceline Mo. but did not remember the the Laugh-O-Gram studio. I am still kicking myself because I don't think I will ever drive out that way again.

Please keep posting GF photos - hopefully I will return 'home' soon

Thanks for your very nice comments. No I have never photographed the Laugh-O-Grams studio. Can't say that I've ever driven by either. Sad isn't it. I need to search it out. Thanks again!

I agree. Here in Missouri it was Mid 80's and we haven't had rain in like 20 days. It sprinkled today though. A nice swim would have been nice. Thanks for the nice comments. Can't believe its October 10th now. This year is winding down. Where did it go? Hard to believe it was almost 5 months ago when we took our vacation celebration. Here is another photo to get the week started...

I booked our trip to Disney 10 months ago. It felt like it would never get here, and now we leave in 9 days. I'm happy October is here, because I cannot wait to see what you have so beautifully photographed in person, BUT, i know that when we come back home, it will be Nov. 1 and time to start getting ready for the holidays.

So much to do before we leave next week. I can't wait to be at the GF!!

Sooo I am coming after Thanksgiving with my Bounceback offer, and tried today to see if I could upgrade to CL....it's $337 for 4 nights. Not sure if I want to do it or not?? I have only stayed at Sugarloaf and want to go but feel that's too much for 4 nights.

Is there ANY way to try and score a free upgrade at check in?

By CL I guess you mean Main building, right? For Christmas season, if you can budget it, I would TOTALLY do it. We did Sugarloaf too, and the upgrade to RPC was MUCH more even with a discount. JMHO though

ITA with pas130! $337 for a 4 night upgrade to the RPC is a steal!
We usually pay a grand for a week to upgrade to the RPC and that's during the summer, so that's an extra $84.25 per night to be in the main building.
I wouldn't bat an eye. hehehe!

GO FOR IT! These rooms weren't available two weeks ago!

We left the GF a week ago and I already miss it. I have some tough medical issues to face in the upcoming months so I am happy to have this wonderful thread and KCMike's wonderful pictures to keep me going!

Lulu'smom it's great to see you posting! I know you have a surgery coming up, but just keep remembering your upcoming trip this spring!

Did people see the article that as of today apparently all the deluxe resorts will have free wifi?! That is exciting news!

Thoughts and prayers are on the way. No matter what the surgery might be I know that can weigh heavy on one's mind. I'll try to keep the pictures coming but I am quickly running out. I'm trying to slow down a bit on posting.

Look at post 1731. I posted pictures of the construction a couple of weeks ago. The construction is on the Polynesian side of the Main building, past the pool. It is no where near SL.

Mouseturtle - if, indeed, you are quoted less than $100/nt. to upgrade to RPC, I would take it! Not sure what category you have now, but RPC is wonderful and being in the main building is fun and convenient!

Free upgrades to CL at check in are few and far between; I've even had little success PAYING for an upgrade at check in, the rooms so often book in advance.

Jungle Cruiser - I had not heard that all deluxe resorts will now have free wifi, what a great addition! Thanks for the info.

KC Mike - Thanks for all the photos, you've been a champ! When you run out, the rest of us will have to step up, we've been relying on you lately.

The $337 was the quote for Sugar Loaf which is where we always stay...just not sure it's worth it this time?

Mouseturtle - oh, OK - gotcha! What room category do you have booked now? If it is garden or lagoon view, then an $84/nt. increase might be worth it. If you are in TPV, you may rather have the view and skip CL.

If there are more than two of you in the room, that makes it $28/person, or less, and the convenience of breakfast alone is worth it! On the other hand, with such a short trip, you may not spend much time in the room - in which case, paying extra might be a waste.

More details on the free wifi in deluxe resorts. I have a friend down there now and the word is they are "testing" free wifi. I would be shocked if it doesn't stay in place, why go to the effort and cost? Fingers crossed!
