The NEW DVC member website is up and running!!

Still can't do online check-in. I see my vacation on main page, click check-in online, enter confirm # and name and select resort and date of check-in and click continue...it takes me to my resie (but only shows 2 of 5 nights). I click begin check-in now and this message pops up:

As I feared, I'm no longer able to get into the site from here at work. We're way back on Internet Explorer 7 because of some compatibility issues with the older IT systems we use. This web site design doesn't work with our version of IE. Same with the new WDW site.

Thinking there may be something wrong with the site. I am on IE9 and cannot get into the site. It shows half a white screen and have to scroll over to even see the login. You would think they would have tested this before rolling it out.

Do you have the 'Compatibility View' enabled for DVCMember.com. I used to for the old site on IE9 and had to turn it off for the new version. I normally use Safari on Windows, but switched to IE9 to see what it did.

Is that an option in the site? I cannot even get into the site.

It's an option with IE9. On the address bar it looks like a torn sheet of paper (to the far right). If blue, it's enabled. You click it to turn it on or off for that website.

I never even knew about that (or if it was on or off). However, when I clicked it, it worked to let me in. Thanks!

I do not like the 800 number right on the first page. Anyone who gets to the website can now know MS's phone number.

Where is the link to RCI? Just had a few minutes to look around but could not readily identify the link.

I checked out the new website and was glad to see that the login page had my info pre-filled so I don't have to type it in every time. I thought it was cool to see my reservations and waitlist on the front page but several of my reservations were missing! One was for the first week in Dec. with BW view so I almost fainted. Checked my saved email to verify that I still had an email confirmation. Then I noticed a small link below the listed reservations on the homepage that I could click to see the rest of my reservation. What a relief.
Haven't tried to book anything. Hope the bugs are worked out quickly.
I was happy to see a "Sign out" link at the top of the page when I tried unsuccessfully to book a reservation (dates unavailable). In the past I had to navigate back to the search page to find a "Sign out" link.

IMHO It's much sleeker and easier to use!
:)

I believe the toll free number was on the sign on page of the old site also.

Across the top is a drop down titled 'My Vacations'. Under there are links to book DVC Resorts and RCI online.

I use Firefox and had no problem signing in. In fact, a waitlist that I have wasn't showing on the old site, and is now showing on the new site. :thumbsup2

However, I'm trying to get the countdown clock back, but AKV is not on the list of resorts to select for the countdown clock :( Oh well, that's not that important I have others LOL

I got into the site fine, but was unable to book a room. It just kept jumping me back to the same page.

I noticed that there is a modify/cancel reservation link on there now - but I was too scared to click on it for fear that I would accidentally cancel one of my reservations!

That just takes you to a 'Managing Reservations' information page. Nothing there but informational links.

I did check out the new site. I like it. I tried the points calculator and found it easier to use than the older one. It still will not let me check further than 11 months out though.

I got in okay but then I tried to do online check in. The site has frozen on the processing page. Hopefully they get the bugs worked out quickly but given the issues with the main site I'm not holding my breath.

Give them time to iron our the wrinkles, folks. They just flipped the switch this morning. If you have an urgent question that you can't find the answer to on the site, call MS.

At first glance, great. The home page shows my upcoming vacation (with a drop down menu to select from multiple memberships) and it also show my wait list for the upcoming vacation.

The points are not correct. It show 100 points available in a 2012 use year that should not be there. If I click on the arrow for more details, the correct numbers show.

~ David

I had exactly the same thing -- the front page shows 100 points available for 2012, when I have none. :(

I'm using IE7 and can't sign in. Totally useless.... Do the tools at the IT department just roll changes out without testing!
