I'm so sorry to hear that people have been having bad experiences at Contempo Cafe. We were there over Christmas and found the staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant. One night my husband asked for parmesan cheese for his flatbread and they couldn't find any. He said that was okay, and went and sat down. About five minutes later, a CM came out to the dining room to find us with a container of parmesan cheese. She'd looked 'til she found it and brought the very generous helping to my dh (we even saved it in our room fridge for later in the week). We thought that was above-and-beyond service.

In fact, we found all the CMs to be very helpful and friendly. It's disappointing to hear that others' experiences weren't as pleasant as ours.

Oh, and we also found the food to be very good (but we do like very simple food) -- we loved the flatbread, salads and cheeseburgers. The only thing that didn't get a passing grade was the roast beef sandwich. My husband couldn't even finish it, the bread was so soggy. Other than that, it was thumbs-up from us. We ate there every day of the trip.

One of the Cast Members from the Contempo Cafe statred talking to me about my hat because he like the company that made it, then we started talking about Hockey because I was wearing Toronto Maple Leafs hat so he wanted to know how they were doing? Later on when my family and I were leaving he said I hope you all have a good night, which was very nice of him.

I have also said a few times my favorite item was the Chicken Caesar Salad with the dressing already inside and it happens to be the best Chicken Caesar Salad I have ever had in my life. I also liked the 6 Ounce Angus Cheeseburger with cheddar cheese and the Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza.

Finally just like with every dining location at WDW some guests will have great experiences with the food and Cast Members, where as some guests will not have good experiences.

The computer thing seriously disappoints me. And it was one of the things that sold the hubby.

WE are booked 4/4 -4/11/09 in a Garden Wing Garden View Room (the only type available when we booked).

Is there a request we should make in terms of room location? This will be our 1st CR stay. I'd like decently quiet at night and proximity to walking trail to MK. Is that possible in this room category?

The Garden Wing is on the other side of the Tower from the walking trail. You could ask for a room closest to the Tower to shorten the walk.

Wow!! Those pictures are wonderful!! Hubby and I LOVE to hang out at the Outer Rim!! I can't wait to see all the new changes in person!!

We will be staying at Old Key West in April. We purchased DVC points from a dear friend at OKW....with the intent of using them eventually at the BLT. We will see how the reservation system works at 7 months, and if it seems impossible to book then we may have to rethink and maybe sell and repurchase. I really hope it works out! Old Key West is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...but my heart aches for the Contemporary (I KNOW all you CR addicts understand how I feel)!LOL!!

I do have another question about the pictures I saw at the BLT. I never noticed before...does it look like there's another one or two story building attached to the other side of the BLT (where the tennis courts used to be roughly)? Anybody else notice?

Ok, everyone staying at the Contemporary for the first time next week! Is the walkway to MK hard to find? They don't really advertise it too much.

Leaving the front door of the Contemporary, just walk toward the right, passing the new BLT which will be on your right. Stay to the right of the guard house. Walk straight ahead, across the road and you will be on the walkway to the right of all the busses coming into the Magic Kingdom.

Ok, everyone staying at the Contemporary for the first time next week! Is the walkway to MK hard to find? They don't really advertise it too much.

It's very easy to find. Just walk out towards the bus station and right next to it you will see the signs that say walkway to the Magic Kingdom.

We were booked at OKW for 5 nites in April....but really need our CR fix. Just called Disney and was able to get a Tower MK view room for our last 2 nites!!!!
