The NEW Disney's Contemporary Resort FAQ with PICTURES! (Feb 2008)

Do you know if they will be opening up the Concourse Steak House in the future? We stayed at CR in Aug 07 and loved the food from the Steak House. We are going back in Aug 09 and hoped to have some of our favorites. Will that be possible?

The Concourse Steakhouse closed a few months ago and will not be coming back. In it's place they now have The Wave which is located in the lobby and on the 4th floor where the Concourse Steakhouse use to be located will be the Contemporary's brand new counter service location.

Hopefully the construction on the 4th floor will be finished sometime in September or October.

You're welcome and I would say it's a very good chance that it will be completed by December.

We just arrived from the CR and our stay there was just wonderful. We had a room with a view of the castle, my daugther had a blast there. I think that there is still some work to do on chef mickey express. Every morning the workers started like around 10 am and by 5pm they were all done. Inside the room I never heard any noise at all. Chef Mickey breakfast was good as always and the resort CM were very helpfull the only thing that I think that need to renovated is the pool and the grounds around it. The look of the new renovated lobby is beautiful and the grounds in front of the hotels are very nice. I'll be posting pics tomorrow!!!!

If anyone is going to the CR soon and are willing to chceck out the new Tower DVC being buildt -

Could you please find out if the new DVC Tower being buildt next to the CR Tower also is having a new pool buildt ?

Could you also please ask if there would also be a path from the CR Tower or CR Wing on the ground level (Bay Lake elevation) to be able to use the DVC new pool(s) ?

I am going to be checking into the Contemporary later today and I will do my best to find out whatever information I can.

However what I can say is there are building a walkway from 4th floor in the Tower to the Bay Lake Tower building.
