The new Cricut carts

Boy, I am glad I'm on the Ban wagon - none of these carts catch my interest so it will be easy to pass them up. I m looking forward to Feb 29th though.

A website has the new arrivals listed. No pics though. But the talk on the cricut board is that, except the pooh carts, the rest of the new ones are mini cartridges. Think more like the walmart keystone cart or accent essentials which have less creative features. They might cost less though.

Anyway the themes are:

How disappointing. I was hoping for one to have hockey on it. I have some baseball, but mostly hockey. Oh well. The camping one and Indie Art could be interesting. Definitely going to get the two Pooh cartridges!!! The font is soooo cute and I can't wait to make GRAY Eeyores!!!!

Oh no! There are three that I'm going to have to have. Camping, Pooh & Friends (if Tigger is on there) and Pooh Font. If we are vacationing and we aren't at Disney, we are camping and Tigger is my absolute all time favorite character.

Yep. If you go to THIS THREAD on the Cricut board, it has photos of the backs of both Pooh Cartridges.

Home Accents looks a lot like Accent Essentials. Sort of disappointed with the baseball one. The camping one looks interesting. Still not sure exactly what Indie Art is. Overall I'm not impressed, which is good since it means I won't be spending money on them!

Well as usual I like all of them- I am such a sucker! I like the new font, hadn't heard anything about it.

Indie Art seems like Hot Topic, pop culture stuff. Some of them look interesting but some seem just weird. Looking again, they remind me of logos for rock bands.

I really like the Home Accents and the Camping one. I wasn't sure I needed the camping one, but it looks like a lot would work for Frontierland/Wilderness Lodge/Ft. Wilderness stuff. The wedding one, I'm only "eh" on. I think I really like the font. The sports ones don't do anything for me.

So that is 3 yes, 2 probably (the Pooh ones), and a "maybe" on the wedding. Ugh, where is the ban thread.

I was just going to post the link but Yzerbear got here first...

I'm not really thrilled, I can wait til some of them clearance but that is just me.... I do like the soccer one..but my kids are soccer kids and we play twice (fall/spring) a year and tournaments so I will get a lot of use from it...

The font was cute though... I may consider that one w/ the soccer...but we shall see...

So Indie Art stands for Independent Art? Isn't that what that kind of artwork is called?
I can pass on most of them. The Font looks interesting and Camping, along with the two Pooh's and that is all I'm needing at this time.

ok i'm good! i think i like the font and the camping one. i like the soccer but not lovin' it. oh and i love the pooh one. i thought i would love them all and i don't. thank goodness!

Some one on that thread commented about the curly q's on the home accent. I don't have much luck with anything that it too circley with any of my carts.

I'm seriously liking the font. That and the Pooh ones are the only ones I could see myself using.

Indie arts confused me and there is better camping stuff on the Going Places cart.

Thanks for posting the link. I think I am in for the new font. Maybe the Pooh cart, and are those baby pooh creatures on the font cart? I am interested in seeing what the street signs cart is too. The others are a no. I do like Hope's idea about the camping cart though.

Am I just not getting something or do I see a grenade on Indie Art? And is that a mushroom cloud? What on earth kind of scrapbook pages would those go on????

That grenade and mushroom cloud are certainly elegant as is the Parental Advisory. Hello? What were they thinking?

That's exactly what I was thinking. yep I'm gonna run right out and put a mushroom cloud on my kids scrapbook, NOT!
I will buy Pooh and maybe the Stone Script but honestly I can get better pics for sports and camping from clipart then what PC has to offer.

There is a high school in Richland, WA that uses a mushroom cloud as their school's logo. It is the school that the children of the people that work at the Hanford nuclear site would attend, and they adopted the icon that most represented their locale.

More generally though, not everyone scraps for cute, young children. Teenage boys, clubs and music...these images are part of some people's "scenes."

I don't. And my boys are still young enough to not be into any "scene" yet. I like that ProvoCraft was willing to go out on a limb for some of what we may consider iffy. That means they just might make that Disney Villians cart.

& maybe the stonescript one....I didn't buy cursive....a friend did....so if I bought this one we'd have 2 writing kind...

Not impressed with soccer at all! Might have to wait & see what else it does, the box says 50 images....so maybe there is hope?
