Where are the hot tubs at CSR?

If I understand correctly it is best to be close to bus stop 2 as they are the first picked up and bus stop 1 is the last to be picked up. Correct? But I would also like to be fairly close to the Pepper Court and the Mayan Grill, so which would be the best area to request to make sure you get a seat on the bus and proximity to restaraunts? I was thinking maybe Casitas 3? Thanks!

The hot tub (only one) is located at the main pool area in the corner near the volleyball court and bar.

I've stayed at CSR in April, May, July, October and November and never had to worry about which bus stop I took. Never had to stand on a bus except coming back from MGM after Fantasmic or Downtown Disney. I wouldn't worry about that. But yes, bus stop #2 is first. Casitas 2 would be in the middle between the main building and bus stop #2. Parts of 3 are closer to the main building and half runs parallel with casita 2.

We stayed in Casitas 3227 in June and found the location to the main building, the food court and bus stop 1 to be great. I would not hesitate to stay in that building again. The view was wonderful, could even see the fireworks. Had a short walk to the quiet pool and laundry. Could have used bus stop 2 but found 1 much more convenient, we could then cut through the main building stopping at the gift shop to pick up packages or the food court. The walk to the main pool was very long but could have taken a ride on the golf carts. That did not matter because we only used that pool once, the quiet pool was just fine with us, especially while doing the laundry.

Thanks everyone for your quick replies.
Do you know if they have a fridge in the room??
And if so, where's the nearest microwave?

Do they charge extra for the refrigerators by any chance or are those just included in the cost of the room now or what? I read on another site that they were $10.60 per day but that info. may have been old. And let me get this straight...EVERY room has a fridge, right? So I don't have to request one? I am going to have a 1 year old with me and will definitely need a fridge!

I have never stayed at CSR and after looking at all of the pictures on the different web sites and reading about it here, I think I am in love! I was going to split our next stay between POFQ and POP but now I am going to split it between CSR and POP. I think my dh will also be in love with this resort. I can't wait for him to get home and look at some of the pics with me. Oh, and for the poster who asked about which moderate to stay at? The only one I have ever stayed at is CBR and I HATED it!!! We stayed there May 2004. Absolutely the worst resort we have stayed at! I will never stay there again. I liked the values better than the CBR. And I would shell out the extra cash for a deluxe resort if the values and other mods were all booked before I'd ever stay at CBR again. But that's JMO, of course! ;)

Included in the room cost now and every room has a fridge, no requesting needed.

3 and 4 are approx .35 miles away from the Dig Site.

It's a pretty long walk from 3 & 4. We stayed in 3, lake view in June, you can use the transportation provided by the resort to get to the dig site. We had booked a standard room and were very happy that we received a beautiful view. Because of the convenience to the main building and peppers market, which you will be heading to more often then the dig site, 3 was just about perfect.

It's about .35 miles away. Seems longer than it is.

DS and I got back about a week or so ago. We loved CSR as always. We found it particularly good when I got very, very sick on the Saturday and Sunday we were there. DS 10 went to the front desk and told them I was sick. They gave him the number for Centra care, which he called. They picked me up in a van and got me fixed up, then drove me back. I was completely out of it because of the medication they gave me. The CMs brought me crackers when I could eat again, and came to check on DS to be sure we were doing o.k. a few times (he told me later he kept tipping the CMs which I thought was pretty funny since I believe they were managers--certainly a non-tipped position)!

Anyhow, go CSR! We'll be back again!

Thanks for the info. on the fridge! That's a nice bonus! And thanks for your wonderful website! That's part of the reason I want to go there so much now. And I showed it to dh last night and now he is really excited to stay there as well. We will be making reservations next week! I can't wait. I am so excited! Too bad our trip is still 8 months from Sun.! :guilty: Oh, well, I know it doesn't seem like it right now but it'll fly by and at least it gives us time to save some extra money. ;)

Welcome back and sorry to hear about you getting sick. Never fun to be sick let alone when you're on vacation. Hope you're feeling better.

Not a problem. That's exactly why I created the site. CSR use to get such a bad rap from guests that never stayed there or saw it. Not anymore! Have a great trip! Our return is 7 months away. I can't wait!!

Casita 3 is long so if you are in the part closer to the main building, it is a quick walk to the back door of El Centro. That is where the main shuttle stop is located. If you are closer to the quiet pool and casita 4, it is a bit further. From casita 4, you may just want to walk to the Dig Site. When we were there in April 2005, the shuttles were relatively quick and they had many of them running at the same time. You can pictures of the signage and carts used on my website below. Don't stress about it too much. The walks really are not that bad at all.

Hi I can't wait for Oct my first onsite stay... At CSR Im so excited.
Buzz Thank-you for all the great info. My question is Should we request a closer building to food court because of my DD (5)? or do you think it does not matter. My hubby and I really don't mind the walking:) :goodvibes

Thanks KT :wave2:

Cabana 8a, 8b or 9b are great spots. Casita 3 is close. Other than that they do have the internal shuttles if you don't feel like walking.

Stupid question probably, but how fast do the shuttles go. I'd be walking, but my mom will be in an ECV. If I caught a shuttle would she be able to keep up in her ECV? I don't mind walking normally, but am afraid we might be stuck out in the Ranchos, which looks like a long walk back to the main buildings. I want to run over to the dig site one day just to get some pictures, but my mom doesn't swim, so we'd probably never use the pool. I'm more interested in being close to a bus stop and the main buildings.
