Any help for this guest?

No help but interested in the answer as we'll be there in less than a month.

Another topic for Buzz!

I know at the Deluxes you can order specialty desserts like tuxedo strawberries,Cinderella's slipper etc. I was wondering since Coronado has a partial room service menu and they cater to Conventions can a guest order such desserts from Coronado?
Thanks for any help!

I found my menu! You can get chocolate covered strawberries, cookies & cream, int'l fruit & cheese basket and a refillable mug with assorted candy.

I found this so far

I called Pepper Market yesterday and spoke with one of the managers about any potential "selection parameters" that might have recently been put in place. His explanation about the breakfast choices pretty much confirmed Winnie's description (but, IMO, dining plan cs breakfast offerings at most of the participating venues come across as rather limited when compared to non-breakfast offerings at same places....). He also told me that at any other time of dining, there are no restrictions, and, yes, you can get that grilled rib-eye! However, he said that dessert choices are "limited to a cookie or muffin, because that is all that Disney allows on cs"--this is the one thing I find a little hard to believe as accurate, and certainly peculiar given that the $ entree item isn't restricted! Also haven't read any trip reports from Dis'ers indicating dessert restrictions at other cs venues, so go figure. Best bet is just to ask the server at the PM dessert station and go with that response-of-the-moment (IMO, cs dessert not worth making an issue over).TT

Hi, I just found this forum a yesterday, IT IT SO GREAT! We are staying at CSR Sept 30-OCt 10...i am so excited! We fopped back and forth between CBR and CS....SEVERAL TIMES!

I have a question about the lifevests? Do they charge for the use of them? My kids are 2, 4 and 6...the six year old can swim, but the 2 and 4 yr olds still wear their speedo vests. I hate to bring them, with all the other junk we have to bring!

also, I will have to do laundry while we are there, 5 people times 10 days....two outfits a day? I don;t think we own that much luggage :goodvibes . Where are the washers and dryers located? how much is the laundry service that they provide? i have heard $5 a shirt, $2 socks???? OUCH...

this forum has been so great.

I would also like to know about using the CS credits for pepper Market. one of the reasons we switched to this resort was becasue of the variety...

thanks

We didn't use the laundry (we were there for 2 weeks - brought stuff past its sell-by, threw it away as worn and bought new at the malls  ).

Lifevests are in big hoppers (like dumpsters without wheels) - just help yourselves to the size you need. Towels are also plentiful, and sometimes we took spares back to the room rather than wait for mousekeeping to deliver extras (on the rare occasion we didn't have enough - although it turned out we hadn't noticed a shelf with the overflow, we expected them all to be in the bathroom :teeth: )

Hello all. We are now planning on going to CSR beginning of April 2006. A waterview is $184 more for 7 nights. Is this worth it in your opinion? :confused3

Thanks again Buzz for all your input and your outstanding website! It provided so much more than the "official" one! ::MickeyMo

I don't think it's worth it, teacher05. There are plenty of great views available with standard rooms. Just be sure to request a view other than the parking lot and you should be fine--the grounds at CSR are beautiful no matter where you are.

thanks MazdaUK for the info on the lifevests...saves a little room in the luggage!

now, to my other questtion. where are the washer/dryers located on the property?

thanks for the info, this thread has relieved alot of my tension

Welcome wlweems! The washers & dryers are located at the quiet pools. We especially like to use the cabana laundry, as we can enjoy both the hammocks near the water or the very warm pool. I believe the machines took $2.00 each. Don't remember how much the soap cost.

Correct! $2.00 each and they also have a double loader for the same price. The Bounce, Biz, Cheer, Downy or Tide packets are $1.00 each, your choice.

pictures of the casita laudry room on my website below. you need your room key to enter the laundry.

Teacher05, wouldn't pay extra for the view. We were in cabanas and could sort of see water (but a bit behind the building rather than the main lake!) but quite honestly the net curtains are quite thick so you can't see it that clearly anyway.

wlweems, if you have landry detergents in tablet or sachet form why not just put a few "portions" from your home supply in a ziplock bag and spen the saved $ on a :mickeybar :wave2:

thank you all for the information.....looks like i will definately have to do laundry...which is what i am doing right now! seems like i can never get caught up!!

39 days and counting!!

September 30-Oct 10th!!! :cheer2:

Just booked Coronado Springs for early December! We've been there before and loved it so much. It's definately our favorite of the moderate resorts. My only concern is that the southwest theme (which we love) wouldn't feel very "Christmassy". Does anybody know where we can find any pictures of CSR decked out for the holidays?

Hi Gem!
DH and I will be at CSR Oct 13-24.....I'll be thinking of you. Still have fond memories of our wonderful DIS meet and the Illuminations Cruise. I can still picture one of the TON "puppets" crossing the international bridge just above us.

Oh, that is so sweet of you! I still think about that, too, everytime I see your screen name. That was such a fun evening - one of the true highlights out of our many Disney trips. I can't believe it was . . . what . . .5 years ago?? I wish we were going to be there at the same time again. Oh, well. Enjoy CSR! We love it there!
