Yes there is a mini dorm sized fridge in the room. There is a bus to Typhoon Lagoon but it also stops at Downtown Disney.
Thanks for the fast reply. Also is casitas building a smoking or non smoking building?

I'm over the moon! Our hotel is paid in full! Coronado Springs, here we come. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

And Buzz, you rock.

ITA! I just paid for our CSR room Free Dining package yesterday IN FULL. And yes, Buzz does indeed rock as well as epcotfan :cool1:. Thanks so much to both of you and everyone else who has contributed to this thread!

I just booked my room again for next year. Something to look forward to...

I can't wait until I can say it is paid off.

Thanks for the feedback about the website everyone! I'm glad guests enjoy it and that it has help some make a decision to stay at CSR.

Based on the sites and info from Buzz and Epcotfan...I booked (they let me do the booking as I'm the expert...LOL) my favorite client at CSR. They are getting 2 standard rooms and have 3 girls 12,10,9 so swimming is an important feature. Is it possible to get a standard room at Cabanas 9a or 9b or is there a different area I should request where they will be fairly near the pool.

Thanks..

Yes, it is possible to get a cabana room in 8a, 8b or 9a (remember, 9a is smoking optional). 9b is more difficult but anything is possible. Cabana 8a is closest to the pool and bus stop #4, then cabana 8b and rancho 7b.

My BF and I decided we want to request the Cabanas section (we leave in a week and a half!!!). Can we request any section EXCEPT 9a (not into the smoke). Will that be easier to honor than if I just request a specific section??? :confused3

yes, you can request any section you wish. I've stay in all three. With the new shuttle service, the distance is no longer an issue.

Hi, my boyfriend and I are about to book a trip and we want to stay at CSR.... can you request a certain building when you book or do you have to fax a room request later. Thanks!

both, make the request at the time of booking and then follow allearsnet instruction on the link below

Casitas, Ranchos or cabanas? I am primarily interested in being close to the bus stops, places serving alcohol (for my boyfriend!) and just nice scenery. I don't plan on using the pools that much because I think we will be at the parks or at DTD most of the time. Thanks!

Depends what you are looking for

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge. Most preferred location.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. Some rooms within steps of the Dig Site.

Cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. cabana 9a has a quiet pool. cabana 9a also has smoking optional rooms so make sure you are clear as to what you will accept.

Cabana rooms are mostly waterview rooms or non parking lot views.

Rancho 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a. rancho 6b is also fairly close to the main pool area.

Casita 4 is close to the gym, spa and has quiet pool. THe casitas have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

Exactly how difficult is it to get Cabana 9b??? We are arriving at MCO at 10:45 am prob check in by 12:30-1. If I fax over my request the day before will I be able to get Cabana 9b? Should I have a 2nd choice just incase???

It's the luck of the draw. I've asked for it 3 times and have gotten it twice.

Follow allearsnet.com instructions for faxing requests

I just called and requested Cabana 9b building!! I hope we get it! It's our first visit, so anything will be magical!!

I have a question - what time does Siesta's (the pool bar) stop serving snacks/food and what time do they close all together. I am getting conflicting answers. Some say 5pm, some say 7pm and some say 10-11pm?? :confused3

All of the above. I've been there when it has closed at all those times. It depends on the time of year and how busy the resort is. The usual time is 6:00pm though.

I know CSR is a big resort by looking at the map and reading all your folks comments, etc. However, I can't tell if there is designated parking by each of the three "main" areas? We are taking a rental care so I wanted to be able to park close to where our room would be.

Also, within the main area's for the CSR are their shuttle stops for spread out for transportation to the parks, etc? (not talking about the internal shuttles used for CSR).

And finally do the internal shuttles come often? I just can't imagine having to walk all the time with a 2 year old, etc. so I am hoping that the internal shuttles come often, etc.

Thanks in advance!

We just returned from CSR - 6 nights there and part of it for a conference. The resort grounds are beautiful and we liked Pepper Market for the most part. I requested 9b but we were but in Casita (spelling?) 3 - so we were close to the main bldg - thank goodness! I can't imagine being on the other side of that gigantic lake and having to walk to the Pepper Market with 2 little kids - ugh!

I didn't find that the internal shuttles ran all that often. Most of the ones that passed us were full when we wanted a ride. We rode on them twice in 6 days I think. We also had a waterview room booked and had a very lovely view....of a TREE! I can honestly say you couldn't see a bit of water out the window but you could see a very large leafy tree top! They really shouldn't sell those rooms as water-view. We checked in at 4 a.m. (long story- delayed flight) so I didn't notice until the next morning when we were half-unpacked with stuff all over (we have 2 young kids). I didn't want to move at that point. I shouldn't have to move! Who wants to move? I just wanted what I paid for - that was annoying but I figured if I moved I'd end up at the farthest possible point from the main building :earboy2:

CSR = a nice resort, lovely grounds, great convention center, good food but just too big and not enough shuttle service for us I think!

Yes, there are parking areas next to each village.

CSR has 4 bus stops, one in each village and one at the main building.

I found that they did run often. If they are not often enough for you liking, you can also use the buses to get to and from the main building.

Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.
