are refrigerators now standard in all rooms at CSR? I'd love to stay in the Cabanas from what I've read, but am wondering it it's noisy from the Dig Site...at least at night I like it quiet..... so I can get my beauty sleep!
Out of all the times I stayed at CSR, I've only been woken up once. One time we were in cabana 8a, the company that was there for a convention had ordered a special fireworks show. CSR had there own fireworks around 11:00pm. It woke me up so I got to see the show but my family slept through it.

I was wondering if the buildings have elevators? Just wondering if they don't then Iw ill try and request a first floor room for my stay.

Thanks!

When exiting the 4 major parks and heading towards the Disney buses to return back to the resort, where in the order of resorts are the buses lines for Coronado? At the beginning, in the middle, at the end? How long of a walk is it to the bus after leaving the parks? Thanks!!!

Bus distance varies from park to park. MK, Epcot, and AK aren't too bad (compared to other resorts) a walk from the park exits. However MGM probably has the furthest walk.

We are planning a trip Dec 17-23 with another family. Are the pools warm enough during this time of year?
Any input about this resort especially for first timers would be great! :cool1:

Wanted to bump this question...we'll be down there the same time (Dec 16- 22nd...first trip with DS who will be turning 3 while down there WOOWOO). Any comments on swimming this time of the year?

Thanks in advance!

Chris

I have read in this thread that the 2 restauarants at CSR do not accept the Magic Your Way Meal Plan. I noticed that they were not on the list of accepted restaurants, so I decided to call Disney to find out before reserving. The CM said that both restaurants were included. She even put me on hold to verify. She mentioned that this was just an oversite that it wasn't listed. After getting off the phone I fealt reassured and proceeded to make my reservations for Dec 23-30, 2005. Now after reading this thread I am feeling as if I may have been lied to. Any suggestions? I really do not want to change my reservations to a different resort, but I really like the idea of the meal plan.

On the good side only 278 days till my sons first ::MickeyMo disney world experience.

Hey Buzz!! I just booked CSR for 3nites in July, couldn't get the whole 6, must be busy. DH and I are very happy, we had booked and then were upgraded to AKL due to an error for April. This will also be our first trip w/o children. CSR 3 and Dolphin 3 at Nurse rate. Bought my first AP so hoping to save when the July rates come out. Again, love your thread. :flower3:

Have a great trip! Keep trying. Some rroms may free up if they get any cancellations.

After reading Buzz's website we are going to stay at CSR, I have
never had a desire to until I ready all about it. My question is
does it work to fax a room request? I don't want to stay in
the Rancheros section. Also, when you eat at the pepper
market, I read that the waiters get your drinks, how does
this work if you have the refillable mugs? You order and
pick up your own food right? I'm trying to figure out why
you pay the 10% gratituity on your bill. thanks. :wave2:

ps: just booked a last minute trip to CSR for April 2005.

I faxed a request about 2 weeks before our arrival (we stayed elsewhere first) and we got exactly what we wanted :goodvibes .
Sometimes we filled our own refillable mugs, sometimes the waiters took them.
We used a few Q&C vouchers and most of the waiters were really helpful. We did have one, however, who seemed to look at the voucher and disappeared, never to be seen again at our table!

Hi beehive123 from one fellow CT'er to another. I've read conflicting stories on the boards about whether or not to send a fax request. I always have in the past so I can't tell you oneway or another if they still work or not. Visit the Allears.net section on fax requests.

The servers at the Pepper Market get your drinks, clear your table, get refills and bring you condiments. They will fill your refillable mugs too. We use them. It is very similar setup as a chinese buffet. I always tip the waiters/waitresses from those restaurants so I look at it the same way. It is not a big deal to me.

My travel agent just stayed there and the Maya Grill and the Pepper Market are a part of the plan. We are staying there when we go! Can't wait!

Have fun!

I faxed at the end of Jan 2005 and it worked for us :cool1:
We stayed in 9B, after requesting it on the recommendation of other DIS members, for it's proximity to most things.
It was just what we wanted. :goodvibes

We are Disney veterans and DVC owners who will be staying at CS for the first time with a sizable convention the last week of June. We have never stayed at a moderate before and doing so in the heat is NOT something that thrills me( except it is Disney). Any recommendations for rooms in the Castitas that are close to everything? I am NOT good with heat and am a little worried about the size of this resort. We come to Disney at least twice a year so I don't have a big agenda for the parks. I have stayed at the Dolphin before in the Summer. I hear the Dolphin has a large convention too at the same time. I usually avoid convention people like the plague but this time we are one of them

Buzz..

We have requested thru our travel agent to put us in Cabanas 9B?? What do you think?
9b is the best because of its location but very difficult to get. Any of the cabanas are go though so don't let not getting 9b spoil your trip.
