Anyone familiar with Ranchos 7B? My requests are 7B/quiet room. I also have a water view booking. Looking at the resort map on allears it looks like there aren't any waterview rooms in this building; the dig site is in the way of the lake unless they consider the pool (digsite or quiet) as a water view or the pond across the street is a water view(?). Is there waterview rooms in 7B and where do you think our room will be? I really like the theming of the Ranchos but don't want to be too far away from everything.

Thanks, Calie
Cabana 7b has a quiet pool so those rooms are considered waterview. Pics on my website of cabana 7b

Thanks Buzz, I didn't really even want a waterview but that's what had the discount just want to be in Ranchos 7b cause I fell in love with the theming and like the location so close to both pools. From what I hear this building isn't in high demand so hoping I can get it.

HELP! I decided to go with CSR and went in to the WDW website and now I am unable to book a standard room for June 9-16 of next year. Only jr-suites and up are available. Any suggestions? :confused3 Should I call and book at another resort and keep checking the website and try and switch if something shows available? :sad2: HELP!!! After all your great comments I really want to stay there!
:worried:

I just checked our CSR availability for Spring Break, April 1-8. I show I can book a standard room then, for about $200 more than the standard was in June. (I also checked google and see there are several conventions in June-one being a large collegiate athletic organization.)

Can any of you experienced World travelers offer your input on Spring Break travel to the World? I have only been there in October, January and February and it was great at those times. What is your opinion of Spring Break travel compared to early June?

I appreciate the thoughts and ideas of everyone on this forum. You are all so very helpful!!
Thanks,
Shelly :earseek:

We have a standard double room booked and have just bought a great Coleman twin size double thickness airbed and would like to take it with us for DD to sleep on so we can all have our own beds. She's already given it a test run at home and it got a big thumbs up :cool1: . Is there room between one bed and wall next to the bathroom? Or any other suggestions of where we could put it so it would be out of the way? TIA  Just trying to get things straight in my mind before we get there. I'd hate to lug that thing on an airplane then find out it didn't fit in the room. Otherwise, she may be sleeping on the hammocks :rotfl:

Call CRO and keep calling back. June is a long way off. Sometimes they hold blocks of rooms for a ceonvention and release them once the deadline for booking rooms passes.

We were there last year for spring break and it was no where as bad as I thought it was going to be. We will be going for spring break again this year.

Plenty of room between the bed and the bathroom wall or maybe even in the closet.

Spring break is CRAZY! That's the only comment I have on that. :earseek:

But I did want to comment on the "large collegiate athletic Organization" for June....
It is HUGE!! they have it every year. From what I've been told....They usually arrive around the 15th. and it will actually last about 2 weeks with different groups coming during that time.
Most of them are booked at CSR. But this year we ran into a few guys that had to be put in POR because CSR was over-booked.
When we were there this year (June 12 - 21) they were so booked up we ended up WAY....and I mean WAY in the back.... as far as you can get away from El Centro.
We had made our original ressies back in January, so that was how we got in CSR.
The good part....they are all in meetings all day, so buses are empty and the pools for the most part also empty.

As far as Spring Break vs. early June..... IMHO.... go in June. It will be hotter, but much less crowded.

We go at that time of year a lot!! it works best for us and I don't think the crowds are that bad yet.
We are planning the same time next year, but it won't be at CSR....
I love that resort.... but want to try for BW or CR. :goodvibes

Well, now I am not sure which to choose. June with a HUGE convention and heat or the crowds of Spring Break during the first week in April. Buzz and Cindyfan, thanks for your input. What do the rest of you "Worldly" people think? It will be my hubby, 7 and 9 y/o sons and myself going. We will take advantage of early entry and map out our park visits via the "Unofficial Guide," hopefully enabling us to be done with the parks and poolside in the afternoon.

Thanks!!!!
Shelly

I have a quick question about the health club.

Is there a charge for the health club? I've read that it is free, and I have also read that there is a daily charge. Which one is it?

Thanks Buzz...knew I could count on you. You should be getting paid by Disney as their official spokesperson for CSR. You're awsome!

Ok, Buzz, what DON'T you know about CSR?

With all the walking, I may not get to the health club. But its nice to know what is available if I get up early and decide to do it.

Not too many things. I try to keep up with everything to help out other DIS'ers.

I have a few pics on my website of the health club.

I'm joining the dance! I finally hit the double digits yesterday. Only 98 days until my stay at CSR! I can't wait. Squeeeee!
