I've been meaning to post this for a week.. Inside the Magic.com has a new 20 minute walkaround video of Coronado that you can watch online or download for viewing later. There is little to no talking in the video so it is very quiet but I loved it as we are going there in Dec for the first time and I was able to "see" the resort instead of just looking at pictures.

Thanks! You guys are the best!

This is my luck this week...I called CRO last night to switch and they're telling me that only suites are available. Even if I move around the dates, nada. CM said that ALMOST ALL the moderates were booked solid because of both Jersey week and the 40% off coupon (which I didn't get) that's valid for check in through Saturday, 11/3.

I'll keep trying maybe someone will cancel.

Everybody have a great weekend!

What are your dates? I called a few days ago just to add a day (8/9) to my stay (8/10-8/17), and was told they were totally booked and I couldn't do it! I'll have my AAA agent keep checking for me. So shocked......wasn't expecting it to be THAT crowded! :sad2:

I apologize for asking this if it has already been asked, but which buildings are the preferred buildings? We hope to be near the Dig Site, so we paid for water view...... thanks!

No preferred buildings at CSR.

But here are some good choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

With the top link, I just click on it and when I see the picture of "inside the magic", I click the start button.

RATS!!! The first one shows just a blank screen when I click on it, and the second one never loads. I must not have the right program to run it. RATS RATS RATS!!!!

We stayed at CSR two years ago in August and the transportation was excellent. We never stood on the bus going or coming from the parks and the buses never were all that crowded. Does this still hold true?

Those who can't get the videos are you using Firefox?? If so try it in Explorer. You can also go to Itunes, podcasts, search for inside the magic and watch it there.

I viewed it watching Firefox, no problem.

I'm sorry ahead of time. I know I've seen this in this thread but I can't find it again. What are the handicap accessible rooms like? I know some have the roll in showers, but I'm trying to figure out what all the differences would be. Are the beds that much lower? We would like a king room, but I've heard that a large amount of them are handicap accessible and do not really know what that is.

Sorry this is so late. We're not going until November. Maybe a lot of people booked during August & September hoping for free dining again. Keep calling; that's what I'm going to do. People cancel everyday.

Good luck! :goodvibes

The handicapped accessable rooms are great. They are configured a little differently and yes, the beds are lower by about four inches. It worked out great for my mother who is only 4'11" and had a heck of a time getting into the beds at GF in the handicapped room which were regular queen size beds and way too high. For some reason (I think it has to due with wheelchair access) only the mods have the HA rooms with king beds, the deluxe rooms still have two beds. It's just frustrating to me that the only rooms that are handicapped accessible are the king rooms in the mod resorts. It's also frustrating because so many people want the king beds that when we call for a HI room there are none available in the mod category, and no Disney doesn't hold those rooms for handicapped requests. They fill them as requested regardless of whether it's someone wanting a king bed or someone needing a HI room. Also, in the HI rooms there is a little rise in the floor going into the bathroom facility I presume to prevent the water from running into the main room. The shower itself is huge with plenty of room for a wheelchair or two people. I felt the rooms were very well thought out and convenient for someone in a wheelchair, or just plain spacious for someone who is not.

YAY! I was able to watch the whole thing on itunes. For those of us who can't see it, it is a FREE DOWNLOAD on itunes.
But it made me sick. I get motion sickness easily, and all that bouncing around while he was walking made me feel yucky:scared: :guilty: ...but it was Beautiful!!!!!! And didn't look quite so big and intimidating as it seems before you actually see it.
