Thanks for all the advice. I think we will try to get there on a pool day and just eat lunch and enjoy AKL a little before taking their bus back to CSR. Thanks for the advice. :thumbsup2

Now does anyone know if Boma for lunch is a must have ADR or can we just walk up and be seated? :confused3 I am thinking it may be nice to just take things casual instead of rushing around and worrying about getting to an ADR on time.

A question about room requests. When I upgraded to CSR recently, I only upgraded to a standard view room, the view wasn't that important to me (although I will politely ask for a complimentary upgrade to a water view room when I arrive, it's worth a shot.) Anyway, when speaking to the CM I mentioned that I would prefer the Cabanas section. The CM seemed to think that there are no standard view rooms in the Cabanas section, but she put in the request anyway. Is it true that there are no standard view rooms in Cabanas? In looking at the map of the resort, it looks like the back of the buildings look over a parking area. Are they're no rooms on the back of the buildings, are they all on one side, the water side?

Does the Pepper Market sell a large pizza? This is one our favorite meals. The kids like it and it's cheap . I have looked at the menu and only saw the small ones.

The cabana village does have standard view rooms, the problem is that the cabana village is the smallest village of the three. And since most of the request are probably for cabana rooms, that could be more of an issue than anything.

Hmm, that's OK. At this point I just want to get there. I need a vacation. Last night I dreamed that I arrived and was assigned to Rancho 7B and I was fine with that. Now that's a pretty specific dream and it shows just where my mind has been the past few weeks. It's all these ADRs I've been making that has me thinking about the trip more and more. Anyway, the way I see it, Rancho 7B does look pretty good to me. It's close to a bus stop, a quiet pool and the Dig Site pool. Sure it's a farther walk to the main building, but I'm a healthy guy, I can handle the walk or I can ride the internal shuttle. I'm thinking of calling back and adding Rancho 7B to one of my requested locations, perhaps bumping it to the number 1 choice with a secondary choice of a Cabana location.

7b is a nice spot. That is the one rancho building that really doesn't look like the rest of the ranchos because it has some trees surrounding the back side. Have a great trip!!

Does anyone know about this? If they don't sell large pizzas, any suggestions on local places that deliver?

Thanks!

Ok, I guess my question is what or how do I go about getting a room I want and not one that they want to stick us in? I told them we needed non-smoking, we paid for a king room (or waterview) the CM said the only waterview had twin beds; this means 2 full beds in the room or 2 twin beds in the room? So I took the twin bed thing to mean 2 twin beds, so I told the CM King bed with whatever view. The CM told me it could be with water or not. My question (LOL) is will we get a better room the earlier we check in, or do I need to call/fax a request for a certain building. By the way this is our first (of many) trips to Disney resorts, as if you couldn't tell! :rotfl2:

:hourglass

When I booked, I requested cabanas 9b and it is noted on my ressie. However, I did not request a king bed. What are my chances of getting a king bed if I request at check in. We will be arriving mid- week and early if that helps.

I took the twin bed thing to mean 2 twin beds. no twin beds, there are 2 double/full beds

I told the CM King bed with whatever view. The CM told me it could be with water or not. true, requests are not guaranteed

My question (LOL) is will we get a better room the earlier we check in, or do I need to call/fax a request for a certain building. The only time I did not get the request I asked for was when I checked in late in the day.

there are only 124 king rooms out of 1921 rooms so I wouldn't get my hopes up

Buzz2001 - or anyone who may know...

Hair wraps - the kind where they bead some stings of hair - does CSR have the same type of thing at the CSR pool ? Our DD missed out doing her hair with beads at the WL pool. She wants to do it on our next trip.

They used to but when we were there in April, the hair station was gone. It used to be poolside but since you can't do it with wet hair, it didn't make much sense to be by the pool.

DD8 loves the hair wraps! We'll be at CSR at the end of the month (DD8 still doesn't know about it!), and I'm sure she'll be looking for a hair wrap. If they don't have them at CSR (my guess is they do have them at CSR somewhere), she'll go over to DTD like she did last time.

Is the wi-fi access at CSR free? The resort info on the disney website doesn't specify, so I am guessing it is not, but would like to know if anyone knows. Thanks.
