Does anyone know what buildings used to be smoking buildings? I think my only request will be to be in an original non smoking building....

Buzz, could you tell me what the parking situation is like at CSR? I was wondering if you end up in a room that's far from say the dig site or the food court, can you drive your car from your room and park next to the pool or main building? Are the parking lots right behind your rooms? Thanks in advance for your help :)

cabana 9a was the only smoking optional building. It's great that it no longer is because it is a great location.

Yes, you can drive your car to the main building. The parking lot at CSR is like a large ring around the resort so you can always park next to your room. See the photo below. The only place you can not park next to is the main pool but the lot near cabana 8a is very close.

Thank you for both answers, Buzz! That aerial shot is perfect! Looks like there is plenty of parking and thanks for the tip of where to park for the main pool!

I've a question about room locations -- we want to book a junior suite/king bed, but also would love to be in the Cabanas section. Is there a junior suite with king bed in the Cabanas section? Or would I have to be in the Casitas section for that? Thanks!!

There is a jr suite in cabana 8b and one in cabana 9b but I think they are two full beds...not 100% sure though. All the rest are in the casitas.

I originally asked which building used to be smoking because I was reading on other posts from different resorts that the smoke smell was still there in the old smoking rooms. I'm hoping someone who has stayed at CSR recently could help us out. Maybe WDW just hasn't done a full renovation yet of the smoking rooms???

I was just wondering why there is a 10 percent gratuity for the counter service at Pepper Market? But if eat outside or take it back to the pool or your room, there is not gratuity added on? :confused3

I just visited CSR last month for the first time. Our family was on the DDP so the gratuity was included. We would have a hostess bring us to the table, and then a server came over and took our drink order and explained how the place worked. We got our own food but the server got our drinks and refills and any other condiments we wanted. They also asked us if we wanted coffee. I read that the 10% goes to all the workers in the PM including the chefs so to me it's not a big deal. The servers also clear your table.

There is a different ticket you have to use not to get charged the 10%. We did it once . There are some nice tables on the back deck over looking the lake so eating out there can be nice too.

Thanks, Carol! Now I understand, there is a little service involved. So if you're on the DDP, the tip is included with your counter service credit?

Yes, the tip is included making the Pepper Market one of the best values on Disney property for guests on the DDP. Where else can you get a prime rib or rib eye for CS credit.

Hi, new here. Just wanted to thank Buzz2001 and everyone for all the info in this thread. We're heading to WDW & the CSR for a last minute trip. It's our first time ever, Can't wait to get there!

ahhhhhhhh....... 40 more days til my stay at coronado springs......

anyone know yet about the rooms still smelling like smoke or not in the cabanas??

when is the pool going to be closed for renovations in 2008? i read it earlier in the thread but cant find it again. thanks!

I heard that CBR not CSR is going to be closed in 2008 . I believe the dates are from January to April and it is the main pool only not the quite pools.
