Hello All,

I've been browsing tons of pages in the beginning and tons in the end --- and have not found what I'm looking for --- although I found enough to have booked this resort!!!

We have never been to Disney World -- Have done a Disney Cruise but never to the World!

I just booked 4 nights in May 08 following a 4 night cruise and am maybe a little more excited about this than the cruise... my question is about the dining plan and reservations --- if I should ask this elsewhere or if I should be directed elsewhere -- please let me know.

When and how can you make advanced reservations? (I know there are abbrevations for all of this stuff but have yet to learn the lingo.)

Thanks in advance for any direction!:goodvibes

If you are talking about dining reservations, you can call WDW and book them over the phone. On the DIS main page is a calendar to follow telling you when you can book.

Hi all,
DH & I will be at CSR in mid November. I noticed there'll be two different conventions while there. Does anyone notice if the conventioners get drunk and roam around the resort like that? I don't mind so long as no one gets belligerent.

Thanks.

In my nine trips to CSR, I've never experienced any bad behavior from the convention guests or regular guest for that matter. The only thing is the food court can get busy but that could happen at any dining place at another resort.

The bar can get boisterous but that's about it. Our room (in the Ranchos) was nice and quiet every night.

Thank you, that's reassuring. :thumbsup2 The food court won't bother us either, as we expect a crowd at such a large resort.

For those of you (us) looking for an answer to the Cabanas 9A smoking smell question....I found this in a post yesterday:

Beware of Former Smoking rooms!

We had a recent stay at Coronado Springs. It was a beautiful resort. BUT, when we checked in, I even asked if the room was a former smoking room, and was told, "I don't know". OK, we headed over, and we were shocked at the smell in the room! ARGHH. They moved us RIGHT away, we were lucky rooms were available. The CM who brought us the new keys said everyone who gets sent into that building asks to be moved. I was happy they did not just offer to set up those air cleaners, and to spray the room. (it does not really work that well) The smelly building was 9A. (the curtains might have been the main issue, they reeked) They moved us to 9B, and it was wonderful!

Oh dear, that is not good. I absolutely cannot stand smoke, and OLD SMOKE is SO MUCH worse I think. :( I will have to call and request not to be in 9a, because I originally requested the Cabanas. :scared1:

Well, I've upgraded to here from POP for 12/8-12/15/07 :). So now I get to read all these threads!! Woohoo  :cool1: :yay: :cheer2:

HI!

I was wondering how big are the fridges in the room? I'm planning to order from an online grocer which will take care of our breakfast and snack needs. How much is it to rent a microwave? We might think about getting microvable breakfast sandwiches.

Thanks! I CANT WAIT!

I'm staying at CSR Sept 21-29 (surprise trip for DD6 and DS5). woohoo!!!!

We stayed there last year and we LOVED it. We also went to the World this February and stayed at POR - we liked CSR a LOT better.

Has anyone here traveled to the world in September? What can I expect for busing? When we stayed at POR, we waited in TERRIBLY long lines especially to get back to the resort at night. Sometimes it was 45 mins or an hour.

Buzz,

What does a Water View room buy me?

Believe the answer you will be is a 'view of water' It could be a fountain, the lake, a small brook or anything that has water. I was going to upgrade, but I'm going in December, it's going to get dark early, and I have so much planned that I probably wont get to enjoy it anyway.. :D

The fridges are small dorm room size fridges. CSR has microwaves on a first come, first serve basis (nothing guaranteed). I've rented from http://www.abbf.com/pricelist.html. Good prices and merchandise.

thanks for the site. i will look into it!

and if i do get a microwave from CSR, what are the fees per night?

buzz, the site you gave me is great! im little confused with their pricing..

the microwaves say 17 dollars up to 3 nights. is that 17 dollars per night?

thanks again

It's really only bad at the value resorts, I went last september and it wasn't that long of a wait.

Have fun on the surprise trip!!
