Looks like my finace and I will be there Jan 8-13th for our Honeymoon. We are currently booked at the Wilderness Lodge, but it looks like we have to downgrade to save some $$. Hopefully I won't be disappointed!! :sunny:

Can someone please tell me the best way to get from CSR to Ohana' for a 625pm ressie? What time should we plan on leaving the resort? We'll be there Nov 9-12 and can't wait to get there!!!! TIA :)

To lshaffer - Even though there are no preferred sections at CsR, King bedrooms are generally a bit more expensive than the standard rooms - Just an FYI.

If you do not have a car, the best way is to take the bus to MK. From there, take the "resort monorail" to poly. It will be your 3rd stop.

You could also take the regular monorail, which stops at the ticket and transportation center and walk to the poly, but that would seem longer to me.

Disney always advises to give it at least an hour to get to another hotel using the Disney transportation.

Thanks Buzz! Looks like it has all the info I could ever need!! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to thank Buzz again. His website made my stay at CSR the best ever! I LOVE this resort!! Even though I want to try and stay at all the resorts, if I have to choose a moderate, it will be CSR. We had a wonderful time and it was because I was prepared from researching the resort on Buzz's website and on the DIS.

I HIGHLY recommend Buzz's website for anyone who is thinking about staying at CSR.

Driving to WDW on Friday afternoon (from NYC area) and expect to arrive around noon on Saturday. I plan to call the reservation desk and put in a request for Rancheros 7b (close to Dig, has quiet pool and laundry facilities). Was also going to put in a request for having the room available early (so we get right in to the room). We are hoping to just hang by the Dig on Saturday. What are the chances we can get into our room by noon? Anyone ever try this?

We've not stayed on site in a while... not sure how they would accomodate an early arrival... We will be beat on Saturday and would hate to have to putter around for a few hours to wait for a room.

The earliest I've ever gotten a room was 10:30am so I guess it can happen. Good luck and have a great stay! We done the drive a few times from CT.

We were in our room before noon, and the resort was pretty full. I know this because they put us in a 2BR suite in Casitas the first night (which was a room only night I'd added to our trip, didn't arrive until midnight) then moved us over to Ranchos for the rest of our package stay. They had nothing in Ranchos the night before. 7B is a nice location.

Buzz, we noticed by the Ranchos quiet pool there were lots of families with very young children with rooms right around the pool itself. Have you ever noticed that? Do you think they request those rooms or that they try to put these families right by the pool? Just curious.

No, I've usually notice singles or couples. Lots of book reading, relaxing and seclusion. The quiet pool that I've seen lots of families is the casita pool.

Hi,

This is a great thread. My 4yo DD and I are going to CSR in late November with another mom and her 5yo DD so all of the tips are great!

A few questions:

1) Are the beds in the room moveable? Both DD's are very restless sleepers. We've requested bedrails for them but since we won't be arriving until midnight, I worry a little that they may be out of bedrails by then If we could move the beds against the walls, then it won't be so terrible if we don't get the bedrails that first night.

2) Does the Chinese food station at Pepper Market serve noodle or rice dishes? Both little girls are somewhat picky eaters but they both could eat Chinese noodle or rice dishes with no problem (probably since that's what they usually eat at home...we're Chinese ;) ) As much as we're going to try to expand their repertoire in Disney, it would be nice to know that we could get them some rice or noodle dishes back at the resort if they're really having a hard time with all of the new foods (my DD could probably eat chicken nuggets and french fries all week but I don't really want that, either, if I can help it)

3) Does anyone know how crowded the buses are around Thanksgiving time? We're leaning towards requesting rooms in the Casitas (even tho it may not matter at all because we're checking in so late at night we may not get our request :sad2: ) because it's near the first bus stop (bus stop 2) and we'll be more likely to get seats on the bus and not have buses pass up by because they're already full. Does that sound like a good idea or will it not really matter?

TIA,
HLDisney (23 more days until we're at WDW!!!)
