Hey there.
I love CBR. I knew going that the pool would be closed but this was just a quick 3nt/4day stay without the kids (husband at swan/dolphin ibm conference) so I thought it would be good....it was good but....
I remember when we stayed before and the main pool was open the quiet pools were quiet and peaceful but now all the kids/families and everyone is at the quiet pools....so the temp. was 18/19 cloudy and our quiet pool (aruba) was nowhere near quiet. My thought is....when it is actually nice like may-sept. and everyone wants to be in/around the pools it is going to be crazy....
Aruba didn't have a slide.
Our first trip we stayed at building 31 trinidad north which from a map you will see is the building just directly beside Port Royale which was great then but could be considered noisy if you were staying on the port royale side of that section.
The pool area is totally excavated now...no clue there was a pool there before although they are still digging.
I liked Aruba.....the end of the bus pick ups though and we did have a time where the M.K bus was full and we had to wait for a second one to come...
Plus ....your last or 2nd last getting off after a trip back from a park so I preferred staying at Trinidad north or Martinique. I would pick martinique for sure right now to avoid construction and be first pick up on the buses.
ALso....I didn't see any organized things going on for the kids....and there were plenty of soccer teams staying on property.
I have to say....we are going in March for a grand gathering with my parents and my brother and his family and we have decided on Port Orleans Riverside (F.Q pool closed also) but I am sure next year if we go again it will be back to CBR.....just for now it will be another resort.
Just my 2 cents.
It's hard to be unhappy when you're at Disney so go an enjoy whichever you choose.
I can still smell disney on my clothes I took out of my luggage. Ahhhhhh.
Sad to be home
but happy to see the kids.
Denise
